Lunarspark and Solarstar's love story pt.4

It's been a month and 3 weeks since the last extermination, and Solarstar still isn't up yet. I'm sitting next to her bed where she lies. My leg tapping rapidly as Husk walks into the room, he gently places his hand on my shoulder, but my gaze never leaves her face. Husk speaks softly," You need to get some rest, kid, you haven't slept in weeks." I look up at him for a second, my eyes scan his expression before I turn back to Solarstar," I won't sleep until she's up again." I say firmly, my voice slightly hoarse from sleep deprivation." How about you sleep next to her, and I promise I'll wake you if I think she's getting up, okay?" He says his voice laced with desperation, I consider his offer carefully, my gaze never faltering from Solar's gentle face, then after a few minutes, I nod slowly.

I slowly lie next to her in bed and pull some of the covers onto us. As soon as I close my eyes, I'm out like a light, only hearing Husk chuckle and whisper to Angel Dust, who just walked in, " I knew she was tired." I want to say something back, but I'm already fast asleep, my body softly curled up to Solarstar, my hands gently hugging her waist, keeping her close to me. I try to sleep, but once I finally get tired enough, the nightmares come back, making me rip my hair out in my sleep. My eyes flash open to Husk tapping me, a concerned look on his face. For a moment, I'm confused, but then I feel the many strands of hair in my hands, both of my fists full.

" How long was I out?" I ask in a groggy tone as I slightly rub my eyes. " A whole day." Chuckles Husk, his tone ever so slightly mocking. I look down at Solarstar, who's still fast asleep. I tug on the hair in my hands as the voices in my head grow louder," You failed her! You couldn't protect her!" They shout only for me to hear in my mind. "Did she even stir while I was asleep..." I ask, my voice slightly breaking as I get up and sit back down in the chair next to the bed, my leg automatically tapping as soon as I get comfortable.

" No, I'm sorry, kid. I truly am." He says with a hint of disappointment lingering in his voice. " Thank you, Husk... you did me a big favor," I say with sincerity. My gaze darts back to Solarstar as she slightly mumbles in her sleep. At first, I can't hear her, but then, " Sparky~" escapes her lips while her eyes slowly open, and my heart skips a beat. For a moment, I just sit there staring at her, tears forming in my eyes, then I wrap my arms around her, pulling her gently into my tight embrace, tears of joy sliding down my face," How long has it been?" She asks as she holds me at shoulder length away, " Almost two months," I say, then hug her again, never wanting to let go, ever, as I begin telling her everything that happened over the time of her slumber.

Lunarspark and Solarstar's love story pt. 3

I roll out of bed with a painful headache, slightly hungover from last night, and I look over, then see a glass of water someone must have left for me. I take a small sip, which makes me feel a little better, my headache toning way down. I changed out of my dress from the other night and put on my black baggy hoodie and some black jeans. After I'm fully dressed, I go downstairs and see everyone in the lobby with worried faces, and I slightly hear Charlie say in a somewhat trembling tone, "Extermination day is here..." making me stop in my tracks, my eyes dart around the room until they land on Solarstar's fearful expression.

I enter the lobby and, for some reason, stand next to Solarstar, making a subtle and small smile form on both of our lips. I blush creeps onto my face as her fingers intertwine with mine, luckily, my hair is still crazy and unbrushed, so it covers the blush. I don't pull my hand back, surprisingly. Charlie continues talking about the extermination and what's going to happen; everyone listens intently as she speaks." The angels are going to come, and with Lute in charge now, I have a feeling they're coming here first, so get ready because it's gonna once again be up to us to stop them and keep hell safe, as well as each other. Any hatred for one another stops now and can continue only after extermination. Do I make myself clear?" Everyone nods as she finishes speaking, her tone firm and yet also fearful," Go prepare, and just in case, say goodbye if you want to." With that, everyone disperses to their loved ones, and others go to retrieve their weapons.

~Time Skip~

The angels begin to rain down from the sky, all of them heading straight for the hotel, just like Charlie said. Lute's at the front, a small splatter of blood already on her mask, and she has Adam's old halo on, showing that she's in charge now. Some of the guests cling to their families while others stand on the battlefield alone, that used to be me, but now Solarstar stands next to me, both of us in our armor and our weapons in our hands. I steal a quick glance and kiss her cheek lightly right before the angels attack. My blade clashing against the exorcist's spear, a grimace on their face as I swiftly pin them and cut their head off. I turn back around and search for Solarstar, making a pang of fear hit my chest, but it quickly fades as I spot her; she's killing an angel, and it makes my heart swoon for a moment.

The feeling of fear returns as I notice an angelic steel spear hurling towards her. I feel my heart drop to my stomach as I bolt to her, my feet hitting the ground faster each time, but I'm too late." NO!!" I screamed while running to her side, and for the first time since I got to the hotel, for the first time since I got to Hell even, I cried. I cried and sobbed into her chest plate as the reopened scar on her left eye dripped with a mixture of blood and oil. " HELP ME CARRY HER!! SOMEONE!!! PLEASE!!" I desperately shout as I try to pull he heavy animatronic form back to the hotel, my hands tugging at her shoulders with all their might. Suddenly, someone picks up her legs and helps me get her inside. A familiar voice says, " I got your back, toots." I hear them say with a thick Italian accent and realize it's Angel Dust who's helping me. We gently lay her unconscious form on the couch, and I rush to get a first aid kit.

I gently stitch back up the opened scar and place some clean gauze over her eye. Angel eventually goes back outside, but I stay in, never leaving her side, just waiting for some sign of you waking up. After the battle, everyone comes back inside and sees me with Solarstar. All of them are taken aback by the tears unaturally streaming down my fear-filled face, my hand softly holding hers and lightly caressing it occasionally. Husker helps me carry her to her room and place her on her bed. I start softly humming the melody I heard last night and make up some words for it. I sing softly,

" Sleep, my darling, under the moonlight,

Sleep, my dearest, as I hold you tight,

Sleep, my lover, as I wait here,

Sleep, my darling, as I hope that when the sun rises,

So will you,"

I begin to cry again as I repeat the song over and over again. Charlie gently places a hand on my shoulders and says softly," Don't worry, she'll probably be up in the next hour or so," her voice filled with hope. But hours turn to days, days turn to weeks, and weeks turn to a month, the whole time not once do I leave her side, the others bring me food and sometimes Angel or Husk will watch over her as I sleep by her side, but I rarely ever sleep if they don't make me. I wait by her side for her to wake up, but as the days pass, so does my hope, slowly.

Lunarspark and Solarstar's love story pt. 2

In the morning, I slowly open my eyes, but I'm quickly wide awake as I see Alastor looming over me," WHAT THE FUCK AL?!" I shout, startled, " Good morning, my dear! Charlie asked me to wake you, she needs you downstairs," Alastor said, completely unfazed by my shouting." Dio mio, there are other ways to wake people up, like lightly tapping them!" I slightly shout again, my hand rubbing my temples to calm me down," Now, where's the fun in that, my dear?" Al says in a mocking tone, then he shifts to his shadow form and leaves my room. Even though he's gone, I flip off the door in irritation.

Eventually, I walk downstairs, still in my clothes from yesterday. I glare at the animatronic that's in my spot on the couch. For a moment, I consider telling her to move, but then I'd have to talk to them, so instead I just lean against the wall of the lobby where Charlie had, for some reason, only the girls in the hotel meet." Al said you wanted to see me?" I say, slightly startling everyone since no one saw me come in."I..uh... Yes, everyone, I think we need a night out, so what does everyone think about a girls' night?!" Charlie says with an excited shriek, making me cover my ears. I nod and say," Sure, why not?" my voice nonchalant. Everyone else murmurs in agreement. "Yeah, I think it could be really fun!" Says Solarstar, who's still in my spot, I roll my eyes hearing that creature agree with me.

~Time Skip~

I'm in my room, getting ready for our night out. I'm wearing a black velvet dress with noodle straps, my hair brushed behind my ears so I can put my earrings on. I look in the mirror once I'm ready. I wonder what Solarstar is gonna wear? Will she like my outfit? I think to myself, but I snap out of it. "Why the hell do I suddenly care what that walking piece of scrap metal thinks?" I think out loud quietly, but my voice has a sharp tone. I walk downstairs and join the other girls, Charlie, Vagge, Niffty, Cherri, and....Solarstar. I blush slightly as I see Solarstar slightly dressed up. I stare at the floor until it goes away, then I walk the rest of the way down the stairs." Is everyone ready?" Charlie asks as the limo pulls up in front of the hotel, and we get in.

The limo drives us to a karaoke place, for some reason, I can't help but occasionally glance at Solarstar's radiant smiling face, making me slightly annoyed with myself. What the hell is happening to me? I think to myself. We enter the karaoke place, and everyone but me goes to sign up. I just picked out a booth for us to sit at and wait for the others. Solarstar is the first one back, she sits across from me, I can tell she's nervous because she won't look at me, instead she says timidly while staring at the table," Why aren't you gonna sing?". I look at her with a look of frustration, not towards her, but to myself for wanting to sit next to her." I don't sing...not anymore," I say sternly. Solarstar stays quiet, not wanting to pry.

After a while, everyone is dancing and singing, while I just sit there in the booth watching Solarstar from a distance, anger at myself starts to burn in my chest, but then Solarstar takes my hands and leads me threw the crowd, making me dance until a small smile forms on my lips and I start slightly giggling, but soon I start thinking of whats happening and I lightly push her away before weaving through the crowd. I reach the door and walk outside, "Merda," I say under my breath as I remember the limo isn't coming back till midnight. I check my phone, and the time reads 10:30 p.m., so I just start walking back to the hotel on my own.

I finally reached the hotel at 11:12 p.m and went to the bar where Husk, thankfully, still was working."Some whiskey on the rocks, please," I say as I sit down on a stool, my elbows slightly holding me up as I lightly lean on them. Husk pours me the drink and slides it towards me. " Rough night?" He asks as he cleans a glass with a towel. I take a long drink until the cup is empty," Yeah, something like that," I say as he already starts pouring me another. By the time the girls get back, I'm drunk and giggling with Husk," I mean, I'd say it's a crush but... is it?" I slur out, unaware that Solarstar is listening from the stairs." She's really pwetty, but no! she a robot," I slur again, on the edge of passing out. " I think I wuv her," I slur before finally passing out on the counter. Solarstar gently picks me up and carries me to my room carefully, not wanting to wake me. She lays me down on my bed and pulls my covers on me, then she hums a light melody to help me go to sleep, she softly kisses my forehead, and quietly leaves my room, but before she does, I mummble in my sleep," I wuv you Solar," making her blush, as she goes to her room Solarstar can't help thinking of what I said and we both fall asleep in our rooms with each other on our minds.

Lunarspark and Solarstar's love story

I'm sitting on the couch in the Hazbin Hotel lobby, scrolling on my phone, my baggy black hoodie and matching jeans slightly scrunched up since my knees are bent on the couch. I glance up slightly as I hear the doors open, I glare as the animatronic being enters the hotel, and then go back to scrolling on my phone. I hear the creature say its name is Solarstar to Charlie as they walk towards me, since, of course, Charlie thinks it's necessary to introduce every newbie to everyone in the hotel. Charlie happily says to me," Sparky, this is Solarstar, she's our newest member! I thought you two might get along since she mentioned something about....hmm... darn it, what was his name again?" Charlie lightly snaps her fingers, trying to think, " Oh! Afton! right?". I sneer as I hear the name. " Well, I'll just let you two talk then. I'll be at the front desk when you're ready for your room, Solarstar," With that, Charlie walks away, leaving me and the animatronic alone together. I look up at Solarstar, then roll my eyes, and look back at my phone," Listen Afton abomination, we aren't friends and most likely never will be, yeah, I knew the prick doesn't mean we're suddenly best buddies though." I say my voice cold and laced with annoyance.

" I-I wasn't thinking that, but why? What did he do to you that was so bad?" Solarstar asks, and I roll my eyes again," I ain't telling you shit, and I don't want to know what happened with you either cause honestly, I couldn't. Care. Less." I say with the same tone, emphasizing the last four words." Oh...o-okay." Solarstar says with disappointment in her voice, "Sorry for bothering you, Sparky." She says, my gaze shoots a glare at her, and I speak through gritted teeth," Do. Not. Call me. Sparky. My name is Lunarspark, and you would be wise to call me that unless you want to be double dead." I say firmly, my jaw still clenched tight as Solarstar quickly nods," S-Sorry, Lunarspark..." She quickly turns and speed walks to the front desk to get her room key, and I just go back to scrolling on my phone.

I slightly watch as Solarstar goes up to her room," Fuck," I say quietly under my breath as I see her room is the one right next to mine. After a few hours, I start getting tired and go up to my room. I sneer at her door before entering my room and lying on my bed, not even bothering to change, and I slowly drift off to sleep.
