Mimic was found under my bed on June 20th, lethargic and in pain...he screamed when we scooped him up to check him over. We rushed him to the vet...he has a urinary tract blockage. He is currently (3 am June 21st) stable after severe complications.

Aline is gone by that point, and if Maelle can gommage members of the Painted family, it stands to reason that he can as well, so he could have gommaged Painted Verso too.

you ever think about how when Renoir did his mass gommage he left all of Verso's creations alone? How when he goes to start erasing things he only goes for Lumiere, which was Aline's creation?

I wonder if, in the end, he would actually have been able to make himself erase those last glimmers of his son.

I sat with Clair Obscur for a while and now I am ready to talk about it.

This is ABSOLUTELY a game I needed desperately over the last year.

My dad passed away in February 2024, and it shattered my world.

The first two months, I was Aline. Living in my dad's world, wearing his clothes, driving his cars...doing ANYTHING that made me feel like he was still there.

But life moves on. My now ex drifted away, and my now fiances stayed. Time passed.

Staying wasn't going to help me move forward.

I destroyed the Canvas.

I used the money he left me and bought a house. I'm getting married again.

My dad was a biker, and my friend is learning to ride. I feel okay enough to let her have his leathers to protect her, to let that part of him go and carry on his legacy forward.

I'm finally picking up the pieces.

Playing Clair Obscur helped me process some of the things surrounding my dad's death that I was holding onto and...it hurts, but the hurt is real and can heal now.
