I never realized how much good religion could do for me until I started worshipping Hypnos.

I've been worshipping him for just over a week now, and it's brought me so much joy.

I've been getting better sleep, I've been more optimistic, and I've been able to overcome a lot of fears and anxiety.

He's so patient with me. Even when I make mistakes when it comes to worshiping him, he's forgiving and loving.

He's okay with me not being able to make an alter. He's okay with me stuttering and messing up during prayers. He's okay with me taking things slow.

He truly is the most gentle of the gods.

Please grant me swift and sweet rest tonight, Cloud-Stepper. Allow my eyes to close heavily and for lovely dreams to play in my mind. Please allow for a restful night filled with rejuvenation and peace. I wish to be undisturbed, sleeping as deeply as a puppy after a day full of play. I wish for rest so healing that I awake the next morning with a smile on my face. Please, Kindly Hypnos, grant me these things.

Thank you, Fair Hypnos, for hearing my prayer. Your compassion is boundless, and your sympathy, touching. May your night be as peaceful and restful as my own. May all your dreams be sweet, and may your own Lovely Mind always find reprieve from its worries. May every day bring a smile to your Rosy Cheeks with something good always laid down at your feet.

Hypnos-Somnus is the silence and calmness of the night. He is the warmth of a blanket and coldness of other side of the pillow. He is tiredness, that comes at the end of the day and energy or comfortable laziness in the morning. He is pastel soothing blue, purple and white. He is slow and peaceful lo-fi. He is the blackness of the sleep or vivid visions of the dreams. He is red fields of blood on steppes or single little drops here and there on grass in form of wild poppies. He is this little crust of poppy's seeds in the bun filled with them. He is the certainty of the next day. He is the little white feathers that appear in every part of the city. He is the warmth of sweaters and pajamas. He is the smell of fresh cleaned sheets and much, much more.

He is so many than just sleep. And once you see it, it's hard to stop again. I hope that this year will be calmer, so I could give Him what He truly deserves.

But now, thank you, kind Hypnos-Somnus, that in my crisis days, where I couldn't get enough sleep, you helped me get some rest. That my bed was a safe space, that my pillows were soft. Thank you, that I didn't have any nightmares or stress dreams for a long time.
