Keith who pulls date's chairs out before sitting down, opens car doors, and holds his hand out when they're walking down stairs. Keith who can lead in a killer western-style two step. Keith who seldom uses pet names, but when he does they're classy, like "darlin'" or "sweetheart" or "sugar." Keith who's accent comes out when he's angry or drunk. their reasoning being that "we couldn't ban it even if we wanted to, every writer already uses it anyway"

For a long moment, neither of them moved. The tension between them was nearly unbearable; thin as thread, but pulled so tight it might snap. Lance leaned in closer, his minty breath warm on Keith’s face.

Then—then, Lance reached out with a trembling hand. He brushed a soft strand of raven hair back behind his ear, his thumb grazing his cheek lightly. He offered a smile, fingertips lingering at his jaw.

The space between them started to close, and all he could think about was that he had wanted to kiss Lance for as long as he could remember.

He closed the remaining space at last, brushing his lips tentatively against Lance’s, gentle and questioning. Lance responded by threading his hand through Keith’s hair. He was opening up, letting Keith in—in more ways than one.

Keith pulled back, his heartbeat racing. He studied Lance’s face, his half-lidded eyes, his soft pink lips, that etched jawline.

Restraint be damned.

He dove back in greedily, desperate to fill a hunger only Lance could satisfy. The starvation was exhausting, and Keith was not going to be slave to it any longer.

it saddens me that people are doing this. moreover, ao3 scraped 63 million fics last week to feed to ai essentially, so people who use ai in their work are in a way stealing from countless ao3 authors. we as the writer community should be helping each other and lifting each other up, not ripping off each other's work because people are too lazy to write words down themselves. sigh. i won't rant about this too much but seriously fuck ai
