It's probably easiest to get to know me if I start by explaining who I want to spend my time with. This first paragraph is important... I look for people who know how to effectively communicate, compromise, have integrity, and practice common sense. Well rounded friends who are adventurous, as well as laid back; those who care about others and not just themselves. I appreciate people who have goals and plan for their future; motivated individuals who take calculated risks. Please don't dwell on the past; learn from it and make the most of the present. I don't have time in my life for those who are argumentative, don't have their priorities straight, or flake on plans. A couple of my good friends are states away, so distance is not detrimental. I like moderation, not excess...unless it's money...then excess is GREAT! However, there are times to just let loose and go overboard. Respect is key. I like meeting patient people willing to teach me something, who are genuine, and really care about what I have to say; not just passively listen because they're distracted with something else. People willing to give advice and sometimes just leave it at that. Most people who spend time with me find I'm mature, but young at heart. I'm open-minded and willing to try anything once; if I like it I may try it twice. :-) I grew up in Iowa, then lived in Minneapolis for a couple years, and Denver for a couple more. In 2007 I moved to Seattle; where I met the most incredible man in the world, my husband. We have three kids; two dogs and a cat. I expect God's master plan is not done with moving me around, which is fine because I want to see the world. Speaking of God, I was born Catholic but have not practiced any religion for over a decade. I do however believe there is a greater being and find myself praying on a regular basis.
