Summary: “Layton’s heart skipped with alarm as the stillness was pierced by a child’s frightened cry for his mother. He jumped from his seat at the desk and turned around, nearly knocking over the chair in his haste. His surprise scarcely lessened to realize that the sound was Luke.”

After witnessing the specter’s attack on North Ely, Luke is unable to sleep. Despite feelings of inadequacy, the professor steps up to help his young friend conquer his fears—with some help from a bit of puzzle-solving, of course! Essentially a tribute to the beginning of the duo’s legendary friendship and the trust they share. Created in contribution to the Professor Layton Big Bang 2024.
