Prince Benjamin Hastings' Certificate of Royalty

We have Garrett Hedlund for the face-cast as Benjamin Hastings!!! His looks just fit the character I have in mind so well.

Bio:

Born and raised in the Sunrise Kingdom of the Sun District, prince Benjamin Hastings, or as he prefers to be called 'Ben', is the eldest of four, and the heir to his father's throne. The Ministry of Royal Affairs decides the fates of all members in the district's monarchies, and Ben is no exception. His betrothal to princess Selene Étoile is unexpected, but one that he isn't opposed to; he's heard she's quite attractive after all.

Rumored to be a bit wicked, and for having a collection of women who've known his bed, Selene is a bit nervous to meet her betrothed. Silas and Milo insist she will be alright, but there's only so much they can do to protect her against another royal without risking their own lives. She can only hope that the rumors are false, and her new husband will be a blessing rather than a horrid curse.

After some thinking, research, and seeing these votes, I think that switching from Selene’s POV to Jake’s either back and forth within the chapter or chapter by chapter will work best for the story.

I’m gonna start writing soon and see what feels most natural for sure. Since I have 4 books planned, it’s def going to fit some of the 3rd and 4th book scenes best to have head-hopping going on.

3rd person POV for sure though.

I’m really torn between Omniscient or Limited POV for the novel. I think that omniscient can certainly offer a lot of insight on what’s happening in the world, but limited will allow you to get more involved with select characters and their emotions. Then there’s “head hopping” and that feels like that might work too. I don’t knowwwwww.

Please throw away you feelings toward THIS story, and just tell me in general what YOU like to see in novels you’ve read in the past.

“Game of Thrones” is a good example of limited third person with “head-hopping, which could be another possibility. Like one chapter was in Daenerys’ POV, and another in Jon Snow’s POV.

“Lord of the Flies” is omniscient.

“Harry Potter” is limited, the POV being only through Harry’s head.

So I ask you:

“It doesn’t matter” can’t be an answer on this one because I need to make a decision and I genuinely need help lol. Personally I’m leaning toward limited with head hopping but want to know what you think/how you enjoy reading the novels you’ve read and idk if I want it to be that complicated.

Bio:

Milo Sullivan grew up in a troubled home within the Moon District, not far from the Capital. He spent the first seven years of his adult life in the Royal Service Academy in an attempt to make something of himself, trying to separate from his difficult past.

After spending seven years hearing his roommate at the Academy, Silas Gardiner, talk about how wonderful the Moonlight Kingdom was, he decided to request the Étoile Royal Estate for his permanent assignment.

Seeing how well the two complimented each other, and with his daughters safety being of the utmost importance, King Henry Étoile brought them both on to be Princess Selene’s personal security detail; a job in which they both take great pride.

Got his little stamp of approval from the Royal Service Academy 🥺

Bio:

Silas Gardiner always wanted to serve the kingdom he grew up in, so when enrolling in the Royal Service Academy, it only made sense that he request his assignment be in the Moonlight Kingdom, serving the Étoile Royal Estate.

Having been a service member for ten years, he's known Selene since she was only a child, and as her personal bodyguard, he's sworn to protect her at all costs.

Author's note: My face-casting for Silas, (Marc who still needs a name), and Jake is...you guessed it, Oscar bb. It's just that this is what I'm imagining while writing. Saw this pic and said...that looks like (Steven) as a bodyguard if I've ever seen it.
