I want to write. I have ideas. I open document. I type four of the worst sentences ever created in the english language. I daydream the rest of the scene. I close document.

here's one of mine:

She smiles,"Yes, for you." when I don't say anything she continues, "I knew how happy it'd make you to have someone who's watched it to talk to about, so yeah, I did it for you...but I didn't like it, the movie I mean."

I blink, twice. She just single-handedly made my heart almost leap out of my ribcage or chest or wherever it is and also made it sink in embarrassment or disappointment—I don't know, but she made it sink.

"Yeah? Thank you and I'm sorry?" Does that sound petty? I hope it does and doesn't.

I want to kiss her and I don't know, yell at her? Oh my god, I'm not okay.

i like to believe that every writer has that line/s or scene/s that they haven't written yet because it doesn't take place until later but they know it's going in their story.

i've been told that i'm really good at using the "show don't tell" technique and i take so much pride in it until i have no choice but to tell and i realise my description skills suck so i sit there staring at the screen while i try to figure out how to describe the weather

i feel like people forget the meaning of "fiction" when they make comments like "oh my god this doesn't even happen in real life" like bethany that's why it's called fiction man keep up.

the plot: dark and brooding character with a haunted past starts smiling more because they’re in love with someone kind and gentle and everyone who knows the former notices the change

me, blubbering through the tears: TH-THEY THEY ARE DISCOVERING THAT THE WORLD IS NOT SO B-B-BLEAK EVER SINCE THEY’VE BEEN TOUCHED B-BY THE LOVE AND KI-KINDNESS OF THE OTHER

am i the only one who wonders how the writer was feeling while reading a certain scene like yesterday i was reading a cute scene and was giggling and squealing and shit then i wondered like "is this how the writer felt while writing it?"
