Hi! I was wondering if you knew any stores which sell hanfu in natural fabrics, as well as support independent businesses? I’d like to buy a set and some accessories but the places that I have found are mostly on wish and amazon and I’d rather not buy from unethical business.

There are a lots on Taobao, where most hanfu shops are - I am not sure what is your budget, what style you are looking for, or how long you are willing to wait for the production. Do you do silk? Or cotton only? 

@ziseviolet has a masterlist on buying hanfu, but that list of brand is definitely not conclusive. We both tagged our shops in our post or at least leave the name of the shop in the description. If you see something you like you could check out the store (although most of the time that particular sets would be sold out).

ok im gay it’s 2 pm so i’m thinking about chainsaw man gun devil (spoilers below etc etc )

aside from the cool ass design and everything. gun devils whole , his whole massacre thing and the way fujimoto does the whole name lists thing?? holy shit?? i saw the names and didn’t realize what he was doing until i looked a little closer and it elicited a genuine, visceral sort of numb feeling.

the feeling of feeling like you are obligated in some sense to honor those that have died by reading every name and holding them dear to you so they mean anything close to what they did as living people but also simultaneously the guilt of not being able to see them as whole living people and only as names on an endless list?? the irony of a bloody splatterfest shounen that has a revolving door of characters because all of them die bloody gruesome, and utterly insignificant deaths paint such a grim picture of the sheer SCALE of the violent that the gun devil (and by metaphorical proxy, gun violence) enacts on people. and the way that there is a literal sense of desensitization as you skim past the names just trying to get to the next page of plot, and in doing so you as the reader are both willingly and unwillingly taking part in the group of people who see these deaths so much in their daily life that they cannot actually process the amount of death that is happening, so they ignore it, despiting gnawing shame and guilt for not being able to mourn.
