Hi! I found out today that people actually become magical girls in this reality. as a reality shifter, I wanted to ask, is it possible to be a sailor scout somehow?? Idk how that would work considering the plot(s) of sailor moon but. that was my dream since childhood and my 9 year old self must be jumping from joy rn because she can become a magical girl indeed.
I hope this isn’t a silly question but upon my few hours of research I haven’t come across a sailor scout blog! Thank you 🩷
Heya! Of course you can become a sailor scout in this reality or in another one!
If you're worried about the canon plot of Sailor Moon not aligning with this reality, remember that this is your script and your concept, not the OG Sailor Moon creators or anyone elses. It's 100% valid to rewrite canon to your magical tastes, or you can even make a new team of sailor scouts that isn't in the canon!
I actually see a lot of people with canon show concepts do this- rewriting plots to fit with their concept. As someone who does this in their current concept ((so sorry undertale yellow)), it is 100% valid!!
Tldr: it's possible and it's valid to rewrite the canon to fit your magical hero concept 💖

Fun Magical Things To Do When You’re Bored 💖
Hi everyone! So sorry for the long break in-between posts, I’ve been pretty busy hosting my longterm roleplay and gearing up for my 17th birthday (which is in two days from now!!). To compensate for you guys, here’s a shorter post to give me some time to write longer ones in the future! This was requested by you guys on Mahou Planet- here’s a list of fun magical things to do when you’re bored!
Tumblr media
💗 THE LIST
Make your magical hero self in different dress up apps! I posted a couple of examples on my last post, but there’s probably more dress up games you can find. It doesn’t have to be 100% accurate- as long as it’s for fun! Here’s my magical hero outfit (at least as accurate as I could get it) in Doll Divine:
Tumblr media
Go location scouting for possible fight locations in your town. This can be done by either driving around (if you have a car/gas) or by walking past possible attack sites. This can also be a fun time to come up with strategies to take down your monsters! If you have a team, you can take them with you. You could also draw team formations for battles.
Make a Mahou hideout! This sounds a lot easier said than done. The easiest method I have is making a blanket fort and decorating it with magical items. There are tons of blanket fort tutorials on YouTube. The easiest way I can imagine doing this is connecting a blanket over two tables, then putting cushions and pillows underneath. You can always make this more detailed if you plan for your hideout to be permanent. I’ve also seen forts like this be done in closets, under desks, etc.
Go shopping for magical items! This is less financially friendly than the other stuff I have on this list, but window shopping/online shopping is just as fun! I recommend going to cheaper stores like Dollar Tree or Five and Below if you want to save money but still be able to look for magical items. The Dollar Tree in my town has sequins, gems, bottles, etc. for crafts. I haven’t stepped foot in a Five and Below in a WHILE but I heard it’s a good option! Auctions and thrift stores are also fun to go into. I got a Sailor Venus figurine from an auction a couple of weeks back!
Make a magical vibe playlist! This one is pretty self explanatory- making a playlist on either Spotify or YouTube that encapsulates your magical hero vibes.
Make a magical Pinterest board! Also self explanatory and done with Pinterest, but you can also do this physically by printing and gluing pictures together.
Roleplay! My personal favorite when I’m bored (considering roleplaying is my hyperfixation atm). The easiest way I like to roleplay is by making my desired self and my magical hero form as bots on TupperBox. Then, I go into a Mahou Planet roleplay channel and just roleplay. I also roleplay a little on ROBLOX as my teammates! You could even roleplay in real life, which would be fun if you have any irl teammates! I recommend joining Mahou Planet if you’re looking for roleplays to indulge in. I sometimes host public roleplays!
Watch a new magical hero anime! Self explanatory as well. You can look for recommendations on YouTube or ask around for some good ones to watch. My personal recommendation is the Girls x Heroine series! It’s free to view on PrettyTrad and YouTube (Miracle Tunes is subbed there). It’s a live action magical girl series marketed to kids, but I have just as fun watching it as an (almost) adult. Another YouTube series I reccommend is Rainbow Bubblegem! It’s a Korean animated magical girl show and another one of my hyperfixations. A couple of episodes are subbed on YouTube.
DIY your transformation device! Ties in with #4, and this can be even cheaper if you make this with household items. In a older concept I had, I did a DIY of my magical compact with clay and a compact mirror I got from Dollar Tree. If you intend on having a physical transformation device, I recommend doing this! It’ll help in the longrun!
Start a physical magical hero journal! You can make a journal yourself using paper and staples, or buy a journal and decorate it. Writing physically is a pretty good way to pass time when you’re bored. You could also make your magical hero journal your script!
For all my bakers and hungry people out there, make a meal based off of your magical hero self! This can be anything, from pastries to a five-course dinner. It doesn’t have to be anything restaurant worthy or fancy. Even buying a pre-made meal that reminds you of your magical hero self would be nice! A bonus would to be charging the meal with good energy before you eat it! My personal meal would probably be macaroni and cheese (my comfort food) and rainbow sherbet ice cream with sprinkles. Speaking of cheese, happy national cheese day :’)
Do a random good deed! Donate to a charity, hold the door for someone, offer to help with chores, volunteer, etc. Sometimes, you don’t have to think much about what good deed you want to do, as long as you help others!
Start a magical hero blog! You can do this on Wattpad, here on tumblr, or anywhere you can think of to share your magical journey with others! It’s easier said than done having to remember to post (I’m a prime example of that /hj) but it’s also a fun way to interact with others in the community!
Change your phone/device theme to a magical hero theme! Bonus points if it’s your magical hero theme. This would be a cute way to let others know you’re a magical hero, and even better, have a chance to meet another in real life!
Join Mahou Planet! If you’re bored, and have Discord, joining my magical hero server is a great way to pass time! Wether you want to talk in general, bully Mudae, or voice chat, Mahou Planet business is a nice way to pass time. We’d appreciate it if you joined- we’re close to reaching 100 members!
Tumblr media
That’s it for this pretty short post. Of course, if you have any other ideas or suggestions that others can do when they’re bored, drop them below! Reblogs also appreciated 💫 see you guys' next post!

Advanced Mahou Outfit Guide 💫
Hi guys! I hope you all are excited for more posts to come– AP exams are over, and soon school will be out for the year! To those who have upcoming school exams, or are in the final stretch of school, good luck! We believe in you :)
Also, another reminder to join Mahou Planet! We have a couple of Summer events we’re planning, gamenights, challenges, etc! It’d be lovely to have you join our endeavors ^^
Now that that’s over, are you guys ready for today’s guide?
Tumblr media
👗 INTRODUCTION TO MAHOU FASHION
If you’re no stranger to the world of magical heroes, you’ll know that they have different outfits whenever they transform. Strikingly different outfits compared to how most of us dress on the norm. Advanced magical heroes will likely know what they’re searching for in terms of outfits, however, beginner magical heroes may not know where to start– that’s what this guide is for! In this guide, I’ll be discussing a couple of tips and tricks to create your magical hero outfit!
Tumblr media
👠 HOW DO I GET STARTED?
To get started, I recommend following some of the advice that I shared on my concept basics post– especially with making lists. I recommend making bulleted lists of what you want/don’t want, specifically in outfits. For example, writing down “I want to wear a skirt” and “I don’t want heels” already narrows down a LOT of possibilities you have for an outfit!
Another recommendation is to decide a couple of concept themes before you create an outfit, so you can correlate your concept with your outfit. Knowing the basics can help you more than you think– know your desired motifs, colors, etc.
One more important tip, think about what you are comfortable wearing and what you’d like to embody as a magical hero. You can experiment with this by playing dress-up in your bedroom, fitting rooms, etc! Experiment with what you feel comfortable wearing in real life, so you’ll get an idea of what you’d like to wear while doing magic. If you can’t do this, then think about what you would like to wear as a magical hero. Maybe you want to try a new style, or (my personal motivation) defy societal norms/the “dress code” you were raised with. Basically, go out there and experiment!
Tumblr media
💄 BRAINSTORMING IDEAS
Now that you have these new ideas layed out, it’s time to brainstorm! Go out in the real world or on the wonderful world wide web and search for some outfit ideas! Here are some helpful sources for finding outfits:
Pinterest is a STAPLE for inspiration. Some keywords I recommend are “magical girl”, “magical girl oc”, “magical girl oc design”, “(your aesthetic)core outfit”, “runway outfit” and “stage outfit”!
Research some magical hero animes/games for outfit ideas! Some I recommend looking at are Madoka Magica (more specifically Magia Record since there’s like 1000 magical girls there), Precure, Girls x Heroine, Cocoppa Play, and Pripara!
tumblr (this platform teehee) is also a nice place to search for inspiration! You can use the same keywords above, just with tumblr hashtags!
Play around with dress-up apps like Gacha Life 2, Dolldivine, Everskies, Picrew, and ROBLOX (I know a couple of avatar editor games, if you want me to drop them, just ask!)
Go window shopping (or shopping if you have the money) and look at magical hero-esque outfits! You can go thrifting, to the mall, online shopping, or look at other people’s everyday outfits!
Tumblr media
🎨 DESIGNING THE OUTFIT: SECTION 1
Now that you have inspiration and plenty of ideas to go off of, it’s time to DESIGN! You can design your outfit with any method, from creating collages off of images, to using dress-up games, drawing your design, commissioning an artist, there’s endless possibilities!
The only method I recommend you don’t use is AI art. AI art not only takes credit away from actual artists, but AI art is environmentally harmful and the algorithm searches every image on the internet, including medical records and illegal and problematic images. Mahou Planet has a rule against using AI art: “There will be no AI art usage in this server. This rule is non-negotiable. Accidentally sending AI art without knowing is understandable and can be corrected by deleting the message, however, do not promote the usage of/use AI art.” I will not be willing to argue with anyone about the morality of AI art– know it is not supported by us. There are many better alternatives that can get you a better design, and most importantly- it’s a design that you (for the most part) create yourself!
There are lots of different factors to consider for your outfit design, such as whether you have teammates, uniforms, shared outfit motifs, outfit rules, etc. We’ll go over those in this section!
TEAMMATES
If you have teammates, it may be a good idea to correlate your outfits together to show that you’re a team.
For example, the magical girls in each Precure season have shared outfit motifs to show their team harmony. I think the Precure season that does this well is GoPri. The Cures in Go Princess Precure each have a tiara with a charm representing their outfits motif, princess-like dresses, a back bow, and a golden gem on their outfits. You can easily look at them and tell that they are a team.
Tumblr media
Another example of this is of Winx (specifically S1)! The simplicity of their designs, the glittery fabric, the small wings, and the boots are all correlated, even though the girls themselves all stand out with unique takes on these rules.
Tumblr media
Something to take from these magical girls is that they each have something to tell that they’re a team. If you are a team and want you guys to have shared outfit motifs, make sure that someone can look at a picture of your team and can tell that you guys work together.
A simpler solution to this is uniforms! Uniforms are basically a simpler way to coordinate your teammate outfits. One of the most famous examples of this is Sailor Moon: their outfits, besides some accessories, are the same. The only difference is the color scheme. This is easy for those who don’t want to design unique outfits, or want outfits to stand out in terms of color.
Here’s a more simplified list of the pros and cons of having uniforms VS unique outfits:
Uniforms
Easy to design
Takes little to no thought
Colors easy to pick out
Can be either simple or complex
Colors may be hard to remember for each member
Limited freedom of expression
Unique Outfits
Harder to design, but a more satisfied finish
Outfit and colors may be hard to remember for each member
Usually complex but some can be simple
Freedom of expression, or much freedom if there are still rules
Harder to coordinate
As you can see, I have a little bit more pros under uniforms. However, do what you want with your designs! I personally always go for unique outfits– some of the unique outfits I’ve seen in the magical hero community look STUNNING!
If you want to have unique outfits or uniforms, a good thing to implement is outfit rules. Rules are basically what you can and can’t do in a design. When I’m designing teammates, I have rules listed under DO, DO NOT, and IT DEPENDS categories.
DO is of stuff you can change, add, modify, etc. For example: you can have a unique hairstyle.
DO NOT is stuff you cannot change, no exceptions! Example: you must keep a bow on your chest.
IT DEPENDS is stuff you can modify, but may be limited. Example: You can change the shape of a skirt, but it must keep white ruffles and be in the color of your theme color.
These rules can vary based on your kind of magical hero and what you want for your team. Remember: you are the designer! Design to your heart's content and what you think looks good for you and your team! 💫
SOLO
If you’re going solo, this section may be a bit more helpful than what I said in the teammates section. Solo outfits usually apply to just yourself, so you have so much more freedom in designing your outfit. When making an outfit, don’t just focus on what looks good. Remember to design an outfit that makes you comfortable, and you only!
If you want to have teammates in the future, or if you need more guidance on creating outfits, then it’s recommended to create outfit rules, just in case. Or if you’d like 100% freedom on outfit designs, do what you want! It’s your outfit!
THEME COLOR
Choosing a theme color is easier said than done. I see most magical heroes choose their favorite colors as their theme colors, and I have also seen magical heroes put more thought in their theme colors. Do what you want! Even if you don’t want a theme color or want multiple, you are still a valid magical hero!
For color palettes for an outfit, you can go on Pinterest for colors, or go to coolors.co to generate color palettes! A cool thing about coolors is that you can save color palettes for your magical form!
MOTIFS
Motifs are also important to decide on your outfit! To decide outfit motifs, repeating elements in your outfit, think about the theme your magical hero wants to display, or a moral lesson you’d like for whoever you’re fighting/the general public to learn. If you’re a magical hero of love, you can opt for adding heart shapes and motifs to your outfit. If you’re a magical hero of wishes, add some shooting stars on your outfit! It goes on and on for any motifs, it’s all up to you to determine how you use them.
Tumblr media
🎨 DESIGNING THE OUTFIT: SECTION 2
For this section, I’ll go over the more detailed aspects of your design, from top to bottom! I’ll give advice on designing outfits, as well as some practical tips for your magical design.
HAIR
Probably the most famous– magical heroes are notorious for their crazy hair. Most magical heroes you see have long hair, either down or in some updo, and in the color of their theme color or an accent color. Some magical girls have their hair be a variation of their natural hair. You can have any kind of hair you’d like as a magical hero! Here are some of my tips:
Make sure your hair won’t hinder your fighting abilities- it won’t get caught in your outfit, you won’t trip on it, etc. Also, make sure your villains can’t grab your hair to pull you/catch you off guard! This is a common fighting technique and I’ve seen this absolutely destroy people in school fights. If crazy freshman can do it, your villains likely will as well.
Don’t worry about your hair being “easily recognizable” if you’re keeping your natural hair. You can always script in that no one recognizes you or use magic to ensure no one associates you with your secret identity.
As for personal recommendations, I recommend having your hair out of your face. I have bangs in real life and in my magical girl form; sometimes they’re a pain, especially on hot days. It’d kind of hinder your ability to see in your magical form. A good counter to this would be scripting the thickness or thinness of your bangs if you plan on having any, or to script that you see better once you transform (this is good for people with glasses!)
Also recommend to script that you don’t sweat when you transform. Sweat + hair = pain.
Choose a hairstyle you can fight in and feel comfortable with– if you’re not sure where to start, think about hairstyles you would like to try or hairstyles that flatter you. Even hairstyles you wear in real life would be a good start!
Don’t worry about damaging your hair with the color you choose, I’d like to imagine magic changes your hair color, and is completely damage-free! (Really wish this were the case in real life 😭)
HEADGEAR
I know a couple of magical heroes who plan on having hats or SOMETHING on their head in their magical hero form. If you’re interested in having headgear in your magical hero form, here are some precautions and tips:
I don’t want to say it’s a hindrance to have a hat (because I literally wear an ushanka in my magical hero form 💀), but try to find some way it’ll stay on your head while fighting. Unless you don’t anticipate doing crazy backflips, I’d recommend scripting that your headgear won’t fall off even in the craziest situations– or even better, it can only be taken off by your hands only.
Also script that your hat (or better: your entire mh outfit) is the exact size for you, and grows as you grow in civilian form!
Try to find some practicality in it! I see magical heroes go for goggles to replace their civilian form glasses. Some magical heroes wear hats to keep the sun out of their eyes. I had an old concept where my magic came from a top hat (if you know, you know). Hats don’t just have to be fashionable, but I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted something cool just to finish off your outfit.
If you’re looking for hat designs, a good game I recommend for inspiration is Genshin Impact! The creativity the characters have for their headgear is amazing, and I can imagine some magical hero designs based off of just hats alone. Pinterest is also a good place to look!
TOPS
Tops! This is one of my favorite parts of designing! Designing tops is always really fun. Here’s some advice:
I recommend looking up necklines or just pretty tops in general for inspiration!
Also recommend to have a built-in bra with your top, wearing one separately would be a hassle in my opinion.
One of my biggest pet peeves with strapless tops is it falling down every 5 seconds, so if you have a strapless top, make sure you script that it won’t fall while you’re fighting.
This is the same for sleeves in general! Script they won’t fall down.
If you have anything tied in your magical form, like ribbons, script that they won’t come out or loose.
Make sure you choose something you’re comfortable with! Script that you’re comfortable in your top, no matter what kind of top you’re going to wear in your magical form.
PSA for magical heroes who want gloves: script that you can use your phone while wearing them. I hate wearing gloves and then having to take them off just to use my phone :(
If you aren’t planning on wearing gloves, script that you don’t leave fingerprint traces on surfaces you touch, just for security reasons!
I’d hate to continue the “YOU DON’T NEED PAINTED NAILS IF YOU’RE WEARING GLOVES DUHHH!!!!” debate, do what you want with your nails! Pinterest has gorgeous nail designs! If you are wearing gloves, I’d recommend making the color of your nails change the natural color of your nails. Long nails would probably be more of a liability than shorter ones, or you could script your nails are immune to breaking, getting damaged, falling off, etc.
A smart idea would be incorporating your outfit into some kind of use with your magic. For example, if your main weapon is guns, then I’d recommend keeping ammunition on your body, on a sling or a belt. This takes a bit more thought to be put into it, but it’s so worth it and makes a great design in the end!
BOTTOMS
Bottoms are also fun to design! In my opinion, these are the most versatile. There are different directions you can take for bottoms, SO many different directions! Here’s my advice and suggestions:
Go for what makes you the most comfortable! You are 100% a valid magical hero if you go for pants or shorts over a skirt and vice versa! It’s your outfit! If someone has a problem with how you present your magical self, they can kiss your- 💥💥/JOKE /ok but fr ignore people who have problems with your outfit they’re just insecure (/srs)
If you are planning on wearing a skirt, please script safety shorts or opt for a skort instead! I don’t think I should explain why flashing people while you’re fighting is not only embarrassing but dangerous since there are terrible and disgusting weirdos out there.
If you’re wearing socks, script that they won’t slide down (another pet peeve of mine)
If you want to wear heels, or if your shoes are high heeled, PLEASE script that you know how to fight in heels and won’t fall or trip! Been there done that, it’s not fun. Also scripting that your feet won’t get blisters is a good precaution too!
Also, if you’re wearing a back bow/something on the back/a cape, or anything you’re scared will catch up into something while moving, script that you’re not going to get stuck or nothing will catch your clothes while you’re moving.
MAKEUP
I feel like makeup is a less commonly talked about thing when it comes to magical hero design. I think makeup is also important to consider when you’re transformed! Here are some considerations:
Make sure your makeup is sweat-proof, sensory friendly, and won’t wipe off or get ruined while fighting. Emphasis on sensory friendly, I avoid makeup in civilian form because foundation is absolutely PAINFUL.
Search for makeup styles you like, or go off of makeup you wear or would like to wear in real life! You can go for natural makeup, glamorous makeup, stage makeup, etc.
Royale High on ROBLOX is a good game to look for makeup styles! The makeup in faces (to my knowledge) is free to use! Everskies is also a good game to experiment with makeup!
Tear proof makeup works as well, just in case you end up crying in your magical hero form.
Tumblr media
🎤 GENERAL TIPS
Keep in mind the environment you’ll be fighting in may change depending on where you go. You may fight in the rain, in snow, on the beach, etc. It’d be a nice idea to accommodate your outfit for such conditions, or to script that your outfit is weather-proof.
Speaking of accommodations, if you’re disabled, it’s always a great idea to script accommodations for your outfit! You can script that your outfit is sensory friendly, isn’t itchy, and (my favorite) there are no tags on your magical outfit.
I also like to script that my magical outfit is able to regulate heat/coolness! This can work for any outfit, even if you can’t find the logic behind it. It’s magic! That’s all the logic you need!
Make sure you’re able to find some way you can fight in your outfit. Even if you don’t plan on fighting, it’s a good precaution!
Kind of TMI, but if you get periods, script that your outfit is bleed-proof. This is also good if you end up getting hurt in your outfit. Also scripting that your outfit’s immune to tearing or getting injured is a great idea!
A fun way to experiment with how your magical hero outfit may look is to take a full body picture of yourself and then draw over it with your magical hero clothes. You can also dress in aspects of your magical hero outfit in real life with items you have at home (ex. wearing a top similar to the top in your magical hero form) to get a feel of what you’ll be wearing.
If you need design help, I suggest joining Mahou Planet! There are great magical hero designs there and talented designers willing to help you! Searching for inspiration, meshing different pictures of outfits together, and asking friends for help are also valid methods!
Tumblr media
💫 CONCLUSION
In conclusion, there are about a gajillion different ways to create a magical outfit. There’s not one right or wrong way to design, or a “bad” or “good” design: what matters is that you’re comfortable in it and that it’s an outfit you love! Outfit changes are 100% valid, and I’d even recommend scripting variations of your outfit for weather/personal reasons!
At the end of the day, designing should be a fun process. I hope you guys learned a thing or two from this post, and have fun designing your magical hero outfit! Remember to join Mahou Planet to have a chance to choose the next article I write!
See you guys next post!

Thank you so much! I kinda need to fix the verification system as well (the unverified role doesn't get removed like it should), so thank you again for reminding me to do that! :)

hihi! um,, so sorry if this is a dumb question but,,, can you have multiple concepts? and if so, how would that work?
Hi! Of course you can have multiple concepts- I've been in the same boat as you and I highly recommend the idea if you have a lot of concept ideas and feel dedicated to more than one!
I used to have three concepts myself before deciding to merge the three together. Multiple concepts, in my experience, usually share a couple of themes and similarities together. But if you wanted, say, a Precure and a PMMM concept at the same time, it could work!
The only things I'd warn you about are 1. the workload, 2. the danger, and 3. loopholes.
1. Having multiple concepts may mean having multiple sets of villains you need to fight. Make sure you're prepared for that kind of workload, unless the villains are shared throughout all 3 of your concepts.
2. More villains to fight = more monsters of the day = more danger. Same with #1, magical life may get riskier and unless you want to completely devote your free time to fighting evil, I would likely recommend having shared villains throughout concepts.
3. Loopholes/plotholes. This is more of my nit-picky thing, but I'd be careful if you plan to pair certain concepts with others. For instance, pairing a PMMM concept with a Precure concept. You have a Soul Gem and a transformation device with a familiar. If said Soul Gem breaks (if you're still scripting that in), you.. well, die. That would mean your Precure concept would kinda go unfufilled unless you're planning to finish that goal first.
And another note, make sure you really want multiple concepts for yourself. Personally, I find keeping track of multiple concepts hard. I usually fall out of interest with them after a week or two.
Multiple concepts is a fun concept in itself, and I would recommend this for those who feel like they can take the challenge! However, it's going to be hard balancing normal life and multiple concepts at the same time. My suggestions are to have each concept be a light load, or make these multiple concepts backups to a main concept. I said in a concept document that backup concepts may naturally fall out of your interest to make way for a main concept that fits you. That could be bound to happen if you choose that route. Also, be wary of the dangers you risk combining concepts in your magical hero life.
Tldr: yes you can! Just stay wary, be careful, and have fun 🌙

Basic Concept Guide 💫
Hi everyone! Welcome to a (long due) concept guide! I hope you guys are excited– I LOVE creating concept guides!
Tumblr media
Before we begin:
Tomorrow is Mahou Planets 3rd anniversary! Tomorrow, we plan on hosting a fun gamenight to celebrate three years of Mahou Planet! I recommend joining the server if you’d like to participate!
So sorry about the general inactivity! AP exams are coming up and I’ve been cramming for my AP exams I take soon. To those taking AP exams, good luck! I’ll be taking the AP US History and the AP Precalc exams. May the spirits who miraculously gave me a 5 on my AP Government exam be with us :)
Now, to the guide!
Tumblr media
🩷 WHAT IS A CONCEPT?
A concept is a general idea of what kind of magical hero you want to be. This could vary from canon media, such as Precure or Madoka Magica, to a completely original idea– or maybe both to some extent. Concepts build the foundation of what kind of magical hero you want to be. A concept can be as detailed or as vague as you want. Concepts are typically linear: you’re a specific type of magical hero with a specific aesthetic and goal.
There are different types of magical heroes that can get incredibly specific and in-detail. Luckily for you guys, I’m willing to hold back on my worldbuilding skills until some later time.
There is no right or wrong way to create a concept. I’m sort of expecting those who are already interested in creating original characters or create stories to have an easier time with this than those who have zero experience with character creation. I’d like to keep concept creation simple as this is a relatively new account with beginner level guides. So, I’ll do as such in this tutorial.

🧡 HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH MAKING A CONCEPT?
Again, there is no right or wrong way to make a concept. I can’t exactly tell you what works and what doesn’t, because what works for me may not work for you. Here are a couple of methods I used in creating my magical hero concept, as well as some methods I have seen in the past:
One way I created my concept is by narrowing down exactly what I want as a magical hero. Start by asking yourself questions. These can be as vague or as specific as you’d like. These will begin narrowing down what kind of magical hero you would like to be, what you’ll be fighting, what you’ll look like, etc. A couple of questions to consider are:
Would I like to take on a pre-existing concept, something completely original, or maybe a mix of both?
What will I be fighting for? What important societal or spiritual values will I uphold as a magical hero? Because of this, what do I fight?
If I’m not going to be physically fighting evil, how will I combat the forces stopping said value from existing?
Do I want teammates, or do I want to work by myself?
How do I receive my magical abilities? Am I born with them? Are they granted to me by a familiar? Is there a higher power in my concept that gives me them? Or is there just no explanation?
Speaking of, will I have a familiar/mascot in my concept? Or will I just figure out things on my own?
What aesthetic am I trying to harbor as a magical hero? Does this aesthetic fit in with my civilian self, or is it something out of the ordinary?
What do I want to look like when I transform?
What weapon or weapons will I be using? What kind of powers am I going to possess? Will these be effective in upholding my values?
What role will I play in helping other magical heroes in the future? Will I be a fighter, support, or maybe both? Am I a frontliner or a backliner?
Just by asking these questions, you can already get pretty specific details about your concept. Continue asking these questions about as many prompts as you want (secondary forms, transformation device, etc.) If you need any help or more detailed questions to ask about your magical hero self, you can send a ask or join our Discord and ping Georgia (me) or any other members with the okay with pings role for help!
Another way to create concepts is to create a DO and DO NOT list. We’ve likely done these in school, creating diagrams or comparison charts. This is the same thing, and can be applied to even the smallest details in your concept.
I recommend either making this list in a word processor (Docs, Notion, Microsoft Word) or writing things down physically. Basically, you make a two-row column. Title a section DOs and the other DO NOTs. Then, write down what you want and don’t want as a magical hero. If you’re not sure what you want, then start with what you don’t want and vise versa.
For example, if I’m starting with the DO NOT side of the list, I’d probably write something like “I don’t want my concept to be dark.” That already wipes out a lot of dark magical hero shows, themes found in dark concepts, etc. I could also write something like “I do want my weapon to be a wand.” That already decides your weapon. You can be as detailed or vague as you want for this list.
Eventually, you’ll look at each side of the list and compare. Write down what you’ve learned, for example: I have a fun and lighthearted concept, and my weapon is a wand. Just from this statement alone, I can already envision a lot of concept ideas!
A more common method I’ve seen is by taking inspiration from different media. Let’s say you really like the outfits used in Madoka Magica for the Holy Quintent, and want to use them for your team. Then, you get the idea of having a Precure styled backstory: a kingdom gets overrun by evil rulers and it’s your teams job to restore it. You basically repeat the process with more medias that interest you, and BAM! A concept!
It’s an easier method, and it’s also a nice method if you’d like to incorporate your interests into your concept. If you have any hyperfixations or special interests, I’d recommend adding those into your concept to ensure you stay interested in your concept.
Tumblr media
Some more ideas to create a concept:
Search for some inspiration for your concept on YouTube, Pinterest, tumblr, etc.
Ask your friends what may fit you the most as a magical hero (if they’re unaware of magical heroes, you can ask them more unsuspecting questions like “What powers do you think I would have?”)
Get a reading on what your concept could be! A couple of Mahou Planet members are able to provide free readings, myself included!
Join someone else’s existing concept, could be a friend or an existing magical hero show
The most important takeaway from this is to have fun! Like I said before, there’s no right or wrong way to make a concept. What matters is that it’s something you enjoy, something you’re willing to fight for, and something you love! 💞

can i still be a magical hero if i dont pshift or intend to? /genuine question
Of course you can! Magical heroes don't have to always transform and fight crime and do crazy backflips! Doing magic to help others or just magic in general can still classify you as a magical hero :)
I think a pretty good example of this is Ojamajo Doremi (or Magical Doremi if you wanna talk about the dub). They do transform, but the witches use their magic to help people around their town. I think it's a good example for more witchy-styled magical heroes or magical heroes who just want to use magic and don't intend to pshift.

Tldr: yes, anyone can be a magical hero, transformation or not :)

Basic Magical Hero Terminology 🌙
Hi everyone! Welcome to Mahou Planet's first guide on our tumblr page!
Before I begin, I'd just like to give a couple of regards:
I forgot to clarify that this main account is almost exclusively ran by the owner of Mahou Planet, Georgia. Unless stated otherwise, Georgia is usually the one writing these posts. I just like talking in 3rd person since I want to sound a bit more professional yk?? (psst say hi to me in the comments im so cool)
If you want to hear more about the staff and members of Mahou Planet, please consider following our secondary blog: @mahouplanetstaff !
I'd also like to promote our Discord server a little more. Not only will you get to interact with our amazing community, I also do polls there for our members so they can have a voice in deciding what I write next! If you want to participate or even request ideas of what to add in my tutorials, consider joining Mahou Planet! (as long as you're 13+) The join link is in our bio and pinned post.
Now that that's out of the way, let's jump into the guide!

✨️ TAKING IT SLOW
Wether you're a beginner magical hero who has no idea what they're getting into, or an advanced magical hero who has likely heard these terms in their sleep, magical hero terminology is important to know when you're in the magical hero community. Without understanding some basic terms, you'll have no idea what magical heroes on Wattpad, Discord, etc. are talking about when they post. Let's take things slow for this first post and go over some terminology!
Tumblr media
🌙 TERMINOLOGY
Magical Hero (MH) -> A magical hero is.. well.. what you're becoming!
"BUT GEORGIA!!! WHY DO YOU USE MAGICAL HERO IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE MAGICAL GIRL!!!" You can use magical girl as well, a lot of people in the community use that term as an umbrella term. There are some people, however, who want to become a magical girl but do not identify as a girl. For instance, I may be afab, but I identify as genderfluid. I use both magical girl and magical hero, but that may not be the case for others!! Some may use magical boy, magical enby, etc. That doesn't make them any less of a magical hero!
Concept -> A basic explanation of a concept is the type of a magical hero you're becoming. Magical heroes can be from any show, franchise, even your own original concepts! Some of the common ones I see are Precure, Madoka Magica, and Sailor Moon, though personally I've seen a lot more original concepts rise through the community. Concepts can be as vague or as detailed as you want- I'll go more into detail about concepts wayyy later.
Familiar/Mascot -> Familiars, or mascots, are who give you the power to become a magical hero! They usually also represent your team and give you advice on how to succeed as a magical hero. Unlike what you see in typical magical hero shows, familiars don't always have to be animals. They can be humans, objects, etc. Sometimes, you can have a concept with no familiar!
Script -> A script is a collection of what you want as a magical hero. Scripting is the process of creating your script. This is usually done in a word processor, like Google Docs or Notion. You can add in pictures of your outfits/weapons, info about yourself, etc! I'll be sharing some of my self made scripting templates later on!
Subliminals -> Subliminals are subconsious messages over music or noise that go into your subconsious mind, helping you manifest desired results. Subliminals aren't just exclusive for becoming a magical hero. There are different subliminal topics, such as getting longer hair, changing your eye color, etc! Friendly reminder that subliminals are just a tool to help you manifest, and are not required for you to transform. What is required is.. you! Yes, you and your subconsious mind!
I will warn you, especially those new to the subliminal community: we do not condone the usage of problematic subliminals, such as race-changing (and the RCTA community), any underground subliminal, or subliminals glorifying trauma, abuse, etc. If you condone the usage of these subliminals, then leave this blog. You are not welcome here or in our Discord server. /srs
Manifesting -> Manifesting is the act of bringing something into this reality that you want. It's like a dream come true- say, you've manifested good grades, healthy hair, etc. There are several methods to manifest, but the most common one I've seen is manifesting with subliminals.
Affirmations -> Affirmations are positive statements that help reinforce your subconsious mind what you want to manifest. Things like "I will transform" and "I am a magical hero" are some! These are put into subliminals, but you can also create your own to make sigils, spells, etc.
Fantasy Shift Phase (F Shift) -> In fantasy shifting phase, you're planning out your aspects of your magical hero life, desired life, etc. This is where you create ideas for your magical hero concept. You can also create your subliminal playlist in this phase.
Mental Shift Phase (M Shift) -> In mental phase, you're changing your mental (and sometimes physical) state to think like a magical hero. This can be doing good deeds for others, watching magical hero shows, physically training, etc! You're preparing for your future as a magical hero. Acting as if and roleplaying are two common ways magical heroes mentally shift!
Phantom Shifting (Ph Shift) -> Phantom shifting is where you feel the sensation of being a magical hero, however, you haven't fully transformed yet. This can come in the form of feeling sensations of your outfit, weapons, etc while in civilian form. Some magical heroes don't count phantom shifting as its own phase since it's more of a term to describe sensations you feel.
Astral Shift Phase (A Shift) -> Astral shifting is where you see your magical hero form in the astral plane, either by phantom shifting or astral projecting. There's little information on how to astral shift, but don't let that discourage you!
Physical Shift Phase (P Shift) -> Also known as "full results", physical shifting is where you physically transform into a magical hero! You've completed a journey and are beginning another one! Congratulations <3
Fictional Other (F/O) -> Fictional others are signifigant others being manifested into this reality from a fictional source. They can be human, nonhuman, etc! I see a lot of magical heroes do this, so I thought it'd be nice to add (psst, to all those selfshippers out there manifesting f/o's, you are so valid and your partner loves you more than anything in this world <3)
Tumblr media
That's all of the terminology I can think of! If you have any questions, think I forgor something, or want to add to this post, feel free to leave a note or an ask!! I hope you guys learned something from this post :)
See you all next time!
