Hey poang pal! Hope you are having a great week! To kick things off, what is your favourite arc, and what is your favourite summer vibes activity ? (Like at the beach, eating ice cream etc.?)

hi pal sorry i’m a little late to answering!! i’m not entirely sure what’s considered an arc but i think abduction arc (duane barry, ascension, one breath) is one of my favorites despite how much it pains me. heavy on ascension. i also love the anasazi arc (anasazi is one of my favorite episodes) and i love redux ii as a singular episode arc LOL. so i think abduction arc takes the cake! sorry this is so long winded.

favorite summer vibes activity hmm i suppose swimming! beach, or pool if it wasn’t a community one oop. if i lived in a less inhospitable summer place i’d probably say bike riding :) i also love getting summer treats like popsicles, teas, and smoothies!

Just finished Redux II, and to celebrate here are all the things Mulder had to live through in the last 4 episodes that I can list off the top of my head :

- took ketamine to vividly hallucinate his missing sister

- thought he killed two people

- went to prison

- almost shot himself

- His soulmate and the only person who he is close to is dying

- finds out his entire life and all his suffering was a lie created by the governement and the thing he is most passionate about that defines his entire life trajectory is just a way for those in power to manipulate people. He’s essentially been treated like an utter ragdoll and a fool while he thought he was rebelling against the system.

- finds out HE’S the reason his soulmate is dying

- almost shoot himself AGAIN

- found out he was being stalked

- killed a guy in cold blood

- became legally dead

- met his long gone sister again only to be told that she loved the man who tries to kill him like a father and she has a whole ass life of her own and she doesn’t wanna see him (he will never see her again)

- soulmate is really REALLY dying this time (they don’t let him see her on what has a high chance of being her death bed)

- risks his life to save her (all he gets is mineral water)

- surprise ! There was something in the mineral water

- surprise ! It doesn’t seem to do anything !

- crying sobbing clutching her hand while kissing it because it’s all his fault

- oh also he’s gonna go to prison for murder

Yk, if we assume the aliens have an organised society, and that exploring earth has some level of normalcy to it, the X files from their perspective must be hilarious, because litterally anytime they interact with America, Fox Mulder is there investigating. Wanna have a little trip down to the lake ? Ouh, watch out Fox Mulder might get you. Looking for a new pet human ? You better stay away from the Mulders or the guy will hunt your ass down. Just having a nice fly above the countryside ? You best fucking believe Fox Mulder is there. Observing. Investigating. He isn't even just doing alien related duties ; your second cousin who's a poltergeist down on earth got burnt to a crisp because of him. He's an exorcist, a profiler, an investigator, he survives situations that would kill the average man, and no amount of threats will dissuade him. Nobody does it like him. He probably got some sort of urban legend about him over there on zip gnarf gorp planet.

The thing about the X-Files is that it's monsters and conspiracies for 43 minutes and then you have that one minute between Scully and Mulder. my friend @dykelops and i accidentally got really invested in an AU concept where scully goes into medicine instead of law enforcement and adopts andy barclay after both of his parents die early in his childhood and mulder gets involved in the lakeshore strangler case due to the ritualistic nature of the murders and then the plot of child's play happens

That said, you are encouraged to learn more about your recipient by sending ANONYMOUS asks and are welcome to incorporate some of their other interests into your gift to create something truly personalized to your recipient!
