Geofest 2025!!

(this doesn't even cover all the beautiful crystals, fossils, preservations, jewelry, etc. I found while walking around lol)

This was a super fun festival! I got to walk around and look at all the different types of crystals and geodes, I saw so many with names I had never seen before in my little hometown crystal shop lol. I'll have to go again next year when I'm not crazy broke & find some more beautes.

there is no particular theme to this, just a bunch of photos I found organizing my camera card hehe >:)

FINALLY had the motivation to organize some photos and post them. oh and happy 2025 lol. I might start writing little poems or sayings I find inspirational or so bc I've been in a writing mood recently. Also why is the spring semester harder than the fall? Everything is so bland and just overwhelming at the same time, it's also going by really quick, it makes no sense. All I know is I'm just excited to wear shorts and a t-shirt again and to never see a Canvas notification (until fall semester starts back up again lollll :,))

Something you don’t realize as a photographer that uses it for a hobby is when you don’t have a camera in reach, there’s an inescapable itch to take photos of things and wishing you had your camera. I went on a 2 hour walk the other day and took 3 photos with my phone, wishing I kept my camera with me bc I left it back at home to focus on finals week. The amount of times I thought to myself “if ONLY I had my camera or my back up or my backup backup” bc the phone camera does NOT do mother nature her justice.

fall + rain = true happiness (at least for me haha)

I was terrified to get my camera wet but hey, it still works so that means something?? (Honestly was more concerned about the lenses rather than the camera itself but my tiny little umbrella held up strong). I got so many cool pics of the area but those have location identifying factors so only I (and friends/family) get to appreciate its beauty I suppose.

when you play 3rd person games (i.e. splatoon, animal crossing, roblox, etc.) with character customization, do you picture the character as yourself, a game version of yourself, or a character you dress up and play as?

there is no like definite answer, i just wanted to know what other people thought because I was conversating with my bf about how my acnh character is more like an in-game version of myself but also is her own character. when it rains i give her an umbrella and when it's winter i dress her up accordingly so she doesn't "freeze".

ultimate DREAM happened yesterday where I finally got shots of a monarch butterfly. I was like the dad from the movie Epic as soon as I saw these little guys. I love monarchs so much and they hold such a great importance to me and my childhood so finally being able to capture photos of them was just so great. I was literally standing where they were for like 40 minutes because I was just nonstop getting shots of them lol.
