Chapter-1: The TV Is A Lie

Crunch

The leaves crumbled under her footsteps which gave her a rush of dopamine. She needed that as much as she could. The tall shades of the trees obscured the sky, protecting the ground from the scorching heat of the afternoon sun.

Glitch started humming a small tune,seeming to enjoy her nature walk before she tripped on something.

"AAAAAH!-"

She did tumble onto the grass as her screen hit a damn rock by bad luck, cracking it a bit. She groaned in pain, scooting herself up to look down upon what she had tripped upon-

"A .....tv?"

There it was,lying on the ground with a severely cracked screen, looking as if someone had smashed it...hard. It was covered in scratches and dents but somehow the screen was still on, showing a "No Signal" on it.

The 14 year old tilted her head, gazing upon its dismantled form before huffing as she picked it up.

"This will definitely be useful!"

She thought brightly, thinking of the ways in which she could take it down and use its components. Welp I guess good luck is still on her side even if her screen is freaking cracked!

She held it close to her chest as it was obviously too large and heavy to fit her bag before carrying on with her destination, muttering:

"1 2 3 4! Huff Two Three Four!"

As joyfully as she could,quite content with the gifts of the day..

Little did the poor girl know this was going to be her biggest regret in her whole existence.

The monitor head snooped around the trash dump, hoping to find some scraps of metallic parts or anything that she could use for future projects.She did manage to find a few bolts and nuts and perhaps a screwdriver but that was it.

Quite disappointing.

Glitch sighed,putting the articles into her backpack as she turned her way around,ready to head back "home".

However she was feeling a bit adventurous today so...

Why not go down the forest path?
