Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it's randomized to help as many people as possible.

There's also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it's a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he's asked.

It must be so sad to wake up every morning, singing songs that are fake for a love that doesn’t exist. I think the industry should not have a say in how you include your sexuality in your lyrics, or how to talk about love in songs. I get that there are artists who might have felt pressured - Here I’m an example and I think everyone at first is obviously scared. I imagined in a thousand different ways the reactions or what could have happened, but it’s been the most beautiful thing ever. The easiest thing and just as it should be I think

‘Mis Tias’ is my new single. I’m very proud of the result, including a bit of folklore of traditional jota and talking about an experience that really strikes a chord in me. The jota, while it’s very rich musically speaking, the truth is there are lyrics that are not very updated, so there needs to be some work done there of modifying and updating and placing them in the context of the 21st century. 

I’m making many songs right now and many of them have folkloric touches and they talk about my personal stories, particularly my story with Martin, for example which is a LGBTQ+ story that we lived openly and we’ve been lucky enough to be examples of. 

Yesterday, while having dinner, we were talking about how we’re still not aware of how important it was to show such a natural relationship. There are children - very little children, that have seen on TV on a publicly available program, a relationship like this one and they are going to grow up knowing that this exists. I think that is very important and it makes me very happy thinking about how little children come up to us saying, “we’ll go to your wedding” or whatever and it really makes you emotional.

I think the speech at pride was a moment that was not easy. Going up there to speak out about such an important topic - And in my case it was also hard because I became a reference while not being confident and not being comfortable in the spot I was in. 

It was my first pride and at first I really considered going up there. I mean, I wasn’t prepared and I said it to my psychologist because I was actually scared, but then I saw how important it was and the Importance of the message that I personally could give. I think it’s never too late or too soon. I mean, one needs to just be free. It’s okay if right now you don’t know what you like, who you are or what you feel, but be at ease, the moment will come and there’s no hurry, it’s okay and here I am, standing on a stage. Very recently I was one thing, today I’m something else, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. I’m simply in love and that’s it. And we have to be free and be at ease, because maybe you haven’t found your people yet, people who support and understand you or who help you to take that step, but they’re somewhere and they will come.

Hahaha i don’t think that’s how it works. Also plenty of people talk about them, just not on tumblr 😁 (unfortunately that’s all I’m using lol)… but genuinely, I pity the ones not following their journey, bc they give us EVERYTHING. It’s the most wholesome.

I think this song has been the first with this new folkloric mood, and it turned out really good. It will be part of the album or as a single, before the album, but it will be there for sure.
