I cant remember who recommended I read BLAME! but thank you, I've been binge reading it, and now I see machinery when I close my eyes.
I'm about a third of the way through it and I'm loving the background art style. The characters design is good, im seeing a lot of Neo, cenobites and Alien influence which is cool.

Something that keeps coming back into my head over the last few months is this specific part of The Last of Us. Can't remember the exact episode, but it was the part where the Runner zombies would cry and try to speak while actively attacking people. The theory was that they knew what was happening but couldn't stop themselves. Just feels very relevant in the world lately, and especially today.

It got brought up at work, so I thought I'd ask about it here too:
English teachers: is there a reason 95% of the books we read in class were all so sad and upsetting? I can remember maybe one book that wasn't depressing. There's gotta be uplifting ones that could be added, right?
Maybe its changed since I was in school, but all I remember is books like The Grapes of Wrath, Where the red fern grows, A child called it, Taroh says beware, Scarlett Letter, On my honor, Gatsby, Cuckoos nest etc...
Some sad/upsetting books are crucial to read, but it felt really unbalanced and negative and I was wondering if there was a reason.

There was a great turnout, great energy and only a few mosquitos that were easily waved away.
It's a nice day for a long slow walk through my town. Hopefully my friends will be out there too 💀👑

Just learned about Hell Lane and what a Holloway is in England, and I have to say... prime ghost story material right there. Surprised I haven't heard more about them up to now.

Most recent cake I made at work. For a friends wedding.
The top is chocolate cannoli, middle is vanilla with strawberries and ganache, bottom is chocolate with raspberry and ganache.

Soot tags gather after fires in areas with low circulation. They are not, as commonly believed, ash covered spider webs.
