The date. Whether it’s by an enemy or the by brass having had enough of me, the cause is probably going to be a gunshot. Knowing how much longer I have left would be interesting, though.

I sort my own hair out because no one sees it anyway. I can’t be arsed to style it, so I just have a buzz cut. (According to a medic who had to do stitches on my head, it feels like those Sylvanian Families toys. Which is an odd comparison, but I took it as a compliment.)

I had to cut Roach’s hair for him once. He tried to do it on his own and absolutely butchered it so he asked me to fix it for him (I need you to know that we have actual barbers on base. Why he asked for my help is beyond me). Apparently I’m capable of a simple fade.

Parties are something I avoid at all cost. They’re loud, crowded and unlike a concert I can’t even enjoy the music most of the time.

If you see me at a party, I’ll be there with someone, probably their designated driver or chosen to keep them out of trouble. I’ll stay in the corner and people-watch until I get the signal to leave.

I’d like to hope I’m at least okay at it? I mean, I’ve never had any complaints. Sure I enjoy it if I actually like the person.

My first kiss was… awkward. I was 17 and an older drunk girl I didn’t know decided to snog me because I let her sit on my shoulders. It was a shitty underground metal show and everyone cheered over it, so I just kinda let it happen. I didn’t want to make a scene, you know?

The most recent I barely remember. Some guy behind a shitty pub in a foreign country, said he liked my “mystique”. I spent the whole thing pretending he was someone else, but it wasn’t bad.

I don’t know if I want to put that information out there. Everyone I’ve cared about in the past got hurt because of me and I don’t want that to ever happen again.

But, to give you an answer, there is one person and I’d do anything for them. I won’t name them, because I’m afraid something might happen, and in case (god forbid) they ever find this blog. I don’t think they know how much I care, and even though they’re perfectly capable of protecting themselves, I want to keep them safe.

I prefer calling people. You can easily misinterpret someone’s tone if you can’t hear it, and it’s just faster than texting.

I don’t know what the hell a ‘typing quirk’ is, so probably not
