The first problem I met across while learning Italian by myself is this sound: /ʎ/ or /ʎʎ/. According to me, it is more or less the same sound as the Spanish LL, as both are represented with the same symbol /ʎ/. However, in the audios from my book, it sounds a little different; on online dictionaries, it sounds more different, and so on.

Do you also have problem with this or another sound?

I got bored during the lockdown. I finished my French grammar book and continued working on my English book, but I wanted to do something new. Before I try to learn Korean but I quit it. This time I tried something a little bit more alike to Spanish, so I bought this book and started learning Italian.

So far I have just studied:

Presentation

Numbers (0 - un miliardo)

Present tense (Regular verbs and to be, to have, to go and to come)

Singular and plural

Time, days, months and seasons

Colors

A few prepositions

Frequency adverbs

Family members

/tʃ/, /k/, /dʒ/, /ʎ/, /ɡ/, /ɲ/, /ʃ/ and /sk/ sounds

I do recommended it if you wanna get started in this language by yourselves.
