When he was 9, Felix Finkbeiner started “Plant for the Planet”, an organization that trains youth around the world to plant trees to combat climate change. By the time Felix was 12 his organization had planted its millionth tree.

Felix is now 20 years old and is heading the UN’s Billion Tree Campaign, which Felix changed to the Trillion Tree Campaign. Their goal is to restore, save from loss, or better protect one trillion trees in the next 30 years.

About 3 trillion trees exist on earth currently. So this is a big thing he’s trying to accomplish.

“Children could plant 1 million trees in every country on earth and offset CO2 emissions all on their own, while adults are still talking about doing it. Stop talking, start planting.”

You can “donate trees” (pay the cost of planting a tree) to help with the project here.
