PAST
At this moment he felt relaxed with it just them being there, and that was what counted. Right or wrong, Ricky was going to be there for Lisa rather they were together romantically or going back to being just best friend. It didn’t matter to him as long as he had Lisa in his life. That was what mattered to him. But honestly he was hoping just to have her back in his arms again, and kissing her once again. Because he did want this and he was willing to make this work as long as she wanted the same thing.
“Lisa, you are my best friend and so much more. Everything with you became so natural and I don’t want to give that up. I’m willing to fight for this if I have to, fight for you because I’m going to say this again and I want you to really listen to me. You are worth it, you are worth everything.” Ricky’s gaze was locked onto her, as he spoke those words. He believed them, he just needed her to believe them. He honestly didn’t care what Greg did to him as long as he had Lisa on his side.
Ricky brought her hand up to his lips and kissed her skin gently. Hearing her words, he shrugged a little bit. “Well he has. But I do have Ian looking into it, to see if he can even do this. Right now I’m just settling back into being a police officer although I feel as if I took two steps back but then again you are worth it.” He repeated those words. “Childish temper?” He questioned. Wrapping his arm around her some more as she spoke about getting a divorce and fighting for custody. “Well whatever you need I’m your guy, Lisa. I can see if Ian will be your lawyer if you want. It’s fine, Lisa really don’t worry about me and worry about getting your son back.”
She ran her thumb along his hand, watching him closely and listening to the words he was saying. She couldn’t help but feel so comfortable with him. It had been so natural. This had never been a plan. She hadn’t expected to fall in love with him when he first came to check on her. It just happened. The more time they spent together as friends, the more they molded together.
“He does have a tendency to have a very harsh temper...” She said softly, biting down on her bottom lip. Anytime she thought about where everything had gone wrong with her and Greg, it was a red light over their fight in which for a long time she feared him. It had happened that once and then there was a slight push later. But that was most likely the start of the downfall. She didn’t want to think about that now though. She would think about Greg when she finally went back into town and had to face him.
Coming closer, Lisa started to cuddle into his side. She then leaned up and gave him a kiss. “I love you, Ricky. And yes, maybe next week sometime we can go visit him and look into it. Together. Because I can only do this with the help of your strength. Otherwise, I am going to fall apart.” She admitted.

PAST
He smiled back at her, seeing her right here and now gave him hope. Hope that they could be something an actual couple instead of just sneaking around behind everyone’s back. Screw his job, he didn’t need it. Just needed her. Ricky honestly didn’t care if Kelly hated him or not, Kane was a different story though. And Keegan, he loved that little man. Hell he still had the toys that he had gotten him. So if Lisa was in, so was he to do this. Have them actually be together now.
Ricky nodded his head a little bit when she mentioned everything. “Well the offer stands, Lisa. I’m in this with you if you are. Despite everything. This was never just sex or an affair to me.” He told her honestly. “I don’t know what it meant to you but it meant a lot to me. More than what I ever expressed but I always meant to tell you that you mean more to me then just an affair. I don’t care about the trouble because you are worth it. You are worth more then anything you could possible realize, Lisa.”
Watching her for a moment, honestly this was something he could get used to her. Moving over to the couch, he sat down. Looking back at her when she took a seat, he couldn’t help but reach out and take one of her hands. “And I really, really have missed you as well. There is nothing to forgive you for. I hope you know this. Well I got demoted back to being just the basic police officer but we will see how long that will last. I have Ian looking into things.” He told her honestly. He didn’t hold much back from her.
There was a sense of freedom here. Like being in France had its freedoms. No one knowing she was back and the peace of the forest. Even more so, Ricky Henderson standing here before her. It made her melt. It reminded her that once again he was her best friend and, right or wrong, someone she had desperately fallen in love with. She loved Greg, but things had frayed their relationship. Multiple things. Perhaps, it was age most of all; they had outgrown each other. But especially choices and mistakes. She wanted this.
“Honestly, it’s never been that for me either. You became my best friend and this happened naturally. And there is some glory in that because natural chemistry is a beautiful thing.” Lisa smiled toward him. She looked down a bit at the mention of her being worth it. She still doubted that. She still felt guilty for all this trouble and uproar. She shouldn’t honestly have felt guilt though. In a way, she had needed this.
As she took a seat next to him, she smiled and let her fingers curl around his hand. She shook her head as he mentioned getting demoted. “I don’t think he can do that. I especially don’t think he should have done that. I love him, but sometimes he has a very childish temper... I wanted to sit and talk it out that night, but he wouldn’t.” She sighed a bit, leaning against him a bit. “I do think that I am going to ask him for a divorce. Even now, he doesn’t want to talk to me. So, there is no fixing our marriage. And if we have to fight for custody over Keegan... so be it, because I do really miss my son... So, I might be making things a lot harder on you...”

PAST
When she nuzzled into him, he just held her there. Wanting everything to go away that led to her leaving him to begin with. Taking in her scent still, he felt at peace with her here. It was obvious that he had missed her or else he wouldn’t have drove all this way to see her. He would lose his job over and over again if that meant being with Lisa. She was the one person he never expected to fall for but he had. And now he wasn’t going to take it back because he didn’t regret her or this at all. No matter what happened.
“I missed you too so much..” He whispered, when she slowly stepped back he left his hand on her waist. Not letting go of her just in case he was dreaming or something. Looking back at her, he took in how beautiful she was. Hearing her comment about coming home, he couldn’t help but smile. “Well home can be where ever you make it. Even if it’s with me. I can take my couch, I’m sure Audrey won’t mind.” It was a small offer but at least she would be back. Dropping his hand from her waist as he moved inside after she offered him to come in. “There is no where else I want to be.” He told her honestly, closing the door behind him. “Coffee sounds good.”
She smiled up at him, loving the look on his face. It gave her such hope that coming back was a good idea. Maybe it was over for her and Greg, and perhaps that was the best thing. Could she leave Greg? Finally just call it quits, and move in with Ricky? Find a different happily ever after. The only question would be where that would leave the kids. Kelly hated her right now. Kane would be indifferent as long as she was happy. Keegan might be confused, but children survived divorces all the time.
“I texted Greg before I left France and he did not sound like he was willing to forgive so I am planning on staying here for a little while. The main thing is I want to see Keegan. But that’s not too hard. I could have Kane bring him here for me to see him. I would love to stay with you, but until I know where to go next I am not even sure I want to show my face in town. Let alone bring on more trouble for you and I.” Plus she still didn’t know if she was ready to give up Greg.
She walked over to the small kitchen counter, picking up the French press and pouring coffee into two mugs. For the most part the cabin was bare. Just a few things that she had brought back with her from France. She carried the two mugs over to set them on the coffee table before taking a seat on the couch. She looked over at Ricky, smiling softly. “Oh, I really, really missed you... I don’t think I will be able to stop saying that. Forgive me... How bad have things been?”

PAST
It seemed like the longest thirty minutes of his own life as well. But everything had gone to shit. He had hurt not just one women but two and honestly Ricky felt horrible about the whole situation. Truthfully he had risked his career and everything for Lisa and he would do it again if he had to. He couldn’t deny that he wasn’t in love with her because he was. Ricky wasn’t about to go around and pretend he wasn’t. He loved two people and it killed him.
Of course he had been nervous but yet here he was pushing them aside and focusing on knocking at the door. The moment that it opened, there was a small smile on his lips. “Lisa..” Before anything else could be said, he felt her arms around him and he hugged her back instantly. God he had missed this. Her in his arms like this. Holding her closely he didn’t want the hug to end between them at all.
He took in her scent as he leaned his head against her head. The familiar scent that he had grown to love, he had truly missed her. Ricky couldn’t deny that at all especially right now. He felt restless with her gone, but now all those feelings just completely disappeared. Now he just held her in the doorway and nothing else mattered to him.
Her arms wrapped around him. Her feet practically off the floor as she nuzzled against his neck inhaling his scent. She had left for good reason. She was hoping to get some peace of mind. What she had gotten was a moment of rest with no stress, but still a bundle of confusion. She had really missed him so much though. Standing here now that was obvious. And obviously he had missed her too, because he sure as hell didn’t have to come out here especially with all the shit she had started for him.
“I missed you so much...” She murmured before slowly taking a step back. She looked him over, almost checking for something. Battle wounds. Something to say that Greg had lost his temper. She bit down on her bottom lip. “I decided I would come home... I am still deciding what home is...” She said in a form of explanation. She then stepped back. “Come in. I made some coffee... I didn’t know if you would come but I hoped...”

October 20th:
I am getting a little homesick. Having seen Kane is really making me want to go home. I wonder if Greg would let me come home. If I did go home, would we be able to work through our problems? All the fights we’ve had and I have never walked away... it’s never been this bad. That’s why I left in the first place. I really miss him though. I miss Keegan and even though Kelly hates me, I miss her too.
Speaking of Kelly, I didn’t write this down but maybe I should. I got a text. I thought it was over? Is it really not over? What if Kelly is still in danger? What if Keegan grows up to be in danger? They really need me home, don’t they? I think I will start settling things here. I will text Greg. See if he seems a little less angry with me.

October 25th:
Okay... Greg still hates me. Maybe I can’t go home yet. Damn it! If I could turn back time... wait, that is definitely a song. Why the hell am I writing these? I feel like a freaking teenager talking about the boy who doesn’t like me. No, really I am doing this to get my emotions out. Although I am not sure it’s helping. I think it is only making me more homesick. I keep looking back at old pictures. Reminiscing. God, I miss my husband. Does this make me horrible? I probably miss him more than my own children. I am. Absolutely horrible. The worst mother in the world... Not that I don’t absolutely miss them horribly to. I just wish I could make up for what I have done. I will try back in a month. See if another month helps move emotions along.

Lisa was heading home. She needed to see her son. She also wanted to beg Greg for her forgiveness. It was time. She had been driving toward town when she noticed a car pulled over. She should have known better. Why didn’t she know better? One good deed led to something that she could never turn back from. She had been walked back to her car. She sobbed and begged for another option. Anything they wanted she would do. But it wasn’t another. -A had another idea.
Her hand shook. The cursive writing much sloppier than her normal writing, not to mention the tear stains and a couple of smeers on the ink. She couldn’t stop sobbing. It was hard to even write in a straight line with the blur of her vision. She didn’t want them to believe that she would ever leave them. So she had to try and send a message. Some sort of message. So even in her sloppy writing, she tried to throw in a hint or to. Not that this easily couldn’t be covered up with the stress of a mental break in her final moments.
I am sorry. So so so sorry. Please forgive me. It’s just to much… I can’t handle this anymore. I tried to be happy. I tried to be everything everyone needed and in the end I failed everyone. Greg, I always loved you. I am so sorry… Ricky
Ricky I loved you too…. I fell in love with you… I never should have let myself get so close to you. Kelly, KAne, KeegAn I love you. Try to live your best lives for me. I am so sorry. I hope you all can forgive me one day. Please, please forgive me…
Lisa
She sobbed, releasing the pen and laying back. It was all over. There was nothing to be done. She muttered a prayer, over and over, begging for forgiveness as she drifted away.
Merry Suicide | Closed
location: edge of the woods on the road into town victim: @lisa–sharpe
It was easy to get Lisa Sharpe to stop for them on her way back into town. A little pretending went a long way. Car troubles. Lisa was a nice enough woman. Helpful. A sap. She’d stop… and sure enough, on her journey back to face her demons, Lisa’s car rolled to a stop beside their own. She got out of the car. Big mistake. It would turn out to be fatal.
Soon enough, Lisa was out cold. Back in her own car, in the driver’s seat, slipping away from reality. The life draining out of her thanks to the help of the little pills she had been forced to take, one by one, at gunpoint. The tears streaming down her face. Begging. Oh, please. Did she think they had spent this long watching, waiting, collecting information and building themselves into this, to be swayed by a simple please, no… pathetic.
Keegan would be better off without her anyway. No better with his dad but look at the role models he had for siblings. Great start. Poor kid was a victim by surname. -A took the little piece of paper in their gloved hand and placed it on the dashboard in full view. It was a suicide note that she’d been forced to write, also at gunpoint. With the gun Angel Frazier had buried after shooting Alec. They would put it back in its place after they were done with it here. It wouldn’t be long until that would come back to bite Angel in the ass but now was not the time.
Once they were done, they left. Once the last breath had left Lisa Sharpe’s body. Her death would act as some kind of catalyst but nobody would need to know it was a murder… right away. There could be suspicion from some but it didn’t matter. It wouldn’t be traced to them either way. As they drove away, they used a burner phone to call 112 and report a car on the side of the road. The phone was thrown out of the window and they were gone.

ricky--henderson‌:
Everything was shit, Ricky knew that and he also knew it was fault. Although he knew what was at risk the moment that he had kissed Lisa. But in the end it was worth it. Lisa had been worth the risk of everything that he worked so hard for. Flexing his hand a little bit, he was it tremor before closing his grip once again. The doctors he could bluff which was what he did. They had given him the go ahead to go back to work whenever he was ready. Right now though, he wasn’t ready to face Greg maybe. He was surprised that it hadn’t exploded by now but then again he had been steering clear of the man. The feelings for Lisa were still there, he was still very much in love with her. He couldn’t deny that just like his feelings for Teri. Everything was so complicated and screwed up now.
Coming out of the doctors office, he sighed a little bit. Trying his best to figure out what to do with his day. Maybe he would help his sister with the tree or maybe he would go to the Christmas market or something. Moving over to his car, that was when he stopped when his phone went off. Seeing the text message from Lisa, he read the address. Getting into his car, he typed it into his GPS, before starting it. He pulled out, and just started to drive.
Once he got there, he parked his car and got out. Looking at the cabin, he moved over to the door. Closing his hand into a fist, he brought it up to the door and knocked on it gently. Waiting for Lisa to answer the door. He had waited and wanted this text message from her. Just to tell him that she was at least back in Baberton, he waited for that. Waited for her. He needed her, needed her in his life even if she just wanted to be friends.
It was the longest thirty minutes in Lisa’s life. She sat looking from her book to her phone, wondering. She tried to concentrate but really she couldn’t. The reason she had stayed gone so long was because she didn’t know what life would be like if she came back. Obviously Greg wasn’t going to be easy to get forgiveness. She had ruined Ricky’s life. She felt ashamed and hiding was the easiest way to make herself feel better.
When the car pulled up, she looked to the window. She watched closely, watching him get out of the car. She admired his movements, focusing on him for a moment before closing the book and setting it on the table. She stood up, starting to the door. Upon the knock, she smiled and pulled it open. “Ricky...” She said softly. Before she could stop herself though, she jumped forward throwing her arms around him and hugging him tight.
She buried her nose in in his neck, taking in his everything. The feel of him under her arms, his scent. She hadn’t seen him since she had left and she thought she had been okay with that, but now she was beginning to realize how much she had really missed him.

( @ricky--henderson )
Letting out a small sigh, Lisa gave Felicie a big hug. “I will honestly miss you so much.” She gave a tiny laugh. She had made a lot of friends here in Paris, but she knew eventually she had to go back to reality. It was time to go back to Baberton. In a week or so, she would need to make amends and face the music. She had gotten as much peace as she could here. It had been a good and much needed vacation. Hopefully Gregory had had enough time to cool off. First stop though, she wanted to see Ricky. She still owed him for everything. She had ruined his career, and possibly made his very existence complicated. She still couldn’t deny her feelings for him. Even if they were probably very wrong.
“Keep in touch.” Felicie insisted and Lisa nodded. “Absolutely. You couldn’t keep me out of your life now if you tried.” She looked toward the ferry as the warning horn blew. “I have to go. I promise to text and call. Especially with all the horrific details of real life.” She laughed, quickly stepping back and picking up her bag. She threw it over her shoulder and stepped onto the ferry, heading for home. She couldn’t help but wonder. Would any of them be happy to see her? Kane, of course; but anyone else? Ricky, perhaps. But Greg? Keegan? Kelly? She couldn’t imagine Kelly ever forgiving her for this even if Greg did.
It was a long travel time, but it didn’t feel too long. She could feel a bit of pressure just as she drove toward the cabin. She paid a small rent sum for a cabin on the outskirts of town. She wasn’t entirely prepared to return home. It was a slow process. And obviously she couldn’t risk being caught at the family cabin. A little one bedroom would suffice for the time being, until she could slowly integrate herself back into society. She was planning on calling Gregory, no later than by the end of the week.
Lisa: 1891 N. Cabin in the Woods.
Lisa: If you want…
She hit send to Ricky before tossing her muted phone onto the opposite end of the couch. She stared at it for a moment, wondering if he would come. She should have known he would. Ricky seemed to always be there when she needed him. But at the same time, she was just so afraid. She picked up a book, beginning to read. All there was to do was wait.

She gave a small sad smile and sighed. “Supervised visits are a start. That is one flaw on being a dad. I would never take Keegan from your father if something were to happen, but in reality the woman holds mostly all control.” That was one true flaw with the system. She was hoping it would never come to that. Maybe Greg would forgive her. But at this point, it looked a little bleak. She wanted to go home, but she was extremely afraid. She was a coward. She didn’t want to fight. “How’s your father...?”

Kane smiled but he worried that his mom wished that he was Ricky. Was she waiting for him to just show up and sweep her off her feet? She was smiling more than he’d seen her do in a while and while it should have made him happy, he couldn’t help but wonder how she felt about leaving everything. Especially Keegan. “Just thought you could use a family friend and I could use a weekend away.”
Tumblr media
She had fallen in love with Ricky, but honestly that had turned more into a nightmare. This was peace. A freedom from all drama. Both from Gregory and Ricky. This was her living for herself. She missed Keegan and really would have preferred he be here with her, but Gregory wouldn’t let her bring him. She was thrilled to see Kane though. She had missed him too and it was good to see him. “I can always use company. How are you? Has Kota let you see the boys?”

Kane knew he couldn’t stay in France long, he was supposed to go to meet Kota on Monday to see James and to talk to her about what would happen with Luke, he couldn’t imagine not seeing Luke anymore. He forgave him for leaving, he’d hope that he’d understand that things just couldn’t work out between them but that didn’t change how he felt about him. But enough about that, he tried to shake those thoughts from his head, that wasn’t what this weekend was about.
As much as he tried to justify that he was only visiting France to check on his mum and to make sure she was alright, he couldn’t deny that there was an allure to getting away for a bit. It was nice, to leave Baberton. It seemed lately like there wasn’t anything there to keep him from coming back. Nothing except James.
He was wondering how he was going to find his mum, knowing that asking her where she was would only ruin the surprise when he was literally crashed into by a woman. He held his arms out to help her up after she picked up his book, chuckling softly when he realized it was his mum and her reaction. “I thought you could use a friend. Sorry I’m the best I could do.”
Tumblr media
She laughed, staring up at him. She couldn’t believe he was here. “You are the best I could ask for her. What are you doing here?” She smiled brightly. He hadn’t given her any warning and she hadn’t expected this. It was an amazing surprise and she definitely needed a good surprise. “How are you? Come, come, let’s sit down. It feels like it had been ages.”
