My latest work
After completing @sewdesune 's tutorial plushies, I went ahead and tackled some of her more intermediate designs. Here's how they turned out:
Sylveon (eeveelution sitting pattern)

This absolute icon (and best eeveelution, no cap) was a true step up in difficulty for me.
For starters: I made some basic mistakes in a few details, like not checking the eyes for symmetry (rulers are your best friend!) nor cutting the bow seam allowance in the right shape, leading them to getting slightly deformed after turning outside out.
The most difficult part was the neck, since it involved sewing a straight edge into a curved one, which I had never done before. Took me a few tries, and it still didn't come out quite right (its a bit sunken in). But it was a valuable learning experience, nonetheless.
This sylveon served as a warm up for an even more challenging project:
Fluttershy (mlp pattern)

This was my very first commisioned work (kinda?), since I made it as a birthday gift to my older sister, who loves horses in general. She really liked the gen4 patterns I showed to her, and so I went right to work on this shy equine.
The body is much more slender and complex in comparison to the previous patterns, which required some very careful sewing on my part. like sylveon's neck, the foot bottoms also involved a lot of curved sewing, but I managed to do it right this time (for the smaller front hooves, I would recommend hand sewing.)
I got to fill some spots with poly pellets this time around. They really help with dustributing weight around the plush, especially towards the limbs and hind bottoms. (Always remember to use a funnel though, cuz these things are a nightmare to handle by hand >_<)
For the wings, I tried to add more stability to the pieces by adding a layer of felt underneath them. This helped the wings keep their shape, but they still hang a little bit too flopply from the main body. Still, a noticeable step up from previous projects.
Needless to say, Sis really loved her gift :)
If you would like to try your hand on these projects, here is the links to @sewdesune 's site, where you can download the pdfs for yourself:

5th plush completed

I finished this little Goober a few weeks back. That horn was a pain to attach, and the wings got a bit wonky in the back. But still, I appreciate the challenge in making it.

Trick or Treat Sheila (day 12?)

I was meaning to post this yesterday, but Life got in the way
It's a silly little pun I drew. This character is Sheila White, from the season 2 of maple town. Due to Japanese having no L sounds, the VAs always pronounced her name as "SheRa", which I found amusing. So I drew her wearing She-ra's outfit as a Halloween costume.
(Lighting is a bit poor cuz of a power outage at the time).

you're going about your normal day when, suddenly, surprise! you've been pokémon mystery dungeon'd!
unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the pokémon assigning quiz has been canceled. instead, you must spin THE WHEEL, assigning you a random, unevolved, non-legendary and non-mythical pokémon. you must now go on some sort of world-saving adventure as this pokémon. good luck!
tell me in the tags what you rolled, and how you feel about it - for bonus points, you can spin the wheel again for (or just take your pick of) a pokémon to be your partner.
bonus rules:
you're not shiny unless the wheel tells you you're shiny
take your pick of regional forms and evolutions (for example, if you roll vulpix, it's up to you whether that means normal or alolan vulpix)
apply whatever logic you like with regards to gender
have fun and be yourself!
#anorith and finizen#my form is alright but my partner is a killing machine in the making!#Not sure how his ability would work though

Inktober Day 9: Sun

Today I got to test my brand new felt tip pens. I'm still getting used to them, as you can see by some of the messy lines I did. But I'm really loving them so far, especially with their stark black color; It really makes a drawing pop.
I have also started to practice my hatching, and I definitely have a long way to go. I also tried doing a "scarier" looking sun, but I wasn't happy with the shading. Either way, I will still make sure to practice a lot in that area from now on.

Day 7: weird oc?

Look, I REALLY tried to make something out of "passport", but I just couldn't.
So instead, I drew this little gremlin I have been developing recently. He's a magical bird jester that stands on single leg and can spin like a top. I'm still developing this OC, so he may go through more changes in the future (I also haven't figured out a name for him yet, so I'm open for suggestions).
as for the art itself, I decided to try outlining him with a ballpoint pen; the results weren't too bad, actually (aside from a few wonky lines). However, I think the perspective got a bit messy with the arm further back. Nevertheless, I will still keep on experimenting with dynamic poses.
here's some concept art of him I made in the past:

toodles!

4th plush completed

Had a lot of pauses, but I finnaly finished my bunny plush. The circular sewing on the bottom turned out rather wonky, since it's my first time attempting that. But overall, it turned out better than I expected.

Day 5: Binoculars

"Lilly looks at the Eagle gang's hideout with her pair of Binoculars"
Not very proud of this I have to admit, considering the time I spent making it. But I managed to finish it, which is something at least.
Regardless, feel free to critique. Insight is much appreciated.

Inktober day 3: Bootergeist

for those of you who better at art, can you tell me if I got the perspective right? I'm still training this aspect.
I masw a much more elaborate entry today. Thanks to the timer method, I managed to get way more stuff done.
here is also the sketches I did beforehand, if anyone is curious:

A first-timer's inktober
I know these aren't inked. But I wanted to do it regardless.
My main goal in this Inktober is to practice character design. So for day one, I made a protagonist for a suburban RPG, similar to earthbound (but furry). Her name is Lilly.
I was planning to draw Lilly in a much more dynamic pose, showing off her backpack. But my perfectionism really slowed things down, so I only have these few sketches and a static pose (alongside my written ramblings.)
this design is subject to change, so do feel free to critique it if you are interested.

Accidental sass
This is the third Plushie I have made so far. When I sewed the muzzle, it got a bit crooked and gave this dog a slightly sassy look. It was a happy little accident, I'd say.

caine and bubble as funtime freddy is damn perfect.
TADC x FNAF - The AMAZING Digital Pizzeria! (Crack)
Security Breach x TADC version!
If you think there's a lot of design inconsistencies, I'd just like everyone to know it's intentional because the ideas wouldn't work if I kept it consistent
I also tried not to make my choices too obvious for this one, but despite the huge ass roster of FNAF animatronics, there's not exactly a lot that would work very well with the TADC cast so I had to take a LOT of creative liberty 😭😭
Who's who: Glamrock Chica (Pomni), Funtime Freddy and Bon-bon (Caine and Bubble), Golden Freddy (Kinger), Toy bonnie (Jax), Mangle (Zooble), Puppet (Gangle), Withered Chica (Ragatha)
Side note: NEVER let Funtime Freddy be a ringmaster. IT WILL NOT END WELL.

Lucas and Kim, of Team Blues Bros
Recently, a friend of mine got me interested in playing explorers of sky. And I have been really enjoying the game so far! I made this little fanart of my current team to hone my skills. I think there's still a lot of room for improvement, so feel free to give me some criticism in the comments.
