I’m starting to finally post all of my past work and sketches that I felt proud enough of to show. Here is the first of many, I’ve being sketching a lot so be prepared for many more of these! :P

‘Blue Forest’

This is a milestone illustration, it’s a huge achievement for me to not only finally have finished a new illustration but to have finally painted a landscape!

Gosh, it feels like I haven’t sat down and made a painting in a very long time! Well here is the first quick little random exploration with weird colours, fun painting to get me back into the swing of things :)

These are by far my favourite inktober pieces from last year, I’m still so very proud of them and how much effort i put into them! I thought I’d finally post all of these before this years inktober came round, so here they are! :)

As for what I study, I’m actually self teaching myself illustration and soon concept art, contrary to studying at university! I was where you were in year 11, I had no idea what to do and then one day I realised I loved drawing and building worlds so much that I decided to pursue concept art and illustration. As for not knowing what to do, being there done that, so let me give you a tip:Dont stress over it a lot, you actually have more time than you think!Easier said than done I know, but spend time doing the things you love, things you are passionate about, try hobbies or learning topics that interests you and you’ll find at some point one of them will click, so much so you might pursue it. You have so much time to figure out what you want to do, don’t waste it away trying to figure it out and have just fun, you’ll find it. The real trick, is just getting to know yourself and what you love :)

I’ll always remember this one story I was told in highschool. We had a guest speaker come in, she was a student at a university and she explained that she took a 1 year gap year to travel and loved it so much that it turned into a 7 year gap year! She still went to uni after 7 years and still achieved as much as the rest, I’m the same, it took me 3 years and yet I’mAchieving what others can.

So don’t stress over time, go at it at you’re own pace, try a lot of things and have a good time, the most important thing is to choose things that make you happy and things that make you spring out of bed looking forward to that thing ❤️

I had the pleasure to work on this ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ illustration for my best friend’s birthday present last year, I say pleasure because it’s both our favourite movie, yay! To this day I am still super proud of this illustration and it by far my favourite one :)

I kind of went off sequence here for these inktobers simply because out of the whole of this challenge these two illustrations were my absolute favourites by far! :P

yknow theres a lot of pressure to be successful, particularly on artsy kids whose professions are seen as useless unless theyre famous, but life is fucking hard and sometimes things dont turn out

but i think thats not bad. my dad has wanted to be a musician forever, and hes rly pretty good. but then he joined the military to get away from an abusive family, and then he got married, and then he got divorced, and a lot of horrible shit HAPPENED. he has ptsd and severe anxiety and he could never really get back on the horse. and he never made it as a musician, and now hes 53

but i grew up in a house full of instruments, and he can play all of them, and some of my earliest memories are of him playing guitar on the front porch and me thinking there wasnt a better musician in the world. so. even if you dont get to the stars, exactly, what you do isnt worthless. its not a waste of time if life is difficult and you cant make it, or if you arent famous, or if your work doesn’t influence thousands of people. it will influence someone

there are a million ways to be happy and a million ways to be a successful artist. we create what we do to enhance the human experience and relate to each other and improve ourselves. theres something to be said for just doing that,,,for the sake of doing it, yknow

This was last years Inktober paintings, I got pretty far with keeping the same level of quality but like usual I didn’t finish it! Maybe this year I’ll finally have more luck :P

I’m just going to post these a few at a time for the time being because unfortunately my internet has hit an all time low for being shit....yay me!

After a year of nothing but struggles and questions about life and being sick of always being confused, I just decided to really push myself as an artist because that’s what I love after all! 

So here’s the first illustration of the year and the first illustration I’ve done digitally in a very long time as well as the first of many others to come (I’m excited!!)

Wow, has it been ages since I’ve posted anything here, let alone paint an actual illustration which to be honest, both are quite sad. However, I’m trying to change things up and paint as much as I can and so far it’s going really well, so expect me to be a little more active :D (man I missed tumblr so much!!)

So as a present from me to me for birthday, I finally bought myself a 22hd cintiq, after so many years of drooling over it!! So this is my very first painting (again done a while back…..) on this amazing thing, I’m really glad I bought it!! This painting is also one of the best portraits I’ve managed to paint so I’m super happy (^○^)
