Contributor Applications for Morning Star are now open!

Morning Star is a fanzine celebrating Minecraft creators of marginalised gender identity or experience; no matter how big or small, old or new, as long as they can be tied back to the MCYT sphere, and as long as their gender identity or experience can be argued to be marginalized in some way.

If that sounds like something you'd like to participate in, and you make illustrations, comics, or fanfiction, then you can apply via the forms here:

I've been thinking about whether or not I want to morph this blog into a place where I reblog cool stuff from other people in addition to posting my own content. Like, right now it's pretty much 99% all my stuff (art, writing, answered asks, whatever) with some other reblogs sprinkled in very sparingly (usually stuff about the zines I'm currently in). BUT every time I look at people's amazing art, especially from my friends, I think about how I wish I could share that art with you guys somehow. This blog, maybe?

Should I start reblogging other people's content to this blog? Or would that clog things up for you guys? If I do start reblogging other people's stuff I would probably make a specific tag for it so you can mute it if you want. But do I want to do that... AAAHhghh I've been thinking about this for so long lol

Hello everyone!!

So some friends of mine have created the Morning Star zine (at @morningstarzine), which is a project focused specifically on people of marginalized genders within the MCYT sphere. They're looking for mods who have experience in finances, art crit, and writing crit, as well as experience with servers like:

Aimsey's Projects/ASMP

POW Creations

Solo and smaller creators like Ivorycello, Ponk, Bekyamons, etc

If you or someone you know is a fan of any of the above groups (this sounds like the beginning of a lawsuit commercial lmao) and are interested in running a zine, please consider applying!
