Can anyone tell me whether Sims 4 is worth buying?

I never enjoyed the sims 3. I mostly hated how fugly the sims looked to me, how you couldn’t start with a clean lot and the THOUSAND interactions you could do with other sims. Like, I play to relax XD Not to drown in choices.

However, I’ve read that people who enjoyed the sims 2 will enjoy the sims 4 more than  those who enjoyed the sims 3. And I’m getting pretty burnt out on playing the sims 2. Should I take a shot at it and buy it? Right now I can get the “Deluxe” version together with “Pets” for 60,-. 

(And I figure, if nothing else I can learn conversion? But 60 bucks is pretty steep for a trial...)

Dressers

I made a thing! I’m starting to get the hang of this recolour stuff....a little. Very little. But still!

So here are some recolours for the Chesterstick Cherry Dresser: 

....I promise I’ll look up how to get decent in-game photos soon. Anyway, they come in four colour: blue, yellow, pink and something called “fixer upper”. It’s basically the best I could come up with for now. I never did manage to figure out how the image fit the object, but I think it doesn’t look too poorly!

Well, things did not work out as I had hoped they would, but in the end, better late than never, here finally comes the functional version of this shower I was asked about ages ago. I do not know how to work with animations, so I have left them the way they were - they seem ok to me, though they are not perfect; you can check for yourself here (and pity my poor testing sim Stavros, who does not have roof over his had nor flooring beneath his feet).

Comes with one recolor as pictured, more info in the ReadMe as usual.

WIP

So I never use the Chesterstick Cherry Dresser because I tend to have creative/alternative Sims and that just seems too fancy? But now that I can recolor stuff, I figured why not try to make it something like this:

Because that’s all nice and creative, right? But figuring out what’s what is kinda difficult to me XD Any tips are welcome! This is my attempt so far:

4t2 Rainbow Collection - Part One

An Anonymous user requested that I convert the beautiful Rainbow Collection made by Saurus. The collection is really fun and colourful, so I hope you like it too. To see how colourful the set really is, check out the swatches. In this part there is one T-Shirt, one skirt and a pair of jeans.

There are 2 different versions of each top/bottom. V1 are solid colours, whereas V2 the striped/tie-dye/patterned versions. There are 15 different recolours of each version; you can view the swatches with the download links below.

Stubbornness is a virtue, right? So my very first recolour is a reality!

Look at them pretties!! They’re IT-themed because my husband is a doll <3 (and helped me out with my sims before)  So! On the Inverted Vertigo poster we have 3 new recolours! As you can see above. The fourth one is the original :) Oh! And I’ve made the “you turn me on” one myself. The others are stolen from the internet from places that wouldn’t let me trace the original artist. So this is another set where elders just share the adult version (I feel Maxis got more and more lazy with them throughout the series…) so I’ve made a version that is adults only if you’re not a fan of adult bodies for elders. I’ve also made a version which enables this for formal as well. Enjoy friends x

I wanted a place for the local “eccentric aunt/uncle”

You know the type. The kind of person who’s unconventional but nice, basically a source of wisdom for the local kids. The kinda person you can go to for advice without being judged, you know?

Anyway, this is what I built and I had so much fun I just wanted to share!

So this is the front. Including a nice place to hang out and bbq or whatever. And also a place to make pots because I’m really envisioning a kinda “homemaker” type of person. Besides, I needed a hobby that’s not too conventional!

See? There’s a toilet stuffed behind the bed you can’t see, but you get the gist I’m sure. Either way, I’m curious how it’ll be once I’m actually playing this lot! I’m guessing “inconvenient”.

A gift for you, my 899 followers <3

I am AMAZED at being one away from 900!!1! It is a lovely Bank Holiday weekend here so I am posting this now. Whilst retexturing some hairs for the Parkin kiddos the other week I had a hankering for more pastel shades. I started with just Starflower and Mallow… but then as you can see it kinda got away from me a bit. And more, erm, non-pastel. Ahem. So I present to you  *fanfare blaaaarp* BIFFY’S SPRING PICNIC PALETTE! Inspired by a walk in the British countryside in the late spring sun, followed by a picnic lunch. 

The two hairs I have for you today are custom unnaturals of Alesso Himiko and Zauma Stars. Both hairs are all ages. Zeusar’s Pearls v3.5 textures. Meshes by Martini, and the above swatch are included.

I have tried to make unique colours from scratch, so any similarity to other simmers’ existing colours is purely unintentional. I must however give credit to Pooklet - most of these include a Time Bomb layer, and they also start on a base of Volatile. At the moment I just have PSDs saved of the new colours but I am hoping to make PS actions very soon! I hope you like them  (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

As I’m between gameplay rounds in Poppyseed Ridge I have a few things to share. First is a sim I made simply because I fell in love with this hair by @amidalasims. Like, serious flippin’ heart eyes emoji. In my game she is called Augusta but you can do whatever you like with her!
