Im still alive LOL. Anw, here's me saying that Im currently working on PYK part IV and Im planning on ending it there. So do expect that the update is going to be hella long. And also, sorry for being MIA. College hit me like a bullet train, I literally forgot that I write stories to distress. P.S. the update still has a long way and I can't really tell a date when I can finish it. Hopefully though, I can write in peace this whole week since I'm currently on Univ break. Thanks guys for giving my stories a chance! If you're still here, I love you. Stay safe!

three.
Sighing for the last time as you close your eyes as you rubbed your temples, “No, no. It’s okay. It’s your first time encountering the fluctuation. Just take note of what I said.” You softly explained to the resident doctor, hanging his head low.
After a few more apologies from the resident doctor, you went to the hospital cafeteria to buy coffee.
“No, just bring her back home tomorrow. I won't return, I'll be on stand-by for now.” Reaching out your card to pay for your food as you continued to talk with Dino on the phone.
Shaking your head as you dropped the call, you went back to your room to work on some cases that you were handling.
"Sure, I can take a quick visit there. Yeah, yeah. So I can also see if I'd want a thing or two in my room. Hmm. Would it be possible to tag my children along? Alright, thank you so much." Pressing the end button, Jeonghan quickly made his way back to their couch. Calling his twins that were focused on watching television, "Dada's going out, who wants to come?"
Whipping their heads in unison, both breaks in to a smile and raised their hands as they both yelled "Me!"
"Well, yeah. That's pretty much it. You can have a quick call with my department through the nurses' station since the telephone here has been disconnected for a while now." With a few more reminders, Jeonghan bid the staff goodbye before wandering his eyes around his new office.
It was still bare, but it was left clean. It was probably taken good care of the cleaning department.
"Is this your room, dada?" Jeonghan nodded, brushing his daughter's cheeks out of fondness. "Dada room, big!" Giving out big hand gestures as his son's eyes sparkle.
"Is it?" He asks, earning high-pitched yes from them.
He was watching his children with a fond gaze when the speaker blasted the emergency sound. Acting out of impulse, he quickly stood up, almost startling his twins as he reached for his chest pockets - only to find out that he wasn't in his coat and that he is now a psychiatrist, not an intern. Laughing at his actions, he looks down at his twins that froze as they looked at him with wide eyes, "Sorry angels," He coos, crouching down to hug his twins, giving them both quick and light kisses on the cheek.
"The patient is currently having an episode!" The nurse quickly calls. You paid no mind to her direction as you pulled out your pen to see the dilation of the patient. "What was the last dose given to him?" Abruptly pocketing the pen as you reached for the patient's chart to see what the medication was. But you heard no one answer you the moment you saw what was written in the chart.
"Give him Ketoconazole," Swiftly making your way towards the designated stool for your patient to grab a medication safe for both seizures on intoxication and withdrawal reactions on renal transplantations and Ketoconazole.
The nurse practically flew as she came back with the medication as she reached for you the vial. You tilted it carefully, extracting the right dosage before pushing the solution out of the syringe.
You felt your shoulders relax as you watched the patient slowly recover from the seizure. Taking in a deep breath as you held your forehead, "Did the patient gain consciousness earlier?" You asked voice strained from the tension you didn't realize earlier.
"Yes, Doc." You could notice the quiver in her voice, but you were too stressed to open your eyes and lift your head. "How about visitors? Did he have any?" You didn't hear her answer, causing you to let out a breath.
Lips pursed, you looked at the nurse that looked at you nervously. "I... I wasn't on duty earlier..."
You tried to control your voice, not wanting to take it out on the poor girl. "Who was it?" The nurse answered in a low voice, "It was Nurse Anna..."
You couldn't help but laugh emptily. "Nobody was available to guide her?" Your brows furrowed as the corners of your lips curved downward. "No wonder nobody informed me about the patient gaining consciousness earlier."
The silence stretched for a few more minutes before regaining your composure, "You can go," you called he nurse before she could reach the door, "And can you please inform the guardian about what happened? I'll monitor him for a while. I'll wait for them here."
After checking his watch for the nth time, "Let's go home?" Thinking the emergency has dissipated already.
Holding their hands with both of his hands, they walked along the hospital corridor. From there, he saw a familiar figure trying to talk with a hysterical person. He could visibly see the frustration on the Doctor's face but kept a straight face as she continuously opened her mouth.
For one, he could be an ignorant person and lead his children the other way, avoiding such conflict that his children can witness. Two, he could retreat back to his bare office and tell his children to behave as if he'll do something real quick - to which he did the latter.
He told his twins to behave while he was gone, or else they won't get desserts for dinner.
When he reached them, the guardian was still arguing, "Why would you let some airheaded nurse watch my husband?! I pay this hospital fortunes so he could recover! Not the other way around!"
For the nth time, you sighed deeply, lips pursed tightly as you fight the urge to roll your eyes at the guardian. "We apologize for the incident Mrs. Nam. It is an honest mistake on our part. We will be held accountable for the incident.-"
"No! Being held accountable won't make my husband recover from almost passing?! This is malpractice! I will sue this hospital!"
Eyes enlarging at the statement, "Mrs. Nam-"
"Ma'am, you should watch your words." A voice interfered causing both you and Mrs. Nam to look at the owner of the voice. "Jeonghan," You called, he briefly looked at you, nodding his head whilst scrunching his nose in acknowledgment.
"If you sue the hospital Ma'am, Doctor Y/L will still be held accountable and you will receive some sort of compensation. However, if you'll lose, not only will you pay for her legal bills, but your husband could possibly be forced to move to another hospital." You wanted to interject with his claim but as soon as you saw Mrs. Nam halt from her position, you kept your mouth shut and watched them talk.
"Sorry to intrude, but I am from Wen's Law Firm." Handing a business card to Mrs. Nam. "I may not be a lawyer or Attorney but I still know the law, Ma'am." He says, shocking you.
'Didn't he dreamt of being a lawyer..?' You thought, confusion painting your face.
With a few more convincing words, Mrs. Nam finally calmed down and conceded the argument. Hanging your head low as your buck hunched from tiredness, "Thank you for that Jeonghan," Lifting your head as your brows slanted, "But you didn't have to scare her like that."
He chuckles, "I saved you from that and all I get is nagging?" You couldn't help but shake your head with a small smile, "I meant, the suing thing. You didn't have to brag and lie about that. Plus, you don't work on that Firm anymore, you could get sued for breach of contract or something?"
"No, I won't." Keeping his smile, "I worked with Jun's Law Firm, he wouldn't mind it if I used the name for you." You felt your breath hitched as you fluttered your eyes on his words. Too surprised at the tender look he gave you.
Disregarding the warm feeling that was creeping out your face, "What're you doing here by the way? I thought you'll start in October?" You could see the surprise on his face, making you giggle. It reminded you of how he was always shocked hearing sweet words leave your lips.
"I checked my office. Would you like to see it? The twins are there," You wanted to decline, but the way his eyes largen as they began to sparkle, you didn't have the heart to say no to him.
"Say hi to your Aunt Y/N," Warm greetings followed by cute smiles were flashed in front of you. "Hi," You crouched to their level, patting both their heads which caused them to giggle at you.
"So how's the room so far?" You ask, before removing your gaze on his twins to look at him. You were expecting him to answer immediately but he wore this dazed look as he watched you with his children. It didn't make you uncomfortable, but it made you grimace at the thoughts that flashed through your head.
You wondered, 'Did he remember us?' Displeased at your own thought, you brushed your coat, as you stood up, breaking eye contact with him.
"What was that again?" You repeated your question, "Oh, I guess there's nothing more to add. I got the essentials already. Probably the telephone connection, but aside from that, I'm fine with what they offered now."
You now started to wander around, with the twins sitting on the desk as their eyes followed you around. You tried your best to look interested in every object in his office just to avoid his eyes.
You're scared to see memories flashing back in your mind.
"How 'bout a snack corner? So your twins could be entertained when you bring them here." You could hear a creak but were too afraid to look. "I don't really plan on frequently bringing them to work. I don't want them to see hysterical episodes when I work with patients." He languidly says. You could imagine him leaning on a wooden desk or something with his arms crossed around his chest. You could also feel his gaze on you.
"Makes sense." Clicking your tongue, "Dada what is hystercal.. Episode?" One of the twins asks making your ears perk up, awaiting his answer. "It's cartoon! Dada, Yejun, right?!" You couldn't help but grin at the twins' understanding, you were even tempted to peek at their reaction, imaging their eyes bulging, similar to how Jeonghan does when he tries to prove his argument.
"No, angel. It's not cartoons." He says, "It's something only big boys and girls understand." He coos, earning tiny groans from the two. "But Dada! Me, Yejun! Already four!" You were now watching them, Yuna flashing five fingers to Jeonghan, trying to prove a point.
Softly smiling, "Angel, that is a five. And you two are still three." He fondly says, brushing his daughter's hair, trying to soothe her grumpiness.
"But, Uncle Cheol said Yejun, Yuna is big already!" A pout was evident on Yejun's face, making Jeonghan grin before pinching his cheeks lightly.
"You have a lovely family Jeonghan," You unconsciously say, causing Jeonghan to glance at you.
The smile on his face grew even more as his eyes settle on the twins, "They're the sweetest."
"Yeah, I'm sure both you and your wife raised them well."
"You fucking didn't tell me Jeonghan's widowed!" You whispered-yelled at Dino through the phone. You could hear faint chuckles, most probably coming from Hoshi. Oh God, you could already imagine his annoying ass on your face, saying 'I told you you'll come around!'
"Well, we thought you didn't want to know! You were adamant back then that you didn't want to hear anything from him! Heck, even if he was still breathing, you didn't want to know!"
Pursing your lips for the nth time, "Are you guys still not finished camping?" The change in your tone probably ticked the guys the wrong way as you heard shuffling from the other line. "We'll be there in an hour." Ending the call as you entered Doctor's cave.
You were now getting lost in your thoughts, piling questions on your mind that wants to be answered. You didn't want to trouble anyone with the thoughts popping into your head, but the urge to call any of Jeonghan's or any of your friends related to Jeonghan aside from the three idiots was growing.

A sweet aroma filled the kitchen as the rays of sunlight slowly ran through the house. Humming as he set the pancakes on the plates, Mingyu then looked at his friend who had been watching him the entire time, “I should wake them up now, right?” Jeonghan asks, still groggy from waking up early in the morning as Mingyu bombarded him with texts and calls that he was coming over to cook breakfast for the twins.
“Why are you asking me? They’re your children, not mine!” Mingyu’s laugh triggered something in Jeonghan that finally woke his whole being. “Damn. Why didn’t you call me a night before this? I just fell asleep when you called you clumsy ass.” Snickering remarks to his friend who kept laughing at him.
“You? Just fell asleep at 4-AM? You’re lying.” Jeonghan ignored him, walking towards his twins’ room. He would be lying if he said that he was just busy doing chores and watching his kids sleep as thoughts haunted him, but he’d rather keep the reason to himself first.
He softly knocked on their door, opening it ever so slowly as he walked towards Yuna’s bed first. “Yuna, wake up. It’s time for breakfast,” Placing a soft kiss on her forehead before tapping his daughter by the shoulder.
He couldn’t help but wear a fond smile as he watched his daughter fluttered her eyes open. The fond smile slowly turning into a grin as her daughter rouses with a smile, “Good morning Dada,” She mumbles, stretching her arms towards him. Jeonghan gladly leaned in to be welcomed by a morning kiss on his cheeks by his daughter.
“Uncle Mingyu’s outside, he made you and Yejun breakfast.” He tells his daughter, amused at how she quickly rose from her bed, giggling as she calls for her uncle Mingyu.
Turning to his son who had his blanket covering half his face, he grins at how his son’s similar to his little habits. He crouched to face his son, smiling to himself as he adored the lines that drew around his face. Yejun got his father’s eyes, nose, and the lips. Almost a carbon copy of him, if he would insist.
His deceased wife would always complain that how come, none of the twins got her genes. And as he would always laugh it off, he would always tell her that they got her personality. But it had never occurred to him that he should’ve told her that they did got her genes. The arch of their brows that were longer than his, the folds of their ears that had the same lines and shape of their mother’s, the structure of their teeth that were relatively small highlighting their gums, they were the small details that he came to memorize as he gazed at his twins every time he remembers her.
Yejun must’ve stirred from Jeonghan’s constant caressing on his son’s brows that were now furrowed. “Dada?” Smiling at his son, “Good morning baby, did you have a good night’s sleep?” Yejun nodded, rubbing his eyes open. “Uncle Mingyu cooked you and Yuna breakfast, let’s go?” Hands in front of his son, ready to pick him up from bed to shake off his sleepiness.
Jeonghan groans, having enough of Mingyu’s glances. “What is it?” He whines, “You do look sleep deprived. Just noticed your bags, they look heavy.” Talking with his mouth that had a small amount of food, making his lisp easier to notice.
“I was unpacking.” Widening his eyes, “Until early in the morning?!” Holding both his hands to his mouth, “Who are you and where is the Yoon Jeonghan that was a lazy bum?!” Gasping exaggeratedly as Mingyu watched Jeonghan throw him a glare after rolling his eyes.
“Anyway, do you know any baby sitters? I have something to do and I can’t bring the twins there.” Grinning like a puppy, “I can babysit them! When is it?” Mingyu’s eyes were practically gems that were flashed with light that shined altogether. “You can’t. Didn’t you say you were busy on October?”
“October? October?! It’s still August though?!” Flabbergasted at how far it still was from the day Jeonghan had to be away.
“It’s on October fourth and I can’t give it a pass. It’s my first day at my new Job after all.” Humming at his answer, “Tell me again why you left the HR position on the firm and became a Psychiatrist instead?” Mingyu asks.
“I didn’t went to Med school to get my Medical Degree and license for nothing Gyu.” Chuckling in between, trying to hide the bitterness that lingered in his tongue.
“Oh, right…” Pursing his lips as he looks at Jeonghan with guilt.
“But where though?” Trying to divert the topic, “At St. Lukes.” A small ‘oh’ came out from Mingyu’s lips. Surprise visible with his slightly widened eyes. “Hoshi already told me, Wonwoo already gave me a heads up, Dino warned me, so yes. I know that Y/N also works there with the others.”
“Have you met her already?” Nodding lightly with a smile, “Yeah. Ran by her at the nearby park with her dog.”
“Talked to her too, and I’ve got to admit it,” Intently looking at Jeonghan with interest, “She’s changed, at the same time, she didn’t.” Jeonghan had this somber look on his face, but he could see that his smile was genuine. “I guess she pretty much matured? It is— or it has, been a long time since I last saw and talked to her causally. It was, warm and nostalgic.” Mingyu notices the smile on Jeonghan’s face but kept silent about it.
“You! Dumbass!” You practically sprawled your arms towards Hoshi who was now trying to get away from you, “You stupid piece of shit ass head!” You kept yelling, pinching his arms, pulling strands of his hair, “How could you loose a dog! A leashed dog to add!” Hoshi kept muttering apologies, still trying to get away from your grasps, coaxing you that’ll he’ll find Manju whatever happens.
“What the hell?” Wonwoo asks, hands full with two plastic bags, full of food. “Hoshi just lost Manju while we were inside.” Dino shares as the two of them watched you and Hoshi run around the block, you trying to kill him and Hoshi trying to save his own life.
“But you’re holding her?” Looking down at the sitting dog that had her tail wagging as it watched its owner chase down her handler earlier. “Y/N saw her the moment we stepped out of the store, thank God no one took the chance to kidnap the dog.” Chortling, “I don’t think Manju would easily come with strangers. The dog’s smarter than you and Hoshi combined.” Earning a glare from Dino, Wonwoo kept on laughing as the other started rambling on how he has the brains as he’s a doctor.
“Are we there yet?” It was the nth time Dino had ask and it looked like Hoshi was getting sick of it as he smacked him from the front seat. You laughed at Dino’s misery but was quickly stopped when you bumped you’re head to Wonwoo’s seat who was driving. “Karma works fast,” Letting out his tongue at you teasingly.
Non stop bickering filled the car with you amusingly watched Hoshi and Dino debate about chicken rights. “Nut heads.” Wonwoo mumbles, joining you as Hoshi passionately defended queer chicken rights.
It took roughly eight minutes before the bickering two noticed that the car has come to a halt. “We’re here?!” Dino excitedly claims, “Please let there be ko emergencies,” quickly mumbling as he went out of the car.
The three of you simultaneously sighed before wishing that Dino didn’t jinxed your outing.
“Are you excited?” Malice hidden within Hoshi’s squinting eyes, the conscious grin he wore made you feel weirded out by him. “Excited for what?”
“See him at work!” Hoshi squeals, sounding like a teenager who rolled on his bed at night just because his crush talked to him. “See who?” Feinting ignorance as you continued to brush your dog’s fur.
“Jeonghan!” pursing your lips, “Why would I? Its not like were still close or ended up in good terms,” still refusing to look to Hoshi’s direction.
“But didn’t you miss him?” Pouting as looked for your eyes, “I did… But that’s all in the past now. I’m happy for him knowing that he has a stable job to sustain his little family.” Refusing to give Hoshi your gaze, you hear him sigh as you felt him straightening from his sit. “You really won’t ask anything?” He sadly says which you nodded earning another sigh from him.
“Well, if you really won’t ask, don’t blame me when he talks to you again! Or when you talk to him again?” Sounding confused at his own words, “Ah! Whatever! Don’t blame me when you two start talking again!”
“Has Hoshi been bugging you again with Jeonghan?” Dino asks which you laughed at whilst nodding your head. He had his brows furrowed at you, hesitating to open his mouth before shaking his head and smiling as if it was nothing.
“If you’re here to tell me about Jeonghan again, I swear to the heaven’s Kwon Hoshi that you’ll be seeing live chickens being cook in front of you.” Laughing at your reaction, “I’m not! I was just going to help you with that,” Pointing towards the fruit that you were peeling.
“Want to go on a blind date? I know someone,” Hoshi offers making you roll your eyes, “Not interested.”
“Why though? Isn’t it time for you to settle down?” He asks, curiosity painting his face. Truth be told, he was right. Among the friends that you have, either they’re already committed, engaged or even married. Slowing down from peeling the fruit in your hand, you could feel a small smile crept in your face. You did want to build a family with someone, but that was a dream you once had in the past.
“I’m fine being a dog lady.” You say jokingly. Abruptly standing from your seat as you’ve already finished half (since Hoshi did say that he wanted to help you) “So please excuse this dog lady to tend to her very lovely dog.” Snorting, “More like very aggressive dog.” You smacked his head and watched him playfully glared at you as you walked towards your dog.
Each of you were busy with what your doing when a phone rang. You four simultaneously looked at each other before looking for who’s phone it was.
“Fuck,” You cursed, seeing the saved contact on your screen flash, all caps, ICU. “Keys!” You yelled, before catching it from Wonwoo. “Take Manju for me!” You say before running off to the car and bolted your way to the hospital.

Somewhere, in my wildest dreams.
Tumblr media
Sneaking in her father’s Science Lab to find his most prized treasure - the time machine. With one look at her reflection, she was brought back to the 1800s, where the country was ruled by the royals, where the societal hierarchy was evident. How will she return to the present world if all things were in medieval age?

Part 1
“You better not throw another party here Diane, I don’t want to see our roof burned down. Again!” Her father nags as she watched her mother pull him away, telling him how late they’ll be if he keeps nagging on their legal aged daughter. “She’s a grown up now, silly! Let her have fun! And let me, have fun!” Emphasizing the me as she snickered at her husband.
“I won’t! Don’t dilly-dally for too long my beloved parents! The night won’t wait for you two!” Diane says, pushing them out of the house. “Okay, have a party, but—” Cutting her father’s words, “But don’t burn the house. I get it, I get it! I won’t throw a party, promise. Now run along! Enjoy your date, love birds!” Pushing them inside the car, waving them goodbye as she watched car’s engine ignite and soon drove away from their home.
Inwardly smirking, “Of course no parties, I’m checking out the time-machine,” Talking to herself as she skipped her way down her father’s Laboratory. Being the only daughter of a well-known Scientist, may have its perks. Having their own Scientific Lab inside the house is perfect for a curious person like her. Its dad’s genes she believes.
Pressing down buttons that created a familiar tune, she watched in awe as the doors begun to open, the AI welcoming her inside as usual. “Good evening Miss Diane. Such a wonderful evening today.” It says, in its most robotic sound.
“A wonderful evening it is! Where’s father’s newest work?” She asks, a bit excitedly.
“I am sorry. I am forbidden to talk about Doctor Monetegry’s newest machine.” Still answering in its robotic tone.
A bit disappointed at the news, she lets out a pout before exploring her eyes around the lab. If the AI won’t tell her, then she’ll find it herself.
Knowing the AI would cause a ruckus, she went to its power switch to immediately turn it off. It’s better to be safe than sorry. The chances of it contacting her father as she rummages through his lab are high. The Goddamn AI is a loyal brute.
Walking around as her eyes are begun to spark in astonishment, she tried her best not to touch them. Who knows what kind of machine it was and what it would do to her.
Stopping as she saw her own reflection, she noticed how her hair was a bit disheveled, loose ends were falling slightly on her cheeks which is why she tucked them behind her ear. With a little bit of finger brushes to untangle some strands, she noticed a knot on top of her hair. Ducking in more on the mirror to see her crown, her mouth gaped at how a part of her hair were tied in a french braid, the two braided strands had loose curly ends. Since when did she had curly hair?
Just then, she noticed how her features become distinct. Was it because of the sunlight—wait? Sunlight?
Frantically looking up, She saw the sun was out, seemingly like it was already twelve noon. It was hot and out yet, it wasn’t damaging her skin unlike yesterday’s late-morning jog.
Feeling her heart pounding, she looked to where she was looking before—where she was looking at her reflection. The mirror now became a lake. Mossy ashen boulders surrounded a small portion of her side. The fallen, decaying leaves from the unclothed and withering trees above and spongy mosses sprouting around her clothed feet.
Her feet! Long gone was her pink bunny slippers! And her pajamas! Her silk pink pajamas! How did she changed into a ballgown?!
“Oh my God!” She cried, “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God,” Chanted. “Oh my God?!” As she stood up from her crouching position, looking down on her clothes, her gown’s end following the direction of each twirl she does.
From her peripheral vision, she noticed a man approaching her. Stopping her twirling movements, she posed into a defensive stance, afraid of the stranger that is now approaching her.
“Lady Silvania! Lady Silvania! Is everything alright?!” He frantically asks, looking around for any suspicious activities happening that caused his Lady to continuously scream.
Blinking profusely at the strange man in white tousled blouse with black tights and boots as he readied to slash his sword to invaders. “How did you know my family name?” Bewildered at the fact that the strange man knew her family name. His father may be well known, but she wasn’t!
“Pardon me, Mi Lady Silvania?” the man confusedly asks back. “Stalker!” She screams, again.
With widened eyes, “Mi Lady! I am an honorable knight of the royal family! I do not dare to stalk behind your back Mi Lady!” He defensively says, “Forgive me if I have made Mi Lady Silvania uncomfortable throughout the day, but I have been tasked to guard you as you take a stroll outside the kingdom.” Head bowing as he continued his words.
Mi Lady. Knight. Royal family. Kingdom?! “Oh my God!” She yelps, surprising the knight in front of her, “Where am I? How did I end up here?! I was at home a minute ago! And it was past Nine, if I remember correctly!” She was hysterical, nipping her nails as she paced back-and-forth.
“Oh no, are you perhaps sick Mi Lady? It is only an hour past Nine, I believe. Yes Mi Lady, you were at home earlier but you asked the royal highnesses to stroll around. You are outside the Royal Kingdom of Monde, Mi Lady.” The knight calmly explained. Worry painted his face as he watched his Lady Silvania pace in a oscillatory motion.
Was that the time machine? God, father should’ve placed a curtain or label! At least something! He knows I’m a curious brat! she thought to herself.
Stopping from her tracks—which made the knight sigh in relief—she quickly turned her head to him and ask, “tell me, no—brief me. Brief me about this kingdom.”
The knight wore a nervous look, “Mi Lady Silvania, I think we should head back to the kingdom.” Anxious about his Lady Silvania’s weird behavior.

prologue | masterlist | two
Yoon Jeonghan was a person whom you can't forget. You let yourself relish his new appearance. Long gone was the long slick hair he sported back in college. His short haircut with his bang fringes poking his eyes made him look somewhat younger. His cheeks are more defined than you can remember, and his bright doe eyes that were healthy before now have bags underneath, finally noticing the mole you adorned long ago.
It seems that he did the same, as his lips narrowed open, shock still painted on his face as his eyes traveled around your face. The only thing that woke you two up from your daydream was, "Dada!" Two of the kids ran towards Jeonghan to hug him by his legs.
Stumbling a bit from the impact, his eyes lingered a bit longer from you before turning his attention to the two children, crouching down to hug them and mumble a few words.
Blinking a few more times, let it sink in that the two children that ran towards you and your dog were, Jeonghan's children. A small smile formed on your lips, "You're a dad now, huh?" You softly said, still wearing the small smile as you locked eyes with him again.
"They're twins, Yuna and Yejun. They're turning four this year." He replies, standing up again whilst holding both on his sides. Your eyes then drifted to the two, taking a closer look. Knowing that these were his children, you were suddenly intrigued to see who they took after.
You were guessing that you were staring at the twins a bit longer than you intended as you heard Jeonghan introduce you as one of their aunts. "Hi! You guys still want to touch her?" Pointing to your dog, piquing their attention again. You saw both of them look up to Jeonghan, asking for permission before running towards your crouching figure to pet your dog, Manju.
You still held your dog by its snout, letting the children pet his body. "Is that..?" You could tone of hesitance in his voice. Without meeting his eyes, "It's her daughter, she passed a year ago." Whilst shaking your head, quickly patting Manju's head making it lean to your hand, wanting more.
"Oh," You watched the two children giggling to themselves as they kept on patting your dog's body which Manju enjoys, noticing the rapid wag of her tail with each stroke that the twins make.
"She looks just like her," Jeonghan mumbles, making you slightly jolt from your position as you didn't notice him crouching down next to you to pat Manju's head.
"She acts like her too. Not that much of a people pleaser dog." You joked, hearing him chuckle again after how many years. "Then I guess Michi must've told her about me then." He softly says, making you look at him.
Michi, - your current dog, Manju's, mother - you and Jeonghan's lovebug. Just the mention of your passed dod makes your heart swell and Jeonahan's presence makes it a lot worse. You felt tears building up in your eyes, causing you to break free from Jeonghan's eyes.
You still weren't over grieving from the loss of your best friend. She was the only one who stayed with you from that dreadful college years up to your med school. She stayed longer than anyone could have, and that's why you weren't done grieving even if she was already gone for a year. "Dada," One called, capturing both of your attention.
It's somehow sweet that someone you knew is now being called like that. So sweet and soft, enough to you feel blue. How would it feel to be called by your child? You thought.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, I have to go. I still have some stuff to unpack. We just moved here in the city." Is Jeonghan effortlessly picking up both his kids, "Moved? Here?" You asked, quite shocked at the news. As far as you remember, he moved to a larger city to pursue law. Was he retired?
"Yeah," Sporting a smile that you remembered like the back of your hand, "See you around?" He adds, walking away from you.
You suddenly felt a wave of emotions rushing through your body. You didn't even have the chance to bid him goodbye as you were too busy relishing the smile he wore before he walked away.
It must be the nostalgia, making you feel emotions you thought were long gone. Seeing him again after a few years, with his own little family made you happy. Finally seeing him smile again after you broke his heart when you walked away from him that night.
“I’m telling you Seungcheol, I didn’t know she lived here!” Jeonghan dramatically says through the phone as he folded their clean clothes to store it in their closet.
“I’m not even saying anything! It’s you who’s overreacting, not me!” Rolling his eyes, “Oh you fucker, don’t get me started with your scoffs and stifled laughs!” Sighing, Jeonghan was left hopeless upon hearing his friend’s laughter echo through the room.
“Can you shut the fuck up? My children are asleep.” Jeonghan had his lips curved into an annoyed smirk, “I can see you glaring from here ya’ know?”
“On the brighter side, isn’t it nice to have a familiar face in an unfamiliar environment? Plus, you could ask Y/N to babysit the twins on October,” Seungcheol finally calmed down, giving Jeonghan a few grounded words.
“I think you don’t get the whole concept of ‘let’s not see each other again’ here, Choi Seungcheol.” He could hear his friend groaning on the full name, “Dumbass! She meant it to be - not being in a relationship! Not - literally not! Seeing! Each other! So much for topping the boards,” Jeonghan heard the last part but paid no attention. He knows that too. That you didn’t mean it to literally not see each other’s face. But at that time, he had no face to meet you even if you were the one who called it off. Too hurt to even see you from afar. Too bruised to even hear from you.
“I also don’t think were in a relationship where I can just ask her to babysit my twins because unfortunately, my first day of work is on my birthday!” Jeonghan can imagine Seungcheol shaking his head at him. “I also don’t have her number.” There was a long stretch of silence before he could hear Seungcheol’s sigh.
“Y/N, she didn’t changed her number. I’m sure you still have it.” Having his breath hitched, he stopped functioning for a while, “Don’t be such a sussy Han, it’s all in the past. Besides, you got married. All your unresolved feelings for Y/N should either be gone or just waiting to be answered.”
“Yeah. I guess so.”
Sweat running down your forehead as you reached your kitchen’s counter top, almost flopping yourself just to reach the fridge. Not even minding to get a glass to pour water on. You don’t know why embarrassment is only hitting you now. How embarrassing on acting so casual with someone you left in the dark, as if you didn’t leave him hanging during your third year on college.
Wiping your lips that had excess water dripping down to your chin, you had your gaze hardened on the wall. How can he possibly talk to you when he avoided you at all cost after the breakup? Even hearing from his friends that he would always change the topic when it somehow swerved to you.
Just then, you heard your phone ding, immediately checking just in case it was a text from the hospital.
Heaving a sigh, you quickly typed in ‘otw’, scurrying away to your room to fix yourself before going back to the hospital.
“Doc, we’ve already calmed him down. His vitals are slowly coming back to normal.” The nurse informed you as you briskly walked towards the said patient’s warden. You just nodded in acknowledgment, slowly forgetting the incident earlier.
Being an general doctor was a pain, especially if most of your current patients are alcoholic. No matter how many nags and warnings you told them, they just don’t listen. Now, one of your patients who recently received a liver from his daughter went on a drinking spree. Now that his his newly transplanted liver almost gave up, you can feel stress working up its way to your head - almost giving you migraine like headaches just by the thoughtless behavior the old man lying on the bed portrayed.
The door swings open, gaining your attention, you then saw the wife and their daughter and you can’t help but feel bad for them. They just paid hundred thousands just to pay the hospital bills from the surgery and now, their patriarch had a surge of major side effects from the alcohol content he consumed.
“He consumed too much alcohol, that the liver almost gave up since it was still adjusting with his body. Good thing he was brought here immediately. He’s already stable. He needs to be monitored for a span of two weeks at least, just to make sure his liver won’t act out again.” You explained sternly to the family who only nodded and kept thanking you for saving the man again.
Heaving a big sigh as you closed the door to the room, you held your head, trying to rub the pain out. “Did you even sleep?” A familiar voice chirped beside you, “What do you think?” You said sarcastically before making your way to the headquarters.
“Judging by the way you tried to rub your temples and your mean attitude, you didn’t even sleep a wink with your uhm,” You could hear him counting in a small voice, “Three hours free time.” Halting, you quickly turned to him, making his squinted eyes go round.
“Did you know Jeonghan had kids?” You genuinely asks. The latter furrowed his brows, searching any other reaction from you. “Yeah..” Still trying to see if you’d react in any way other than relief washing down your face.
“Glad he found someone that’ll take care of him.” You said with a smile. You were about to turn when you halted from his words, “You.. Did you not know?” Confusion then etched both your faces.
“Know what, Hoshi?” He pursed his lips, contemplating whether to tell you or not, “What ‘cha guys doin’?” Dino’s voice erupted from your back. Dino noticed Hoshi’s panicking gaze but you didn’t remove your eyes on the latter.
You felt Dino’s presence beside you but you paid no attention to him, “Hoshi, what is it?” You asked again, more curious and fraught on his answer.
“What is what?” Dino joined causing you to whip his head to him. “What do you know about Jeonghan?” You asked him, catching him off-guard.
“I just know he moved here in the city, and he’s planning to start working here on October.” Furrowing your brows more, “What’s this about? Why’re you suddenly asking things about him?” You were too lost in your thoughts to answer him.
Didn’t he want to pursue law? Why would he work here at the hospital? Or will he work here as a legal guidance? Legal advisor? Didn’t he go to larger city so he could expand his connections?
Dino was now frowning at you, looking towards Hoshi with a questioning look. The latter shrugged and shook his head, also unaware of her sudden interest towards Jeonghan.
You raised you head again, now looking to Dino who had his one brow raised, already knowing what you’re going to ask, “You didn’t asked. And we thought you wouldn’t like to hear any news from him. Be it good or bad.”
“Yeah. Totally learned my lesson that one time.” Hoshi added. You frowned at your two friends - who was unfortunately, friends with Jeonghan also.
You and Jeonghan weren’t in the same circle before, it just happened that your friends and his friends clicked that much for it to become one. You still were in contact with some of his friends, but you took courtesy of not asking things about him and they respected that by not sharing anything too, without you asking.
“I met him earlier at the park. Also met his twins. He casually talked to me, and it made me feel anxious. He wasn’t like that when I last heard from him, wasn’t he angry anymore?” You ranted, lying on the bed as you munched your caramelized popcorn.
“Maybe? It’s been like what? Seven years? It must’ve dried out during those past years.” Closing his book before turning to face your lying body on the bunk bed. “Besides Y/N, why are you so worried about him working here? Do you not want him to be here that much?”
“No, its not that. It’s just, Wonwoo, I inflicted pain, he should be angry!” You kept refuting the same thing over and over again.
“Y/N, if there’s anything that he’ll feel about you, anger is far from it. He’s healed from the pain, he learned and he moved on. I’m sure his wife took care of him well. Isn’t that what you want? Someone to take good care of him?” You halted from Wonwoo’s words. You couldn’t help but look at the bed above you, letting out a smile as you imagined Jeonghan being taken care of well.
As soon as you felt tears suddenly welling up on your eyes, you did your best to refrain them from pouring out. “Yeah, I did.” It was so soft, Wonwoo would’ve missed it if there was other noises aside from the aircon’s ringing. “Did you attend his wedding?” You asked, with a softer voice.
Wonwoo was taken aback by the sudden change of demeanor, “..No, I couldn’t. It was during our OB-residency.” He could see you quietly nod and the red tip of your nose. He could sense immense emotions from you, but he kept quiet about it. He knows its something you don’t ever want to talk about. Most likely, you will never talk about it to them, finally knowing Jeonghan had marry already.

prologue | masterlist | one
Setting down the last batch of boxes, Jeonghan huffs a sigh of relief before watching his twins run around their new home. After three years, he finally had the guts to leave behind his work and old town that was filled with memories of her. His deceased wife. If it weren't for the twins, he wouldn't know how he'd survive those years. He loved her enough to grieve such a long time.
“Alright, who wants McDonald's?” He enthusiastically asked, erupting a squeal as they run towards their dad to cling on his legs, looking at him with their cheeky smiles.
Letting his children indulge in their food keeping them occupied with his phone playing some cartoons, he took the time to scroll through his tablet to see any emails from his patients and from the hospital that he recently applied with.
Clicking on one recent email, he checked to see if it was regarding of when he can start opening his clinic. “Fourth of October huh?” Smiling disappointedly before moving his eyes to his giggling daughter who had left her food unfinished. “Sweetie, no leftovers,” He softly says, “Dada!” Feeding her a couple of times, cooing her as she kept calling him every time he nears the food to her mouth.
“Dada?” His son then called, causing him hum and raise both his brows, before moving his gaze to his son, “Dada,” Reaching to his dad as he gestured grabbing hands, wanting to be lift by him.
Looks like cartoons aren't helping anymore. Immediately carrying his son to settle on his lap, he continued to feed his daughter who was fortunately two mouthfuls away from finishing.
You were having an afternoon walk with your dog after finishing a 12 hours shift. You were far from sleepy, reason to why you have opted to walk, just to tire yourself up.
“Am I that un-active?” Flabbergasted at how tired you are considering you just walked two blocks away from your home. You hear your dog barking for your attention, “No, I think I've had enough Manju, no more walks.” You tirelessly say to your dog, as if they could understand you. Seeing a nearby bench, you opted to sit and take a rest before going home.
“Should we just take the bus home?” You cooed your dog, letting out a bark as response. Giving your dog a pat on the head, you leaned back on the bench, letting your dog wonder off to the grass beside the bench.
You had your eyes closed when you heard giggles nearing you. Considering that your dog sometimes act out, you were afraid that the giggles you heard were children that may or may not be fond of dogs.
Jolting up from your seat, you watched to toddlers running towards your dog that had its back on them, with worried eyes, “Please don't touch her,” You said, softly enough not to scare the kids.
They seem too young to understand such words, but they halted and turned their heads to you. Wearing cheeky grins, now running to you instead of the dog.
Flustered at how they caged themselves in between your knees, as if using it shield against your dog, you brushed one of the two's head, “Who are you guys with?” Smiling at them warmly catching their attention that was on the dog earlier.
You watch her tilt her head cutely, making break in to a chuckle. Resting your hands on her head, you looked up trying to search for people who were looking frantic.
A bark erupted from you side, making you whip your head to your dog who was wagging her tail as it approached you. “Manju,” You warningly said, but the dog took no mind and continued to near you, causing you to pick both of the children up, settling them on the bench. Switching positions with the two children, you held your dog in your hands, weighing it's temperament.
“Do you want to touch?” You asked as you safely hold your dog's snout.
“Yuna! Yejun!” A frantic yell was heard behind, you were about to turn and apologize, not wanting to stir a misunderstanding but he beat you to it, “Thank God you found them, apologies. I hope they didn't bother you too much.” You could hear his quiet pants, probably from running around. “It's okay—” Finally taking notice of the man in front of you.
Shock filling you both as you locked eyes with him. A man from your grueling past that was bearable a long as you're with him. A man you loved so dearly. A man named Yoon Jeonghan.

notes: just wanted to write a cliffhanger angst 😮‍💨 i’ve been having so much in my plate that i couldn’t even write updates for my twt aus AGAIN 😓😓
You knew Seungcheol as a friend of a friend. Meeting in the porch during a small get-together party by a friend, he was drinking by himself there. You thought of going inside again, opening the door that soon creaked a sound causing the man to abruptly look at you.
Smiling rawly at him, quickly apologizing as you swing the door open, throwing yourself inside.
Then, every party you go, you see him. With long stealing glances and a few kind smiles, you came to familiarize yourself with the man.
You noticed he always wore polo shirts with tight jeans, a dangling silver necklace that complimented his silver watch. His hair that was always slicked back with a few strands covering his forehead. He wore the brightest smile, flashing his gums that triggered his dimples, sipping from his cup as he mingled with people. And as he laid his eyes on you again, both of you had a hard time looking away.
He was the first to approach you, telling you how he’s seen you in the past few weeks in a row. Somehow, both of you ended up being in the same table, sharing drinks and stories as the night passed by.
Its the seventh party tonight and you’ve opted on ditching your friend who was going. You’ve had enough of the alcohol intake and you could feel your social battery is drained.
Instead, you went outside for a walk. Wearing your soft oversized hoodie and a pair or sweats. As you settled down in a convenience store to eat dinner, you began to notice a familiar figure in your peripheral vision.
A familiar figure yet, in a change of setting, became so foreign. It was like seeing your favorite character in a movie in real-life.
The man who you’ve known in parties that always wore polo shirts and tight jeans with chain silver necklaces matching it with a silver watch, was wearing something similar to yours. A white shirt and grey sweats with his parted hair falling down on his eyes. Oh, and he was wearing glasses.
You noticed the beer on his side as he noticed your stare. He too, looked awfully surprised to see you somewhere new. Like the first time, he approached you first. Greeting you kindly, gradually turning the small interaction into big ones.
Days, weeks, months have passed since you two saw each other at the convenience store, you two came from acquaintances to friends. He was someone who you quickly got comfortable with, reason why you were teasing him being late.
“Traffic was that bad, okay?” He reasons out, resting his bag on the table before making his way to the counter. The two of you had something in common, both of you had the same course in the same year and although going to different universities, you didn’t mind sharing knowledges on the course.
The two of you agreed when planning out on a study, the who’s later to arrive will pay for the food. It was your idea, making you excited for those study sessions with Seungcheol. Mainly because you know you wouldn’t pay as you’d arrive early as possible.
Switching their notebooks, they begun to run through what was written and try to comprehend them for a mini quiz later. As you turn to the next page, you cut your fingers with the paper, wincing out the pain that immediately caught Seungcheol’s attention. “Here,” Reaching out a disinfectant and bandaid. Mumbling a thank you to him, “I usually get paper cuts on my fingers too.” He shares, trying to share the pain you have right now.
“I’m starting to think you purposely arrive late so you’d be the one paying our food.” You joked. You hear his familiar chuckles, and even without looking, you could see his dimples alongside his gums, “What I think is that you come here extra early so that you wouldn’t pay for our food,” Grinning at him, “You caught me!” Scrunching your nose at him, sharing giggles at the table.
“You’re going tonight?” He asks, “Yeah, Joshua’s been bugging me lately to come with him again.” The mention of Joshua made the man beside you chortle, “Well, you’ve been missing out on the fun for a while now,” He said in a low manner causing you to look at him,“Really? I’ve been really busy with University. Couldn’t find the time to have fun, unlike someone here.” Jokingly rolling your eyes at him as he eyes you amusingly.
“I wasn’t there to have fun though,” He mumbled. It wasn’t clearly for you to hear to why you didn’t asked him.
Everyone was having a good time playing cards, it was now your turn to pick and unfortunately, you picked the shot card. “I’ll drink it,” Seungcheol said, eyes looking at you. He probably noticed your worried eyes and tired posture. Not long after, he was beside you, clinging to your side as if you’ll wither away if he’s too far from you.
They were planning on letting you stay for the night but Seungcheol offered to take you home. Joshua was supposed to take you home, but the poor man was too drunk to even stand up from his seat. Due to his alcohol intake, he opted to book a taxi rather than to take the risk of driving in influence.
He was walking you to the door, all sobered up from the alcohol intake. Unlike you who walked with two left feet, probably wobbling around if he didn’t hold you by the arm.
“You can walk inside safely, right?” He asks in a slow voice. You just nodded in response. You could hear him sigh but you were too drunk to even care.
He opened the door for you and watched you walk inside. As soon as he sees you laying on the couch, he lets out a sigh of relief before closing your door, not forgetting to lock it.
A few days have passed and you’re still embarrassed to meet him. He’s been bugging you through texts, demanding you to meet him already. But you could swear to God every ounce of your dignity had been drained ever since Seungcheol insistently walked you home that night. You could remember how you almost scared the shit out of him as you told him you felt like puking during the car ride home.
And as much as you tried to avoid his texts and few calls, you know you couldn’t avoid him when he’s outside your block. You don’t even know how the hell did he even got inside the University, but what you know is you missed him.
Who’d knew in a short span of time, you’d grow attach to a man whom you only meet during weekends (which is not consistent) and at night parties that your friend drags you with consistently.
You knew, the grin he gave you was the end of it all. It dawned to you. Just a few days of not meeting him, you knew that those dimples and gummy smiles he wore was something you want to behold at every surprising events.
“Don’t be shy! It’s just me!” He exclaims, grinning at you. Before you get lost at his smiling face, you looked away from him, continued eating quietly.
You could see him pout at you before picking up his food and watched you eat.
He’s outside your block again, but instead of the smiling one you always see, he was glaring at you - well not you, but at the guy beside you. But when his eyes landed at you, the brows that were furrowed now relaxed and the subtle frown on the corner of his lips begun to rise. You now begin to wonder, was he jealous?
“Who was that?” He asks, grumpiness hiding within his teasing eyes and flashy grin. You could only shake your head and smile, “He’s Wonwoo, he was just asking some stuff since he skipped school the other day.” You noticed him nodding his head, the grin widening even more.
That’s more like it, the dimples and his cheeky grins.
But all things come to an end, a laughter rang inside the café. One that you could recognize anywhere. As soon as your eyes landed on him, you saw he was accompanied by someone. A pretty girl in a summer dress, hair flowing down as it swayed gracefully with the wind that the air conditioner was blowing.
“Are you and Seungcheol… Okay..?” Wonwoo cautiously asks. He too, noticed Seungcheol as he followed your searching gaze earlier.
Snapping your head to Wonwoo, “Huh? Why wouldn’t we?” Chuckling as you tried to hide the uneasiness you feel inside. You see him frown, looking straight into your eyes as if he was trying to read what was on your mind.
You looked away from him, giving attention the the pastry in front of you. “But aren’t you two… A thing..?” He to was questioning himself, staring down at you as he waited for your response. But it was hard to look at him in the eye. He can read you like a book, no doubt. And there is no way, you will ever tell a soul - moreover, to a guy you just met a few days ago - about your growing feelings towards Seungcheol.
Chuckling at him, “What? We are not a thing. Definitely not. Just, friends.” He can tone that you were upset. He definitely was piecing it together already. “You don’t have to hide it from me, let it out,” He was more softer compared earlier. Long gone was the intimidating look of his.
He was searching for your eyes, and when he caught it, “So, about the previous lectures, here are some of my notes—”
“Everybody knows about you two. You don’t have to lie, both of you just don’t want to admit anything.” You stopped from your tracks, both of us? Its funny, because as far as you know, its only you who obviously had caught feelings. Seeing how Seungcheol is with another girl today made you think that he just may treat his friends that way.
“There’s nothing to admit, Wonwoo. Really. We aren’t a thing. We aren’t dating nor together.” You were chuckling in between, but Wonwoo squinted his eyes on you before pursing his lips together as he lowered his gaze on your notes that he asked you.
“Hey,” A voice behind you called and just from his voice, you know its Seungcheol. You were done with packing your stuff when you turned to him, “Hey! Fancy seeing you here?” You tried to sound friendly, but it ended up sounding forced. You could swear to God you just heard Wonwoo scoffed at you. You wanted to kick the latter but with Seungcheol eyeing you amusingly, you found it hard to turn your back on him.
“Yeah, was on a blind fate a minute ago.” The way he sounded was too excited. You tried to match his energy, but you just felt drained trying. Wonwoo must’ve noticed the change in your demeanor so he took initiative for answering, “Nice. We just finished having a study session, right?” nudging your side, causing you to quickly smile and nod.
His eyes turned serious all of a sudden. Did having a new study buddy bothered him? Why?
True enough, it might’ve bothered him that you have a new study buddy to why every time you have something to talk about with Wonwoo, Seungcheol just finds out and piques your interests, totally forgetting about the things you were about to consult with Wonwoo - who was currently your partner on a paper.
“You’re going tonight, right?” You did promise Joshua and him that’ll you’ll go tonight, “No. I’m busy.” You wanted to tease him and you though it worked. The pout he wore soon turned into a frown, “You’re going with Wonwoo again, aren’t you?” Wyes throwing daggers as if you have just betrayed your own country.
“I was just joking!”
Alcohol then again filled your body. Everyone was getting loud, the games were in chaos. Everyone was laughing at the most ridiculous and smallest things. You don’t even know how it transcended from Hoshi’s whimsical dance showdown with Dino to a game of spin the bottle.
“Okay! Truth or dare!” Smirking, “Truth, of course.”Hisses from friends and boos were heard. You could only laugh at them while he looked at you in silent.
“Take the risk or lose the chance?” Joshua, who asked the question, earned a few punches and groans. The question wasn’t even that entertaining nor spicy, heck - it was even a basic question.
Your eyes wondered off to Seungcheol’s direction, you could see he was a bit surprised. Considering how his eyes widened a small fraction when he locked eyes with you. You don’t even know how you were looking at him, but he looked like he was expecting your answer.
But you didn’t answer. You looked away from him and smiled menacingly at everyone as you drank from the shot glass.
It was finally Seungcheol’s turn to spin the bottle, he looked confused at first to why everyone was laughing but soon understand why.
“Finally! Finally! Shut the fuck up! I’ll ask! I’ll Ask!”Dino enthusiastically yelled as he pointed to himself.
“Tell us the truth! Are you the twocof you dating?!”You gulped as eyes were on you and Seungcheol expectantly. His leaning arms behind you that had a small distance between your back and his arms were now rested on his lap.
“Doofus! Ask him first if it’s truth or dare!” Joshua claims, eyes looking at you with a bit of worry.
“Ah! Right. Sorry. Cheol, truth or dare?” Laughing nervously, he answered dare. Series of groans were heard from the circle but Dino was the only one laughing.
With a sly smile, “I dare you, to tell the truth.” With panic starting to fill his eyes, Seungcheol looked like he was about to raise hell, “No repeating of previous question!” Saved again by Joshua.
As Seungcheol breathe a sigh of relief, Dino didn’t even considered pausing from dropping the bomb, “Do you Cheol, consider her as more than just a friend?” Expecting eyes were on you and Seungcheol again, but one gaze pierced through your soul.
You laughed, trying to let out the uneasiness inside of you as you locked eyes with Seungcheol. “Best friends?” He said.
Disappointed sighs and groans were their reaction towards his answer, but his lingering gaze stayed on you yet you didn’t bat an eye on him again.
Even with alcohol, both of you still can’t seem to find the courage to take a risk. And they say, drunk people gets easily swayed huh?
—But even if I don’t take the risk, I already have my heart shattered. I want to choose losing the chance as I know— I know that it’d be regret that will be filling up my heart. But why is that, I can feel it shattering just by looking at the eyes of the man beside me. Full of longing and desire. Friends don’t look at each other like that, moreover, friends don’t make you feel like this; aching for more. Wanting to be more.
Even bandaids, are no good for heartaches.
