I really wish I could be part of an art community like the past but the internet climate's just not the same.. and hasn't been for a very long time. Back in 2018-19 I was already sadened by this, since then I have gotten into new communities and fandoms yes but since those have been dying for a while too I have been reminded again. I mean I am probably part to blame because I myself cannot bring myself to participate in art communities (on Discord) much, but also nothing compels me to. And most of the ones I joined are kinda inactive. Idk it just feels sad to be on the internet nowadays, where's the excitement. Talking to my small friend group is the only thing keeping me going and I'm glad I have good friends, but lowkey when they're busy or asleep I feel sad again </3 I feel like I need to have more background interactions to stay sane.....

Oh to be productive art wise like I was last year.. but now I work 42 hours a week. The only reason I could even draw so much last year was bc I was basically unemployed with no school (I was in an internship yes but I only went to the hospital like twice a week and barely did anything) like I wish I could balance art and work more.. but its so so hard. I just don't feel fulfilled without consitent drawing.. sigh.

Hi! I legitimately thought your works were traditional watercolour and then saw the SAI tag and was like "???" gongeous ,.,,.

I hope it's not too much to ask, but do you have any tricks to get it looking like that?

here's a post with the textures I use + a tutorial is linked there too! I often use too many for a single drawing, also ik Pixiv can be confusing to search in but click the tags under the links I sent to find more stuff! hope this helps :D

Also I get all my textures from pixiv! gonna link the ones I use the most, but just a recommendation, since I don't understand Japanese either I just look through the tags under any post there. So click on the tags for the ones I'm gonna send to find more stuff! Also how I use them is a paste them and set the layer to overlay, often I change things like the colour brightness and saturation etc. Hope this helps!
