I added some images I liked to the original post :) I don't know. felt right-

A Way Out  // SPOILER for Rhythm of War 

Ha! It is. A thing. When I tried to continue my draw-along / re-read through of RoW one and a half years ago, I got stuck on this scene because the dialogue was too long for a comic fitting on social media, so i decided to try some kind of video animatic thingy and and behold! It finally is.  

It took a few tries and in the end it was 74 images I mashed together in Adobe Premiere.

It even has sound! Many great thanks to Thom Isaacs who was so kind to let me use his track Duration Erosion as background ambience for this dark scene. He recorded this music in an underground oil tank with some of the longest reverb inside a man made structure. It’s really cool! Definitely check his work out!

The track matched what I was going for so well that I am really happy that it now accompanies the images.

What is next!? Less dark stuff? Perhaps. We’ll see…

I watched Knives Out last night with my family and was reminded of your absolutely DELIGHTFUL stormlight x knives out art and how perfectly it works

Haha, thank you! I remember having a LOT of fun doing that cross-over. Adolin deserves that Chris Pratt pullover. I even took up that design as a basis his Christmas Card sweater ... even though on the card itself, Adolin's clothing isn't really that visible.

Last year I asked @duckngk for a little art trade, since I wanted to see more Warbreaker characters from them. I did love the Hoid they made so much. And in return they asked for some cute CordRysn art. (Which I got to hand them as a print during Nexus last year 😊)

More playing around with style approaches. FemSanji is not something that I mind, but also not something I particular seek out. But How To Not Get a Date by Blasphemyandtheboys managed to get a hook in my mind. (Mind the fic is explicit – if that is something that matters to you). It managed to strike a balance both for Sanji's character and the Zosan dynamic, that was sweet and fun with the appropriate amounts of softness and abrasiveness. Anyhow, I was tickled with the challenge to get mix of masculine sturdiness and feminine elegance right and to have fun with lines and forms. That's all.

Sometimes you have to form your PMS sadness into a little baikal seal and balance it on your left shoulder. At least that way it is cute. jupp, still mentally stuck in this fandom hole. Wanted to try something more cartoony style wise and am rather happy with these lines. :D I never drew the whole crew before... certainly my first time drawing Franky and Jinbei and now I wonder why, because these two are a lot of fun to sketch!

I just finished the final empire and have started the well of ascension— finding your art was euphoric istg it’s so gorgeous and I love your style so much :D!!!

I am now only able to think about mistborn it’s high key consuming all my thoughts and the lack of a fandom is honestly diabolical but I love the art you did so much

Thanks! I am happy you enjoy my Mistborn explorations :D The fandom is there (probably not as extensive as Starlight, perhaps?) If you have not seen dealuna's Mistborn (and cosmere) art I can highly recommend it. Among her art are some of my favorite Vin and Kaladin depictions.

Hi I just wanted to tell you that your art is some of the most gorgeous stuff I've ever seen. You are hands down my favorite cosmere artist on tumblr. Your art was some of the first stuff I saw when I was just getting into the Stormlight Archive for the first time and it's stayed incredible in its rich detail and utter beauty since then.

... I said I feel into a One Piece whole. But only because one of friends dragged me back in. (Actually I've been reading the manga on and off for the last ... twenty?! years 😅 Given how long the manga has been running it is truly amazing how a story can go on for so long and still work so well)
