Great Mazinga ( or Mazinger Z ) was called Tranzor Z in the US, I watched it growing up and revisited it lately. It was dubbed poorly and evidently they did even bother to translate the entire series, just enough so it could be sold into TV syndication. So even when our children's shows weren't just commercials, they were made by people that only cared about turning a profit, not about the show or its viewers.

Growing up in the 80's, when you would stay home sick from school, you would get a little lesson on the history of television by watching the re-runs. Here are a few of the things I learned.
