Big news. I’m not allowed, I don’t have the permission, but I’m doing it anyway. I’m drinking coffee, even if the doctors told me not to do it yet. Oh well, I’m enjoying it a lot and I’m not going to stop until they tell me so... Why did I started to drink coffee again? Not because I needed the caffeine (though I don’t mind it), but I missed the really good taste of good coffee. Also, my local coffee shop started selling some unique coffees from @jamescoffeeco and can’t wait to try them all. @petermckinnon is to be blamed for this 😜 Another good thing about this decision is that I’m not going to have to refuse coffee when I visit someone (it doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s a huge deal when for me). . Our second loaf of sourdough has been an even bigger success than the first one. I’m really proud of my wife and how her hard efforts have this beautiful and delicious results. From all the foods, baked, cooked, grilled etc I find that the sourdough is very close to an art/science project. I wonder if this loaf was more successful because I didn’t help at all. What’s your child’s favourite toy? My son, who’s not even 3 years old yet, has been shifting from one are of toys to another almost weekly (or is it daily, or few times per day?). From blocks to stuffed bears, trains to LEGO, little animals and everything in the between, he tried, enjoyed and left it randomly behind. There is one area where he keeps coming back, and where he looks the happiest from all of the above, and that’s the world of cars (toys). We have small, medium, big and whatnot kinds of cars, but what you will find around him most of the time are the small ones. Many times when he goes to play dates I tell him to grab some of the cars and give them to the other kids. This plot of mine to get rid of some toys, unfortunately never works. He’s always bringing back home more cars that he had left with, basically all his pockets contain at least one car. Now just to clarify, I’m not against any of these toys, I’m actually enjoying very much to watch my little boy letting his imagination run and just being happy with so little. My stress is only with the storage, and what kind of magic do I have to perform in order to keep up with this huge pile of toys that keeps growing at an alarming rate? . . PS: I’m writing this caption at a very inappropriate time (1:00AM), which means that I don’t have enough energy to go over whatever I wrote above, and edit it to make it better and with more sense . I know that I’m late with this post - 5 days late... but to be honest I didn’t feel at all that we are already in March. I remember from back home (when I used to be a young man 😉) that in March the fresh grass would start fighting the heavy snow and victoriously would conquer the vast white with a fresh vivid green. The grass would not be the only one, beautiful little flowers would march in this battle to the music of a famous orchestra of birds. Why did I forgetting post this photo? I wish I could spend more time in this chair, being surrounded by my books than in front of my computer all day long. Today was a nice and sunny day in Toronto, and a perfect time to make a new friend. The round table, a couple of very well made warm drinks created a comfortable setup for the rendezvous with Maya. This winter we became friends with the old ugly cold, and it was no fun at all. We all had it, and we are still haunted by it. When I thought that I’m about to get sick again, I knew I was going to be stuck in bed for a long time. But everything changed when I was getting some groceries from Nature’s Emporium and while I was there I asked one of the employees if there’s something that I could get to stop this nasty cold to overpower me again. The nice lady suggested first oregano oil, but I’m not very comfortable with the taste. Her second suggestion was this awesome elderberry potion that I cannot say enough good things about. After the first couple of times using it, the symptoms started to fade away, and that was amazing. My wife also tried it, because she was starting to feel that the cold was coming back, and guess what, she encountered the same surprising results. Now this little magical potion will be present in our house throughout the winter. Our first sourdough is out of the oven is looking amazing!!!! The process wasn’t easy, and definitely not short, but as you can see it totally was worth it! First I really need to mention that the merits go fully to my very patient wife, who carefully took care of the starter and all of the measurements that needed to be on point by the gram. I’m happy to say that it is a success and we were crazy excited to see this being made in our own home.
