2019 has been a challenging year for me and many people I know, but as the sun sets on the final day of this year and decade, in my heart there is deep gratitude. I have learned and grown so much and am grateful for the lessons life has sent me. I have also learned to let go and love deeply - and this has opened up a dimension of deep joy. Love. The video for the title track of my album is ready! Click on the link in my bio and head to the 'videos' tab to give it a watch. It was a bit challenging to create - and was saved by a knight in shining armour - wonderful Daniel Schöb who stepped up to the plate to create this mesmerising video. Thank you! 💜 The track was born out of a collaboration with the amazing London-based producer, @akaraett - during our very first session together. We met, we chatted - and four hours later, we had a track. Pure creative synergy. For me, the energy of the track follows that of a journey of realisation and awakening...at first, tentative - a little unsure - and then slowly but surely building in energy until the impact of realisation breaks through the veils of fear and delusion and the truth is seen. It is a call to that innermost part of you that longs to break free. The part of you that believes in dreams - even (especially) when they seem hard to achieve. I hope it inspires you to follow the call of your heart - whatever it may be. The ninth music video from my album, Awakening is now available to view. This is the most significant song on the album for me. In 2016, my mum transitioned to the other side. In the months approaching her passing, once I had begun to understand she was reaching the end of her time with us, I wrote this song. It was written as a reminder to myself about the transitory nature of life - to be humble enough to surrender to its flow. To accept. Even during the painful times. The words "let it rain" throughout the song are a constant reminder to surrender - to let life happen - for just like the rain, there is nothing we can do to stop it.
