Yo! What's got you on carnivore? Anthro / Furry art yay or ney?

Hey there!

Well, I’ve struggled in the past with some health problems and tried many different diets like Vegan, vegetarian, keto and gluten free. Unfortunately, none of these left me feeling my best. I learned about carnivore a few years ago after fervently searching for something to cure angular cheilitis naturally. I was sure it was an internal problem as opposed to external, so I tried it out hoping it would help. Long story short, it did and I decided to switch for good. So far, I feel great!

While I sometimes admire other peoples abilities to draw furry/anthro art, I could never achieve it because I can’t really draw other animals that well. Horses and regular old humans are my thing. (Although I find anime girls with cat ears to be cute, but you didn’t hear that from me! Lol)

Thanks for asking! I didn’t think many people on Tumblr knew about or were on carnivore. I hope this answers your questions!

Yesterday was my youngest sisters birthday. She is such a precious thing! One of my other sisters made these gluten free cupcakes and I helped decorate them.

Sorry this took me a while to respond to! I was in town all day Wednesday and we ran many errands. The doctor was severely lacking because all we needed was paperwork to be able to do blood work latter. It’s all in convoluted steps, from what I’ve observed. It will probably be months until I can actually get any feedback.

Anyway, I know someone who got into cross stitching and she worked for months and months on a single project. She described it to me, saying it was a large, colourful eye or something like that. I think it would be cool if you took it up again.

On the relatively same note, one of my sisters and I are working together to make a quilted square scarf for a friend’s birthday. Here are some photos:

The hoop is there so I can do the quilting part. I’ve already finished the middle (because you must start from there outwards) and now I’m doing the decorative quilting of flowers on all corners. I will show you some photos of the completely finished project! (By the way, I’ve already snapped a needle in half! I did that a lot when making my special quilt, which is another project I would like to show you later.)

I think I understand what you mean with the crisis thing. That happened to me a few years ago and I completely quit drawing horses. I drew people occasionally, but never horses. Then, while I was at one of the summer camps last year, my friend asked me if I could draw her a little horse on her book. I refused at first because I had realized I was bad at it and didn’t want to continue, but she asked a few more times until finally I humoured her and did it. It wasn’t very good, but after that it was like something clicked back into place. The enthusiastic urge to draw horses seemed to rise in me and I took up the pencil again to do it! To this day, I still thank her a little in my head for pushing me like that. (Sometimes I think we need a gentle push to get us on the right track, and that was one of them.)

Oh my, the cards! Two with Kyouka already! Is that Dazai I see with Atsushi and her in the far left card? Very pretty!

Now for a next one…. Let’s try 7, if you don’t mind. (I have a habit of picking odd numbers first.)

I’ve been hesitant about the whole girl blogging thing, but I thought maybe it would be fun since I like photography of things too.

Oh!! I didn’t mean to spoil it for you! I got very upset too but I couldn’t stop reading because I had an insane hope that he wasn’t truly dead, and then he wasn’t!! I was overjoyed! And now… well, I still have hope! He has the light in his eyes now, so he can’t die just yet! (At least, he doesn’t deserve it because he needs to live his life the way he wants to now, without that wretched Dazai tormenting his thoughts.)

I swear, every time I see that you’ve replied to me it’s like picking up a book you haven’t finished yet. Maybe you left off in the middle of a chapter, or maybe you’re about to start a new one? But, the feeling of excitement is still the same because you are eager to continue the story.

We can learn a lot from Miyazaki. I think what he says about most things is very important and interesting, even if one might not agree on everything. We should, of course, take everything someone says with a grain of salt, I think.

It’s a little funny because Bortnik’s physical appearance keeps changing a little at a time. Since showing you those sketches of him, I’ve experimented with his face shape in particular. To a point, I’m still trying to figure out my art style. However, the way that he dresses is relatively the same. I’ve decided to practice simply drawing the 40s style outfits (both male and female, including uniforms) from different countries as a sort of practice. It’s an era that fascinates me, other then the medieval era. I’ve always struggled with clothing, so this is a way for me to strengthen this weakness. Plus, it’s fun. Almost like dress up dolls (I used to love those when I was little!). Anyway, to me Bortnik has an air of almost melancholic daydreaming, like he wants to pursue a dream, but he isn’t sure how to go about it. Something that separates real people from many fictional characters, I think, is the fact that people are constantly changing, while most characters are not. I don’t just mean personal growth, I mean that most fictional characters we see have a main goal and they stick to this. They have resolute ideas, likes and dislikes. However, if we observe real people, we begin to understand that they change their interests pretty quickly sometimes. We change things about ourselves all the time, wether it’s because of something we learned or something that is unintentional, which we subconsciously start doing or stop doing. Creating characters that are simpler then real people is much easier. We give them goals which they must fulfill and traits that stay set in stone. It can take the life from them sometimes. Similarly, it can also backfire when over done. I don’t like characters that are always changing themselves in drastic ways. I’ve seen some of them and they are so chaotic that I don’t like them. There are rare exceptions when it’s supposed to be in their nature (for example, a sassy woman character who dyes her hair all the time and changes her outward appearance on a daily basis, but she wouldn’t be the main character.)

About a year back, Elena used to be an elf named Sasha and Bortnik was a young mage named Toris. (Actually, I think Toris could still be his own character, but he’s changed significantly.) Grozny used to be an actual Pegasus named Erbus, which was the name of a Greek god of darkness. Since then, I realized that Erbus became Grozny. I choose the name randomly one day when I was researching some Russian names. I found that Grozny is the name of some famous race horse as well. I liked that the name meant “Fearsome”, so I kept it.

I understand feeling like you don’t exactly have a right to give an opinion because you don’t think you are experienced enough in that field. And there is no need to be embarrassed about being misunderstood! I know now that if I am confused, I can just ask you for a bit of clarification. At first, I was hesitant to do so, but I am not so much anymore. Just remember that It’s hard for me to get offended by things, especially on the internet, because I know that there is a lot of room for accidental misinterpretation.

I think it’s good not to take yourself so seriously. I see lots of people go around with clouds over their heads and they get offended by little things. They forget to see the humour in some situations. Maybe it’s because I have a darker sense of humour? I consider myself a worker, and often times you will see people who work hard, in the outdoors especially, and they seem to be able to find humour in the darkest situations. It’s a coping mechanism I think, and most people don’t need a reason to do that because they don’t understand. When dark times come, what good does it do to be melancholic and serious about it everyday? Instead, I joke a lot and find the most serious things silly. It helps relieve the tension. Not only emotionally, but also physical pain to a point. You fractured or strained a limb? Joking about it helps! (Well, for me it does.). Something unfortunate happened with the weather or a piece of equipment broke? Being silly and saying something like, “well, maybe it’s karma.” And jokes like that do help a bit. I think people find workers like me to be hard to deal with because we don’t take ourselves seriously. Most of my family is like that, especially my father and grandfather. They would rather joke and poke fun then dwell on the unfortunate and be irritated. I think it’s a nice mindset to have, but it sometimes does me a disfavour when interacting with “normal” people haha! They are melancholic and they offend easily, so I need to keep myself in check. I have to remember not to joke about something with a certain person. But, that’s fine. It takes a lot of different people to make the world go round, after all.

I’ve been trying to study as much on Cossacks as possible. They interest me greatly. Unfortunately for now, I am working to finally take this written test so I can legally drive! I’m usually good with knowledge tests, but this is irritating to me because they trick you with the questions instead of simply asking you straight. Plus, I have to read a book with nine whole sections over and over again. But! I won’t allow myself to be license-less any longer! So, I must set aside what I want to do and pursue what needs to be done.

I hope you have a good trip. I think I’m molding everything into one reply, unfortunately. But I’m so tired that I don’t much care right now. <3
