Let's talk about Lenny and Larry's. My husband and I kept seeing them at the grocery store with the workout/nutrition bars and we decided to finally give it a try. Um. So. Good. We have basically tried all flavors now and deciding which is your favorite might be one of the hardest decisions you ever have to make. Warning: serving size is 2 so either split with a buddy, eat half now save for later, or say YOLO and go for gold. 🏅 What I like about them is: they are non GMO (woot) and free of soy (another woot for me) annnnd no dairy or eggs if you have a dairy allergy. They have a decent amount of protein which is a great treat after working out plus they don't have that weird protein health bar taste, they taste like a...cookie🍪 So next time you are in your grocery store, check to see if they carry these yummy snacks and Treat Yo Self.

Savory Spiced Popcorn
I love me some popcorn. I like popcorn, especially air popped, because it’s a way to satisfy a salty craving minus all the calories and junk that chips sometimes give you. My husband and I love Boom Chica Pop’s BBQ popcorn,it’s highly addictive and won’t last in the house more than a day. Try it…or don’t…but do. Ugh. So good. However, it can be a pricey habit to keep up with and while it might be a better option than other things, it can add up in calories and ingredients.
Now i’m not claiming this popcorn replaces the taste of the store bought treat, but it is savory and once again easy because it was ingredients we already had at the house. The problem is, I kind of went rogue on measurements meaning I didn’t.. and just winged it so…I will ballpark how much I used but if you try it, have fun and season to taste. I may have used a bit too much garlic but no vampire visitors last night (sorry Twilighters)! Enjoy and happy snacking!
½ cup of yellow popcorn kernels 2 spoonfuls of paprika 2 spoonfuls of garlic 1ish spoonful of salt 1-2 spoonfuls of coconut sugar Olive oil spray Coconut oil
Put a bit of coconut oil in a pot along with the popcorn kernels. Cover and heat up but make sure to shake the pot on occasion so it won’t burn the popcorn. In a separate bowl combine all the spices. Once the popcorn is in a bowl, spray a bit of oil onto the popcorn so spices will stick better. Make sure to coat the popcorn evenly and continue adding spices until your tastebuds approve. Now pop in that redbox movie or begin binge watching your netflix shows and chill. 🍿

P&P Oatmeal Cookies
We all know that when September comes everything magically gets pumpkin flavored! The oatmeal cookie is no exception. I came across a lot of different recipes online however, I chose this specific recipe based on what I had available in my kitchen. I substituted a few ingredients which could be why this cookie wasn’t as sweet but my husband actually preferred it. I would definitely make these again and if you do end up making these, please let me know how you liked it! I will post how I attempted the cookies and then post the link to the actual recipe. Enjoy your snack!
¼ cup peanut butter 1/3 cup canned pumpkin ¼ cup stevia 2 Tbsp. coconut oil, melted 1 tsp. cinnamon ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg 1 tsp. almond extract ¾ cup rolled oats ¼ cup arrowroot powder ½ tsp. baking powder 1/3 cup dark chocolate
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all the wet ingredients first, then adding the remaining (dry)ingredients. Add the dark chocolate last. Spoon the dough on to the cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 mins. Once out of the oven, turn your oven off so you won’t burn your house down or get surprised with extra $$ on your electric bill. If you can wait for them to cool than have at least three otherwise burn your mouth and be sad you can’t taste the treat you just made. The end.

Sweet Potato Chip Fries. One of the easiest snack recipes by far but also one of the tastiest! All it takes is three ingredients: sweet potatoes, oil (i use olive) and salt...Of course adding more spices is entirely up to your creative process but you just stick them in the oven on 300F for 45 minutes and boom you have a snack. You have probably observed from my picture that I do not believe in one shape only, so whether it is chip slices, fries, or anything in between, have fun, snack and be merry!

Welcome 🍪🍔🍌🍕🍓🍿🍭🍦
Hello!
Thanks for visiting our page. They say write what you know and what do we know? Snacks. My husband and I love food, eating, snacking, creating, and did i mention food? We also know the importance of taking care of your body, so while we enjoy all things food, we also enjoy working out and choosing healthier options when it comes to treats. Of course, splurging happens and calories don’t count sometimes but it’s all about moderation. Hey, the healthier the snack the more you can eat, right? 😉 Our goal of this blog is to document some of our favorites, post recipes, and also get inspired by other’s delicious journeys. I hope you enjoy and stick around, but warning: this could make you hungry!
