I singled out one of the portraits from this piece because I thought they looked interesting on their own.

My work is a mess but I like it being that way.

I like not knowing where something is going when I first start it because it allows the painting to finds itself along the way. And I always end up with unexpected but welcome results.

This may not be the most "egregious" example of my unhinged process but it is one where I enjoy seeing the different stages and felt there was something valuable there to be shared.

And now I think I need a break lol.

Or at least some time away from constantly thinking about what to put up next.

That said, I do still have a few leftover things laying around in my iPad: little WIPs and process videos that can be shared now that I've finally decided to create an online space for my work. I will be posting more intermittently. And I do have bigger plans that may one day become a reality.

For now, I'd like to allow myself to think of posting 100 works as the big step that it is for me.

But you'll still be seeing me around <3

Not sure how else to describe this one. I was reworking a previous portrait and things spread out of it that I felt resembled sporelike growths.

Maybe just a hint more intricate than originally intended but I had to go where the ideas were taking me.

I might develop a full figure for this one eventually but I'm happy with her decorative elements for now.
