The magnus institute is in the pokemon world but its peoples stories and experiences with pokemon, because some of those pokedex entries are pretty fucked up.

Like someone makes a statement about their child who caught a drifloon and then one day sees their child being taken by it and haven't found the drifloon or the child since.

Or someone who is being tormented by a darkrai forced to have terrifying nightmares every time they go to bed

Or someone seeing a friend or their pokemon get horrifically murdered by another pokemon

Adorable, slightly sad headcanon

I think tim would enjoy fishing because when tim and Danny were younger, their parents would send them to their grandparents' house for a few weeks in the summer, and the boys would love it.

One or two times a week, they would all spend time together down by a local lake, where the boys would play, swim together, look at bugs , and so forth. In the afternoon they would sit with their grandad as he fished and when they were younger would grab sticks while pretending to fish next to their grandad. When the two were old enough, he would buy them their own fishing poles for the next visit and teach them how to fish.

That would be how the two would end their summers with their grandparents, with both stand beside grandad, grandma coming up with hot drinks and all of them watching the sun go down before packing up for the night.

Tim would still go fishing to that local lake every now and then, only this time, he'd be alone, pretending he'd still experience those happy summers with his family

About the distortion and how their heads move

Michael can extend his neck to have impossibly long joints in his neck, his neck is already a little long, but can extend till his face to face with someone while his body is still far away

Helen: her head can twist to the point it should be broken. Her head can tilt over 90 degrees to a point that is inhumanly possible, and she also never has her face staring straight at you. It's always tilted or turned but never straight ahead, til that moment in mag, I think 186, I think, with her and jon in the distortion

I just realized how gut-wrenching it would be for Tim knowing Melanie remembered the real Sasha when he didn't. Imagine your best friend who you've known for years gets killed and replaced without you knowing, but the one person who realises is someone who talked to them, maybe once or twice. They would know your true friend more than you, someone who knew them for so long, and wanting to ask about your real friend only they can't give you the answers, because they don't know, because now they are a stranger to you both in different ways, and that would be a hellish thing to think about

When it's snowing, the OIAR night staff come in and see an army of snow ducks just surround the building. Turns out Alice had a lot of spare time and one of these.

If one ends up destroyed, another will take its place, her snow duck army will never die (you know, til spring starts)

Okay, I've had this thought for a while and this could stem from a misunderstanding of the corruption, but one og archival gang I haven't seen anyone point out is corruption tim, but not the being ill or bugs or something, but canonically he is known to be a flirt, so what if this grew and ended up with him as a toxic lover? It no longer came from him needing information but more because he loved the feeling of leading people on, watching people fall for him even though he would destroy them. They still crave his companionship. Again, this could all stem from not fully understanding how the corruption works in that aspect, but I've thought about this before clearly
