If this is the first you hear about it, Empiropedia is a digital-only, not-for-profit fanzine that focuses on the worldbuilding of Empires Season 1.

It includes both art and writing, with 51 contributors whose works span 120+ pages.

This zine will require you to suspend your disbelief throughout its duration, as it was made to resemble an in-universe history book written by a certain archaeologist (wink wink).

I hope this isn’t offensive but if sword and shield is done or on hold can I ask if you guys had like a plan for how it was gonna go. Like what was the outline and can we see please. Sorry if that’s mean

Lol this isn't offensive at all! Thank you for asking :)

To answer your question: the Shield and the Shadow hasn't concluded or been abandoned, but instead is currently on hold. My two co-authors and I have been extremely busy with our personal lives this year, and because of that, we haven't been able to devote the time and effort needed to finish a new chapter that meets our standards.

However, that doesn't mean we've lost interest! We're excited as ever to eventually get back into the swing of things. We still have a huge portion of our (ridiculously) long outline to cover, plus what seems like a million other small ideas we still want to explore.

So, while life isn't really projected to slow down much for us in the immediate future, things will eventually settle and we'll write more about our silly gay knights. So until then, please accept our most sincere thank yous for your continued interest in our fic! The support means the absolute world to us! <3
