A Virgo’s Review
Who doesn’t love a good murder mystery?  I came across this series by W.L. Knightly, by happenstance while scrolling through free ibooks. The name Zodiac Killers automatically caught my eye, but the story isn’t what I expected. This is a thirteen book series with each book focusing on a different person connected to a Zodiac sign. The first book, titled The Zodiac Killer, has nothing to do with the real life zodiac killer. It is the intriguing story of a detective with a secretive past and a new case that could bring those secrets to light. Of course the first book is mostly the set up for the rest of the series, but this book will pull you in and leave you wanting more. To add to the intrigue, we get to see the story through several different character’s points of view; each chapter adding more explanation to the story, but also adding more mystery to who the real killer is and why they are killing in the first place. It is a bit on the mature side, but if you’re not sensitive to foul language or triggering details, this book is for you.  As always, if you have read this book or the entire series, let me know your opinions on it/them. If not, go check it out, its worth the read. Happy reading!

A Simple Review
After I graduated high school (a whole five years ago), I went through this phase where I could not get into any book that I tried to read. After constantly failing to finish an entire book, I stopped trying. I ended up forcing myself to read A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell, after falling in love with the movie. It took me a little longer than normal but after finishing it, I was able to start reading again. This book had me on edge the entire way through. You never knew what was going to happen next. Even after watching the movie, I was still able to be taken by surprise. Now I know the movies can’t get everything right, but these characters are a lot darker than they were portrayed as. Some parts to me were even a little disturbing. *spoiler alert* The book has a different ending than the movie. To say this is a mystery novel would be an understatement. This is a story about two strong, and slightly disturbed women who fight for what they want no matter the consequences. If you haven’t already, go check out this book and put a little mystery in your life. If you have read this book, feel free to share your opinions. Happy reading!
