being ace means being on a spectrum of being “sexually attracted” to people. I personally don’t find anyone sexually attractive, meaning I just admire certain people but my first thought wouldn’t be the desire to bed them. I guess it’s hard for me to imagine anyone feeling like that because i’ve never felt that desire, but as far as i’m aware, that is the difference between experiencing sexual attraction or not!

an asexual person can still be romantically attracted to someone and even enjoy intimacy! Some people don’t like the idea of intimacy at all, and some people may not even feel romantic attraction.

It sure can get confusing if you have trauma, or if you don’t feel sexually attracted to someone until you are romantically involved, but there’s no deadline to figuring yourself out! In my experience, I was confused for a long time whether I was ace or not because of a traumatic event, but Ive figured that I never really understood how sexual attraction feels.

I hope that made sense! Again, “asexual” can mean all kinds of different things but in the end it’s just about what kind of attraction you experience :)
