Not trying to be a total bitch but there's something uniquely enraging about having been an environmentalist for decades, where we were trying and trying and trying to get the general population and like, city planners and the Forest Service etc etc to give a SINGLE fuck about climate change, and now that it's in irreversible full swing, seeing all these fuckers get to be "part of the solution!!1!" with all this sudden eco-friendly city planning (a la the article about LA and the development of basically urban wetlands) or wildlands remediation when like, okay, so you willingly worked in a sector that is literally fundamentally part of the problem for decades but now you're a hero because you "figured out" what a wetland is or what fuels reduction in forests is, meanwhile so many environmental activists are like, living in poverty or in prison or dead or some shit and this goes TRIPLE QUADRUPLE for those indigenous folks you happily oppressed for decades but yeah Jeff go off about bio-remediation in urban landscape planning I guess, glad you can look like a hero while also being able to afford living the fuckin American Dream
