My Strawhats as Greek demigods headcanons

Alright guys, nobody asked but the worms are at it, so I'm gonna share my thoughts as to what Greek gods/goddesses would be the parents of the Strawhats.

Luffy: To me, he's either a child of Hermes or Nike. Hermes because his main goal is to be King of the Pirates, and for that he needs to travel a lot of the world. Nike because through the toughest of circumstances, he manages to come out on top. I respectfully disagree with those who say Zeus, as that feels like that's starting him too close to the "King" title, instead of a smalltown boy who has to work his way up through many trials and tribulations.

Zoro: Pretty common headcanon, but he's a child of Ares. He strives to become the greatest swordsman, and is quite skilled in battle.

Nami: I see her as a child of Hermes. Partly because she's known as a thief, and partly because to travel well you need proper navigation.

Usopp: This is a child of Apollo. He's an incredible sniper, to the point where it's his role on the crew. While yes, he's a tinkerer, I see him more as a child of Apollo who hangs out with the Hephaestus kids.

Sanji: Now, this opinion might be unpopular, but I see him as a child of Hestia, goddess of hearth and home. The hearth is often associated with cooking, and Hestia's vibe is hospitality and togetherness. I know she's a virgin goddess, but if Athena can have kids, so can Hestia if she really wants to. I respectfully disagree with those who say Aphrodite, as that feels like just boiling him down to a "loverboy" and is disingenuous to his character.

Chopper: Either a Satyr or a child of Apollo, but I lean more towards a satyr who hangs out with the children of Apollo. Between being a reindeer and a doctor, I feel this makes the most sense.

Robin: Another possibly unpopular opinion, but I see her as a child of Demeter. I feel this is fitting ability-wise, as she possesses the Flower-Flower fruit. I could also see her being a child of Athena since she's so smart, but I don't see why she can't be a child of Demeter who is also really smart.

Franky: Child of Hephaestus through and through. This requires the least explanation of the bunch.

Brook: Child of Hades or Apollo, though I lean towards Hades. His devil fruit abilities revolve around soul, which I believe is fitting for a child of the Underworld. Yes, he's also a musician, but again I can't see why he can't be musically inclined as a child of Hades.

Jinbei: Child of Poseidon. I lied previously, this is the least to explain.

Random Strawhat Birthday Headcanons.

1. Nami really struggled with her 1st birthday after being free, so the tradition is you cannot buy her gift out right. It must either be stolen or you have to present a receipt proving you haggle it to 90% off. Usopp and Chopper love to tell the exaggerated story of how they stole it too.

2. Usopp is in charge of keeping track of all the birthdays coming up, mostly because he's one of the 1st people to remember to ask new members when their birthday is. Nami handles the actual party planning though.

3. On Usopps birthday the tradition is to tell your most outrageous story to him and he gets to judge which one lives up to Captain Usopps standards.

4. On Sanjis birthday Nami stands outside the kitchen with her clima tact to beat him if he tries to work. He's too much of a workaholic to want to take the day off so she forces him to and Robin is in charge of small meals and the cake that day.

5. They also have to beat Frank and Usopp out of the workshop on their birthdays.

6. Zoro wasn't able to have his 1st birthday with the crew until after the time skip. He's not super picky, he just request more expensive booze than normal and the crew tries to keep Liffy from giving him another concussion(it doesn't work)

7. Robin originally lied about her birthday and forgot to correct it until it came time to plan for the fake day. Luffy and Usopp gave her the biggest "we're not angry just disappointed" look and it was too cute for her to handle.

8. Choppers birthday is never allowed to be a double holiday celebration. It goes against the strawhat way to not party for every single opportunity. Luffy like to decorate his antlers as a crown and Chopper loves the affection. Nami does approve which treasure he's allowed to use as decorations though.

9. Jimbes birthday serves as a moment of calm in between the chaos that is Usopps and Brooks parties.

10. Nami does her best to make sure that they are on an island for Luffys birthday so thay he can go as crazy as he wants. The barbecue in on for 24 hours straight and he's fighting the local wildlife like he did on the mountains back home. No one is shocked when Sabo shows up unannounced.

The game had no emotional pay off whatsoever. I expected Joel to die. I did. But not like that. Not before any buildup.

All in all I was just unsatisfied with the story they gave us. It was suffering just for the sake of suffering.

I especially hate how they ended Tommy's story. My man deserved better.

so i finished tlou 2 and all i gotta say is what the fuck was that. you made me watch one of my favorite characters of all time be brutally beaten to death in front of his adoptive daughter, you then spend the rest of the game making her suffer and make her lose everyone pretty much everyone she loves, and then you couldn’t even give some kind of resolution????? like you couldn’t even let ellie have some fucking peace or happiness after all she’s been through??? are you fucking kidding me ????????
