Full moon reading!
Tumblr media
This pink moon is going to bring about a lot of emotional stability, it’s best to really ground yourself at this time and protect your energy from any nuances that may occur. This full moon is also called the pink moon so a lot of great things will be taking place.. some of you may need to do some releasing especially with grief, toxicity.. but I many feel this may have to do with the heart chakra. So a lot of emotional things may resurface so that you can finally set yourself free and begin a new! Your presence and aura is definitely going to be radiating at this time, you may attract a lot of child like energy or you’ll be in this flow of energy, you may also tap into your inner child more.. there’s a need for you to make room for play! Be that kid again! Children may also be attracted to you more than usual around this time and also animals. I also see your intuition being more heightened, you may start to feel more like yourself as well. There’s a gentle side of you that’s going to be strong and prominent at this time as your nurturing side kicks in. “ a long awaited journey” is what I’m hearing, there’s a new journey you’re going to walk through and experience especially in this lifetime. But I’m also seeing something long awaited happening for you. It’s something that you’ve been putting a lot of time, energy, and effort into… the seeds you’ve been tending to and nurturing are fully going to blossom so expect a lot of good news, opportunities, windfalls, etc. carrots are significant but this is something that is “long awaited”. You’re no longer going to be stuck in your head nor holding yourself back as you gain new and fresh perspectives, ideas and experiences. You’re going to have the opportunity to really show up and show tf out. It’s time to put something into practice especially if you’ve been meditating about it.. contemplating it… it’s time to put your words into action!

7 Virtues of Hellenism.
Xenia - This is the pillar that signifies hospitality, generosity and reciprocity. It's typically demonstrated in a guest/host dynamic.
Kharis - This is the pillar that signifies appreciation and gratitude. It entails giving to the gods and and expressing gratitude when you receive something from them.
Eusebia - This is the pillar that signifies reverence and veneration towards the gods. It can be translated to 'piety' or 'reverant conduct' meaning that you show respect for them.
Hagneia - This is the pillar that signifies purifying yourself. It entails having moral, perhaps physical too, purity and avoiding miasma where possible.
Arete - This is the pillar that signifies excellence and brilliance. It entails trying to reach your highest potential and this can be in any field.
Sophia - This is the pillar that signifies the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
Sophrosyne - This is the pillar that signifies self-control and prudence. It involves being of sound mind and remaining balanced, which can further lead to other positive qualities to have.
I hope these are right and that I didn't misunderstand their meanings! Hopefully this is useful to anyone, I certainly enjoyed making the post!

this is so beautiful! I'll make one for hekate and hypnos
Hello internet witches!! I’m not exactly in the closet per se, but I am fairly private about my practice. I also work with multiple deities closely and wanted to way to wear something for all of them at once. Anyway my solution to this problem was to make beaded devotional braclets with colors I associated with my deities. You could get more elaborate than I did even.

In order top to bottom we have Aphrodite, Artemis & Hestia

My favorite simple wards to guard the home
Hanging rosemary above the doorstep, and/or above doors of the house for protection.
Sprinkling a line of dried red pepper on a windowsill, to counter a curse.
Placing a mix of dried & ground eggshells and black pepper in every corner of a room to keep out unwanted spirits.
Placing a decoration representing a witch in the kitchen, to keep away illness and to favor health.
Crafting an effigie (no matter how crude!) and make it into the guardian of your home by charging it with your intent of protection and placing it near the front door.
Crafting small witch ladders to hang around the house.

prayers don't have to be perfect by the way.
I pray to the gods in the middle of my classes, my shifts at work, and in the shower.
I pray waiting at the bus stop.
I pray looking for something I lost.
I'm not always the best at consistently praying and leaving offerings at my altar. most of my worship is quick prayers on the go and devotional acts.
that's ok. I'm trying and the gods don't hate me or anything.
they don't hate you either. practice in a way that fits into your life and your needs. that's enough I think.

I have been sleeping very little because of work, that is destroying me.
Since a time ago I wanted to approach Hypnos, last night I asked him to help me rest deeply even though it was only a few hours, and the truth is I feel very good today, thank you very much for what you do for me Lord Hypnos.

I wish people would stop treating our Gods like they're fictional characters.
They are Gods. They have divine power.
Even if you don't believe in them, I still feel that some level of respect should be granted while talking about them or using them in fictional works.

Little ways I incorporate the gods into my life:
Thanking Athena when I successfully thread a needle
Listening to playlists devoted to some of gods
Saying goodnight to at least some of the gods
Praying to Hypnos and telling him I appreciate him when I go to bed
Cooking myself a meal most days in devotion to Hestia
Doing a quick sweep and cleaning (typically not very thorough honestly) either at the end of the lunar month on Hekate's Deipnon or on Noumenia
Recognizing Aphrodite every time I trim my nails
Telling Dionysus how my day was and how I'm feeling, really just taking time to sit and talk to him
Drawing little pictures/sketches of the gods
Wearing things I made in devotion to the gods or that I've set aside for them, for example I have a necklace that I wear for Ares everyday, one I wear for Hermes when leaving the house, and a pair a pants with patches on them representing Athena, Dionysus, Ares, and I'm working on one for Ariadne to add
Trying to learn Greek and devoting all the work i put into it including my daily Duolingo to Hermes
Seeing the gods in the world around me (ex. Ares in vultures)

Spirit Work II
Spiritual Imposters
Before committing yourself to a deity or spirit one must communicate by learning about the entity in question, making certain they are who they say they are. Discovery of a spirit you thought you were working with is something else that leaves one feeling betrayed, upset, and oftentimes empty. Knowing the signs can really help discern things.
Mental Sock Puppets
A mental sock puppet is the result of talking to yourself and concluding self-talks as something else. The ego talks, you listen to yourself. Not a spirit. Or you establish contact but are incredibly biased hearing your thoughts. Not theirs.
It acts in accordance to your expectations.
You received no new information.
It’s only as knowledgeable as you are.
It only abides by your will. No one else.
It gives no signs unless you’re looking for them.
These are easy to get rid of if you identify the problem, recognize the problem, and let the narrative and ego go. No one needs to hear it. No one wants too either. You only end up hurting yourself and other people if things get too out of hand.
Lying Spirits
Some spirits are opportunists. They can portray an illusion pretending to be someone they’re not in order to gain loyalty and trust. They can take the form of a deity, guide, companion, or anything else that you would be most receptive to. This is why it’s good to know the basics to energy work and magick. Remember to learn different energies and how they feel to you. Remember to analyze the situation, yourself, the spirit, the environment, and working before proceeding forward. A lot of these malevolent entities like to feed off you or cause more drama that’s not necessarily needed.
Spirit Work and Continued Relationships
Veneration and Practice
This is about worshipping the deities or spirits you work with and highly depends on your practices and influences you choose to use and construct.
Most times there will be an altar setup or shrine dedicated to these spirits. Offerings of food, drink, incense, and trinkets would be a way of showing your dedication and interests of the spirits. There are other forms of interaction I have seen before.
Connection through art, music, nature, and meditation are just some of these other mediums. You don’t have to make this complex, and sometimes people have busy schedules making veneration hard to come by.
Try to keep things simple and remember it’s always okay to take a break due to circumstances. Spirits understand life comes first.
Patrons and Matrons
A Patron and Matron are deities that a devotee has a connection to. Its beyond standard devotional relations and is the main contact point for guidance and protection. It’s important to recognize that these types of relationships are built. They are not assigned.
Wicca is known for the patron and matron concept where duo theistic practices entail encouraging practitioners to seek out two divinities. The patron and matron would represent the divine masculine and divine feminine.
This is not a requirement in most practices, but in Wicca it is recognized in many circles.
Fallow Times
There are times where communication between you and the spirits can be difficult, and that’s okay. It happens with everyone. It doesn’t mean a spirit has left or that you’ve lost your ability to communicate. This feeling is temporary, and it’s a reminder that whenever this does happen, you need to take care of yourself first. Get the rest you deserve and try again later. Remember, this is normal due to circumstances – including stress, environmental factors, and any sort of disturbances one may have.
Oaths and Vows
There are many reasons why an individual would take an oath and vow. That’s between the practitioner and the spirit. This promise can come about for many different reasons, and even sometimes at the request of the spirit. However, this isn’t required if you are just working with them. It doesn’t mean control or status either. You can’t parade this around to get your way in certain situations. It doesn’t look good or help. Be aware of that. Remember why you did this, and what does it mean for you. That’s the most important part.
Displeasing Spirits
Those that are new to Spirit Work sometimes worry about displeasing the spirits. Repeat after me, deities and spirits who choose to work with you won’t get mad at you for being a human.
They will know there will be shortcomings, quirks, and variations.
You have NO obligation to listen to ANY person on this subject otherwise.
IF you do upset a spirit or make it angry question yourself as to why. Remember, communication is the key, and sometimes frictions can happen.
IF the behavior seems off and out of place, you may be dealing with an imposter. Check your sources and confirmation methods before determining the circumstances.

16 Ways to Connect with the Gods when you don't have an Altar
So I'm currently away from home for 10 days (pet/house sitting) and I don't have an altar space with me. I have my tarot deck and that's it. I decided to write this list incase it might help someone else who is away from home or is just in the pagan closet. Enjoy!
Read your Deity's myths or listen to people read myths on youtube
Sit outside and just think about them
Set your phone background to something that reminds you of them
Wear their colours or symbols
Make or listen to a playlist dedicated to your Deity/Deities
Do a digital offering on tumblr or another site
Just talk to them about your day
Write some poetry for them. Anything can be poetry, it doesn't have to be good
Scroll through their tags on social media
If you have coloured shoelaces wear their corresponding colours on your shoes!! (I can't believe i didn't think about this earlier)
Do your make up to honour them
Talk about them in a (dedicated witchy/pagan) discord server
Do something nice for someone. I know it's cheesy but it's cliche for a reason. For me it definitely makes me feel closer to my Gods
Draw/make art of them or one of their symbols
Youtube ambiance videos are great! If your Deity has an association with fire, water, birds, communal spaces or music there are heaps of videos on Youtube that you can play. Think coffee shop ambiance (communal space), waterfall/rain/water ambiance, nature/bird chirping ambiance, fire place ambiance, studying at the library ambiance, etc. endless possibilities
Draw their sigils/symbols on your face with skin care
I hope this helps!! Feel free to add any other tips. I tried to keep these relatively accessible for everyone.
