So long and thanks for all the fish.
I'd start with "it's with great sorrow" but honestly, it's not.  We have had a great amount of months together and this rp has been wonderful so far, sadly, it's come to an expected end. Mostly due to the mods' personal hectice lives and inability to balance things at the moment, for that, we are sorry. We can't keep the rp going this way and it'd be disrespectful to at least not warn you people and just let it fall into nothingness without notice whatsoever. This is the end, alright. It was short lived but good, so thank you.
But this post is to thank you lot for everything so far and say we do intend to come back as soon our lives are settled back in, with a revamped roleplay and if not, just start a new because we know, we can't stay away for too long. Sadly all things come to an end and this is MI's but still it was a great time and it was thank to you, our players.
At the moment, Marvel Island can't keep running and we have loved every moment, we are sorry for closing it but thankful for every moment nonetheless.

Death is a-movin’ upon my soul
Tumblr media
Do you like mysteries?
Well, we have one for you.
A body was found near the school, around the time of Skaar’s party at the Banner residence. It showed no signs of struggle. The area was isolated by the police as soon as they arrived at the scene, and the body was then taken to the Charles Xavier Hospital.
The victim was a 19 years old mutant, and his death raised tensions all over the island, with some especulating this incident may be the start of a plan to wipe them all off the map, or a rise on the violence between the inhabitants themselves. Whatever it may be, and whatever theories you might have, things are getting heated.
Stay tuned, and don’t forget to listen to your favorite Radio, KSION, for more information.

Congrats Sandra! (Screeching Bah in the background.) Bring us the Bobbi now! You know the drill babe so just come on after this beautifully written app.~
Name/Alias
Sandra The Fab™
How is your activity level going?
Probably 5-6. I do try to post at least once a day.
Who do you currently play?
I play Simon Williams a.k.a. Big Pacifist Bag of Ions.
How long have you been in the roleplay?
As long as it’s been active.
How many posts do you have on your current character’s blog?
100+.
What’s been going on with your character?
Well he’s currently shame googling pictures of his butt on the internet. Simon’s spending most of his time in Judeca taking care of the young sprouts that come in. He’s trying to provide as much support by helping them get back on their feet and feel at home on the island as he can. He and Kitty have been warming to each other despite their differences in the only way they know how: through quips and silly bets. He’s trying to make New Sion feel like home, but it is no secret that he still misses his friends. However he does try to make new ones every now and then and settle into life on the island.

CANON CHARACTER + BIO
Character:
Bobbi Morse
Why do you want to play this character?
I don’t remember when I first fell in love with Bobbi, it kind of just happened. It is no secret I have a soft spot for badass female superheroes and Bobbi is by far no exception. I love how she keeps pushing on no matter what life throws at her, despite the awful things she had to endure. She survived years of captivity on a ship full of Skrulls and when she finally escaped and the invasion was over, Bobbi didn’t hide but instead formed her own division of agents and went back out into the world. And I really love that about her. I know she’s more than just Clint’s wife (no offense, Governor) and I’d love to prove that if you’d give me the chance.
Describe the character in your own words.
Bobbi is a survivor and a fighter. She keeps pushing on no matter what. She knows how to blend in and adapt to every mission and every situation, to use her opponents’ abilities against them. Even though she was recruited as a biochemist she has always prefered the field over paperwork. She can be incredibly blunt at times which is by far not a bad thing. Of course snarky and callous when you piss her off (and you better hope you don’t). Bobbi is very responsible and smart and passionate about the things she puts her energy into. Her time with aboard the Skrull ship taught her patience, but she quickly gets irritated by things that don’t pique her interest or if she deems them unimportant. Bobbi works better alone, but is known to be a team player when she has to. That being said she is very loyal to the people she cares about.
Faction:
S.H.I.E.L.D.
Bio:
Bobbi Morse | 32 | S.H.I.E.L.D. | Human | Neutral (technically kidnapped by evil aliens with no say in the matter but that wasn’t an option on the list) | Female | Heterosexual | Amber Heard
Barbara Morse was born and raised in San Diego, California into an average American family. Her father worked as a traveling salesman and her mother taught Science at the local Elementary School. Never learning to settle into the quiet suburbs Bobbi was determined to escape her ordinary boring life. She excelled in school and later attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in biology. Upon completion of her Ph.D., she was recruited into S.H.I.E.L.D., briefly working on a project to recreate the super-soldier serum before it backfired.
After being admitted into S.H.I.E.L.D. Bobbi became known as Agent 19, travelling to the Savage Land where she met Ka-Zar who she formed a strong bond with. Ultimately Bobbi returned home to the United States where she resigned from S.H.I.E.L.D.. Working as a freelance agent, Bobbi was hired to investigate Cross Technological Enterprises, where she clashed with security director Hawkeye a.k.a. Clint Barton. The two soon discovered that CTE was run by criminal Crossfire who planned to brainwash super heroes setting them against each other. Clint and Bobbi joined forces against the supervillain organisation, becoming attracted to each other in the process. After the success of their mission, Bobbi proposed to Clint and the two married. When Hawkeye was appointed head of the West Coast Avengers, Mockingbird became the team’s first new recruit and helped Hawkeye form the new team.
Months later, Bobbi was abducted, drugged and abused by the Phantom Rider, who tried to force her to become his bride. Bobbi stood up against the Phantom Rider pushing him to the edge of a cliff, allowing him to fall to his death. After learning that his wife had allowed a man to die, Clint and Bobbi had a falling out and their relationship never recovered since. As she was attempting to discuss a divorce with Hawkeye Bobbi was abducted and replaced by a Skrull who later died, convincing everyone that Mockingbird was gone for good.
Imprisoned on an alien ship Bobbi has spent every day since her abduction trying to escape and warn her friends on Earth of the coming invasion.

Bobbi/Chemistry
Para sample:
“Come at me, you bastard.” Bobbi roared at the man standing over her, the back of her hand pressed to her lips where a streak of blood made its way down her chin. The bastard had drugged her, beat her, and abused her in ways she couldn’t bare to think about without seeing red. She wanted to hurt him back, push him to his knees and then some. She wanted to give the Phantom Rider a taste of his own medicine – foul and bitter. “Come on!”
Bobbi lashed forward pushing him further to the edge of the cliff with her batons. The rain was pouring down on them, stringing along to their deadly tango at the edge of the world. “Barbara, you were leaving before you had a chance to know me!” The Phantom Rider was now just inches away from her face, leaning in, threatening to overpower her. His white mask didn’t give away any emotion apart from stale apathy. God, Bobbi just wanted to stuff that white piece of cloth into his mouth. “With my husband! That didn’t matter?”
And there they went again in their deadly dance at the edge of the cliff. With one swift blow to the knees the man sent Bobbi flying, falling flat on her back. Batons pressed against her collarbone. “If you’d met me before you met him, you’d have been mine. But if I can’t have you, no one can’t!” Bobbi felt Rider’s hand push against the side of her throat. It was cold and lifeless just like his sense of chivalry. “You’ll be better dead, my love. Because you’ll be a ghost like me!” Yeah right.
With one kick to the groin and a swift blow to the chest with her batons Bobbi sent the Phantom Rider flying over the edge of the cliff to his death. “Bye, bye, birdie.” She whispered as she watched the white silhouette get smaller and smaller, fading with the sound of thunder as lightning illuminated the scene before her. Bobbi didn’t feel any remorse or regret. Not now. Not for him.

CONGRATULATIONS DRAK!!!!!!! We’re very excited to have you and everyone now needs to step up their writing level. Now you know the drill, blog and email to join us, p l e a se. <3 And welcome dear.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Name/Alias, age, pronouns, timezone:
Drakan, 25 by the time I send this in because when am I eVER ON TIME, I like xe/xer - but he, she, or they are fine as well. So not picky, I suppose? CST.
Activity level:
Ummm maybe a five and after this week a good six? I’ll usually be around on skype if I have data or wifi available.
Experience:
I’ve got a lot of experience tbh; from forums to journaling sites (RIP greatestjournal) to tumblr to just writing things since I was at least 11, so 14 ish years.
For specifically Marvel, I’ve had approx five or six years altogether.
Skype:
woopsie
If you don’t get this character, would you apply for a different one?
Yes, it’s a good possibility I would! I have too many Marvel children to consider tbh. Morbius could be a contender, Nightcrawler’s a definite possibility, of course. There’s also Spiral, Beta Ray Bill (though I’d have to really look to see what he did in Civil War and how my horse faced Korbonite alien son fits in and who the hell could pass off as Bill…), Kamala Khan, Venom, or Mr. Fantastic, maybe Ultron… There’s also a couple of OCs I could throw in. Uh. TL;DR: So many. But lbr Stephen is my dumb magician child.
Triggers?
The only thing that really sticks out is animal death that’s descriptive. Other stuff isn’t anywhere close.
CANON CHARACTER + BIO
Character:
Stephen Vincent Strange ; Doctor Strange
Why do you want to play this character?
Morbius might have introduced me to comics in the first place, especially Marvel, but this dumb magician caught my eye and I’ve been so smitten with him ever since, and subsequently kept up with them (even tho half of the time Marvel makes me want to slam my face into my keyboard. Repeatedly B| ) Sure, I knew Kurt and the X-Men growing up via tv shows, but yeah. Doctor Strange is just. ugh. Where do i bEGIN.
I played Nightcrawler once on tumblr, and got introduced to some characters that I’d never heard of before in the process. Needless to say, I came across this funky dressed guy with some fine legs (STEPHEN YOUR LEGS ARE REDONK FOR THE RECORD LIKE DANG THEY’RE SO FINE W H Y) and he looked a lot like Vincent Price. And I love me some VP tbh. I started digging through his tags and read some of the comics with him in them and I fell in love with him in the bat of an eye. I really connect with this guy and he has so many monsters to choose from, the visuals were spectacular… But, on to the guy himself.
He started out as a horrible person, though brilliant, just a shitty dude overall but amazing surgeon.  Where I’m not as interested in Tony Stark or his backstory (don’t ask me idk either), Stephen’s similar history had me hooked from the get go.
There’s a lot to Stephen underneath the surface. While the outside may be stoic and standoffish, there’s little doubt that his mind is constantly working underneath it all to stop problems before they arise (mostly in what hides behind the veil other people are quite blissfully unaware of), and that he knows more than what most would expect. There’s even less doubt that despite how his interest in medicine went by the wayside in favor of greed, pride, and power (which are all very real flaws that still influence his character to this day – but for very different reasons from back then), there’s nothing he would like to do more than to do what he can to protect the Earth and the people in it… within some reason it seems.
He’s a healer first and foremost; his medical background is so steeped into him that I don’t think you could separate that side of him from the character and having him still be Doctor Strange, and that really appeals to me. Everything he does is to try to help people by doing whatever he can, even when his title was stripped from him and his hands became worse off later on (past comic Civil War timeline) that he eventually gained it back. That and he’s so incredibly lonely, even if you’d be pretty hard-pressed to find someone that doesn’t like (or liked, in the case of Hulk – which he apologizes for again) or at the very least respects Stephen in some form or fashion. Plus, he’s usually the go-to person for supernatural events; even the ones that are quite literally based on that part of the Marvel verse typically hold his opinions in high regard.
There is a bit of a duality to Stephen. He wants the real sense of companionship that he denied himself while he was a surgeon but knowing that it wouldn’t end well for the other person due to the dangers he’s faced since becoming the Sorcerer Supreme and perhaps even after that that keeps him from getting too close and making the connections that he desperately wants, and is both aloof and friendly, both cold and caring. But despite all of this, he’s actually pretty likeable once you look past the exterior and find out he’s just a very clever (but extremely powerful) nerd with crushed nerves in his hands that wants friends.
This kinda goes hand in hand with the next question but yeah. He’s just. Christ. I can’t words. I can ’t describe how much he means to me as a character. I just love Doctor Strange like a lot and I can’t ever feel like I do him any amount of justice in describing him.
Like honestly? He beats out Nightcrawler by a long shot, and that’s saying something for those that know me really, really well. He’s a dumb magician who’s crazy OP in power sets (lbr he HAS to be, facing what he does), but he means so much to me as a character, despite how and in what ways Marvel treats him and his wife and characters otherwise connected to him is a constant source of “Why this. Marvel. Marvel please.” in my life… I seriously don’t regret it.
Describe the character in your own words.
This magician is my everything. Don’t let me talk about my child or I won’t shut up. Oh, that’s what you want me to do? Oh boy, deep breaths. leTS GO.
Pre-magic Strange can be summed up as WOW WHAT AN ASSHOLE. If you could afford his exuberant fees, there was no one better suited to fix what ailed you than Stephen Strange. But as soon as you were healed or he did his part, it could be summed up as “Bye see ya thanks for your cash loser”. If you didn’t have the money at all, you were SOL, and he wouldn’t give you or your case a second thought. All he really cared about was his money and how he looked as a status symbol. Womanizer and an alcoholic to a ludicrous degree (though the former could be a bit debatable – it may have been another status symbol; but his drinking was definitely real), his vices spoke for him and honestly he was a jerk that paraded around as a sack of shit that, while he did deserve to be among the top of his peers, would be someone you’d probably want to punch in the face. Repeatedly. And with good reason. But eventually, he became better. More closed off, perhaps, but in general he’s a good guy if a little offbeat, but you can definitely see where his childhood dream of being a doctor – regardless of the terrible shit he did while he was a doctor - still influences him in major ways.
Over the years, he’s become quite a bit stoic and quite the serious guy, standoff-ish and still a little bit friendly at the same time. He’s comfortable being alone, but he hates being that way. He wants to hold people close, but at the same time he can’t risk their well-being for himself. He keeps a very tight hold on his emotions – mostly looking vaguely bored or perhaps annoyed - to an outside party or people that don’t know him well. He is prone to suffering bouts of melancholia, and that happens a little more often recently. He usually assumes a leadership role if there’s no one he trusts (Steve Rogers, Luke Cage, Tony Stark are good examples of this) to take the lead, and he’s very good at coming up with strategies – even on the fly, but he assumes too much of that leadership and isn’t good at delving out orders. It isn’t that he doesn’t believe others are incapable of following them or anything like that – it’s more of an instinctive drive than anything else; perhaps due to his history, even if he knows he can’t actually do it all by himself (though he isn’t above asking others for help, either. It’s another one of those strange dualities to the magician that ultimately endeared me to him tbh).
But, for all of that, there is - as I pointed out way up there - one thing that keeps him on track most of the time. Despite the fact that he’s arguably one of the most powerful people in Marvel’s entire universe (and definitely among the most powerful humans), he still just wants to help people, heal what he can, help out where he can. There’s all kinds of crazy shit that’s riding on his shoulders and nipping at his heels that would probably make people hurl just getting one good look at them, and he fights this sort of thing on the daily. Guy doesn’t get scared easy. You’d have a better chance of roping a tornado than scaring the guy, especially at this point in his life and considering that if one did include the years he spent in the War of Seven Spheres, at least 98% of his lifetime in war… yeah, not going to happen.
But even still, he doesn’t complain about his role. Even if he didn’t (and honestly he still doesn’t) want the Sorcerer Supreme title, there is honestly little else that he would want to do. He’s useful as he is, he has a purpose in life, and he’s happy with it (perhaps not all of the decisions he’s made, but that’s another story).
All in all, he is a person with a lot of power (and wants [plus arguably needs] even more power) that tries to do the best thing for this blue dot that he has protected since he became a magic user - even at the cost of himself and his soul, and would gladly give whatever he can to protect it. There’s numerous occasions where he just barely made it back from a fight, bluffed just enough to persuade his opponent not to attack this universe and back down – or even passed right out from the tolls his magic took on his body and mind, only to go right back out and do it all over again.
Also, despite what the most recent comics say or infer, Stephen isn’t a womanizer. He doesn’t like casual sex – and certainly not with someone that he has no honest connection with. More often than not (like overwhelmingly so) he doesn’t pursue any kind of sexual relationship with them; even more so that he rejects or just doesn’t even acknowledge their interest in him, period. He’s an idiot when it comes to relationships who is “??? ??????????????? ? wat. Okay. No thanks.”. Don’t be fooled. I’ll fight everyone. I’ll even fight the sun. And I will WIN (it chaps my ass to see this happening okay? Okay. >:C )
Above all, just befriend this lonely slightly grumpy slightly “:{“ sorcerer nerd. Please. I’m begging you.
Faction:
Superhero/Super Human? Still active. The Sorcerer Supreme has no time nor the patience for your human laws sorry Tony and Maria but also not sorry. (Behind the scenes? Defenders (if we get more members of course), Illuminati (Ex member, perhaps), New Avengers (possibly)… Stephen seems to be involved in a few underground groups – which is kinda fitting tbh.)
Bio:
Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange / Doctor Strange | 45-ish (is actually 84, (or 5084, give or take a war)) | Super Human? (Magician, if it matters) | Neutral if it goes by postions made pre-war, Anti-Registration now | Male | (Pan-romantic) Demisexual | Vincent Price would be HELLA RAD, but I’m happy with keeping Christian Bale or picking another person at the mods’ discretion; I’m pretty open to any* fc for the bae. *Except for Benedyrl Cucumbersnaps or we WILL ENGAGE IN FISTICUFFS AT THE PIT I S2G >:C
Did you mean “Please write us a novel about the love of your Marvel life Drak” because I did. [sweats nervously and picks up all these note cards let us begin]
Stephen had seen and done much in his long, long life, even before he exited his relative seclusion. He had bested Death and gained technical immortality along never aging, bested the Dread Dormammu - even in his home dimension, creatures like that of Shuma-Gorath on multiple occasions, and even more foes that hardly any other soul knows about but him. He is renown in government circles and to the public as a leading authority on supernatural happenings - and most importantly, how to deal with them or stop them before they can gain a foothold on this tiny blue dot. But, truth be told, Stephen wasn’t always one of the most powerful sorcerers known to man - or otherwise.
The eldest of three children (Donna and Victor Strange, and Eugene and Beverly Strange as their parents), Stephen Vincent Strange dreamed of becoming a doctor and helping people even as a child, and often stole away to read medical books on his parents’ Nebraskan farm. The drive to become a doctor solidified after he treated Donna after a fall when he was only 11, and it was an experience he held on to ever since. Though he was brilliant and did remarkably well in class, Eugene was… well, extremely obsessed with money, and this twisted Stephen’s life dream to a degree while making him hate his father despite emulating him. His dream became as dark as his night terrors which he had up until he became an adult, but he was always kind to his siblings. However, his tragedies run far deeper than one could think. While in college, he spent the weekend with Donna on a holiday at the beach, and they were swimming in the ocean when she got a cramp and subsequently drowned. This cracked Stephen’s belief in medicine and himself - so much so that he became an outward and downright jerk, took only the highest paying clients, and drank heavily to get rid of the pain, and he spiraled down further and further. At one point, he was engaged to a lovely girl that he had saved, but his materialistic desires drove her away, but hey. He didn’t have night terrors anymore! And further still, his mother died, and while Stephen made it to the funeral for that, his father’s health went south not long after, but the young doctor wouldn’t go and give his final goodbyes out of grief. Because of this, Victor confronted his elder brother in his apartment, and soon left in a rage after the exchange. He stepped out into the street and was hit by a car.
It didn’t stop there. Stephen’s downward spiral pushed him down even further - to the point where he had been driving to a fancy dinner party hosted by some important people, and somehow he drove himself off the road and into a tree. Why he did it is anyone’s guess, but rumors say that he was drunk at the time, or perhaps wanted to end his misery in a moment of despair - yet others say that he saw something (or things) that resembled his night terrors from not so long ago flew at him from the dark to torment him once again. Either way, Stephen’s illustrious career ended in that wreck. While he still had his life despite staying in a short term coma, the nerves in both of his hands were crushed, with no chance of a full recovery - despite the fact that the hospital he had been treated in pulled out every trick in the book they had at the time to save him and his hands. Stephen’s bitterness devoured him even more than usual, and he became obsessed with treating his hands to return to his chosen career, and his wounded pride and deep rooted arrogance would not allow himself to become a consultant (which he would turn to for a time much, much later). So Stephen practically burned his money, attended bars and pubs across the world while he tried to find a cure to get his hands in working order. None of it ever seemed to work… until the ex-doctor overheard some people talking about some old man called the Ancient One that resided in Tibet. Apparently, he could preform miracles or had some kind of miracle cure that he could preform on others. Honestly, the details didn’t matter - Stephen had nothing to lose at that point, and sold what little he had left to pursue the rumor.
The rumor turned out to be true, but the old man would do nothing to help Stephen, but did offer to teach him about magic. Stephen didn’t take him up on the offer and wrote it off as a scam. However, a snowstorm seemed to pick up before he was about to leave, so Stephen had little choice but stay in the Ancient One’s temple overnight, and met who would become one of his greatest and long time adversaries there as well, Baron Mordo - one of the Ancient One’s own pupils. Stephen could not sleep, and roamed the temple that night only to find the old man under attack by none other than Mordo. Stephen was about to rush out to tell the Ancient One about his pupil’s deception, but Mordo stopped him from saying so outright with a mystical metal clamp around Stephen’s mouth cast minutes before. To get around it after a couple of unsuccessful attempts to cast out Mordo’s sinister intentions, Stephen exclaimed that he would learn about the Ancient One’s magic to help protect him from Mordo’s onslaught.
This little glimmer of the good inside of Stephen’s heart and soul was all the confirmation the Ancient One needed, and in the process undid the spell Mordo cast on Stephen. It was then revealed that he knew full well what Mordo had been up to, and hoped that by keeping him close, he could eventually bring the good out of him (and be unsuccessful, ultimately - a decision that Strange would make himself when the time came – but I’m getting ahead of myself). Stephen trained in seclusion with the Ancient One and Mordo - until his nemesis departed for his homelands. Under his Master’s tutelage, Stephen became quite adept with his own sorcery for years, and met all sorts of beings from other worlds and universes away from the public eye (which the budding sorcerer didn’t really mind being so secluded in the Sanctum Sanctorum; his home and base of operations alongside Wong). But his stories weren’t all fun and games. Often, he was thrown against Mordo and the Dread Dormammu, and Nightmare, and Umar, the Mindless Ones, and even met Eternity itself (and the love of his life, Clea, whom became his apprentice and eventual wife - niece to Dormammu). Armed with his knowledge, along with his wits and cunning nature, he triumphed over just about everything his destiny threw at him for the sake of living up to the Ancient One’s memory, and because it was always a natural desire in Stephen - though he tried to squash it when he was a practicing neurosurgeon.
One particular encounter with Shuma-Gorath forced Stephen to murder the Ancient One, an act that still hurts him til this very day - even drove him to consider giving up his magic. However, a conversation with his recently deceased master had given hope even in his despair. Much, much later, he even lost one of his eyes. After a time, he was granted a replacement from Agamatto himself – rumored to be one of the entity’s very own eyes itself.
The Vishanti called upon him to serve their side of the War of Seven Worlds (which would last for five thousand years) once more. Stephen, after refusing the Vishanti and other supernatural beings that, in response, forbade him to use the spells that invoked them, had became quite weak. To keep from losing anymore power, he accepted the Vishanti’s summon on the condition that he would return to Earth as soon as possible, since there was little doubt that one of Stephen’s long line of foes would not notice his absence and take advantage of the vulnerable planet and reality in his charge to protect. After his five thousand years of service, he found himself teleported back in New York a month later than when he last contacted them, with his memories of the war magically suppressed and clothes in tatters.
Despite his obvious disgust towards the Act, and his vehement opposition drove him to tell both Tony Stark and Reed Richards to never call on him again before he teleported out of the meeting, he was shocked that they were all thinking about the Superhuman Registration Act. However, he warned them all that no matter what happened, there would be heavy casualties if the bill made it to the cutting room floor – especially for those on the opposing side of the registration, and also that the legislation was just a way to give in to fear and ignorance. Ultimately, Stephen became a neutral entity during the Civil War. Despite being the Sorcerer Supreme, there was little Stephen could ultimately do for either side - since there were people he loved on both sides of the war, and there was no clear answer to the questions the war posed (and with his power, many would have perished no matter which stance he took). He also could not rightfully intervene on either side, as it was not his place to influence whatever would be the outcome on where super-humans and heroes fit in the world’s grand scheme of things. Instead, he whisked himself away to the Arctic to fast and meditate for forty days and prayed for the outcome that would take the least amount of lives, and would be the best outcome for everyone involved.
Stephen had witnessed a slew of horrible terrors in his almost 5100 years of life - things that would make someone’s bowels vacate the premises on the very first sight of them, but this outcome… Doctor Strange could never, ever see this one as the best outcome for anyone affected by the bill and what followed after. The doctor’s heart that he wanted to be, and (still) was, ached. If he had participated, could he have stopped all of this suffering for everyone? Could he have ended it before it began? Or would his involvement have done far more harm than good? These questions ate at him constantly, and still linger on his mind to this day.
Two years had passed since both legislation went through, and never had the Sorcerer Supreme ever regretted being as correct as he was then and now (and more-so his own inaction) after the dust had settled. Captain America was dead, and so were many of his former friends - or people that required his services at one point or another. And still, even more were being taken or snatched from their homes or off the streets – Heck, he had very little doubt that there were even worse fates than those that they were suffering, and such information weighed on his mind heavily. Despite being granted immunity from the law, Stephen did try to house mutants and others affected under the Act in the Sanctum Sanctorum for a time - at least until they could all figure out where to go from there under the guise of a broken down building that was going to be the home of a new coffee shop. There, he could gather his thoughts and protect others under the liberties that his immunity imposed, on top of trying to do his duties that were above that of others.
The Sanctum was arguably one of the few, and safest, locations that were left to those that were being cast out and beaten down in this new world that seemed to want to destroy them at a moment’s notice. A breath of air and a temporary home was all he could offer while he searched among those in the community that still had immunity or any place that could offer those he kept in his home in secrecy - even housing the Secret Avengers for a time.
Or rather, it used to be.
The anti-superhero tirade had attempted to target him and Wong for a while after the past two and a half years - or tried to, anyway. Most of Greenwich still regarded him as one of them, if a little flamboyantly dressed and… well, strange. Protesters were turned away from the door by Wong (as the better outcome typically was), or suddenly thought they left their ovens on at home, and other nonviolent resolutions, and it was no different when he was out and about in the streets, averting what damage he could to himself and to others, even on the astral plane. He even opened his home for other heroes to stay long enough to find somewhere else to go, and fought along side them on a few occasions that were out of their area of expertise.
All good things come to an end eventually, though, and S.H.I.E.L.D. soon appeared on his doorstep with a warrant for his arrest, and much to their surprise, he didn’t fight too much. Save for a few key artifacts that he bartered with at his arrest, Stephen had previously destroyed what he could, and let the entire Sanctum disappear into a different dimension soon after he stepped outside the door with Wong at his side – not at all trusting the organization to continue to do what he had been doing for decades centuries, millenniums.
For now, Stephen is a necessary evil that has to exist – there’s hardly anyone else alive in the cosmos that knows more than Doctor Strange does about the creatures that lurk just behind the veil and how to get rid of them, much less see any threats from countless universes and dimensions that threaten this world before the danger arrives (and even less have fractions of his experience whom reliably deals with them on a regular basis). He still holds the title of Sorcerer Supreme, despite whatever law is put into place, or anything else for that matter. But how much of that leeway is granted to him still?
And furthermore, how can he help set things right?
Potential ships:
Clea, the love of his life even if they are, technically, separated by distance (and I won’t hear otherwise, no matter what Marvel chooses to do with this relationship tbh save for Night Nurse – that one I accept). He’s still quite loyal to her, despite the distance. They’re still married to me (as the divorce doesn’t seem to have actually happened yet and well after Civil War but Marvel is very “??? What even is a Clea????” anyway so maybe it never will). If we get a Clea I’ll talk it out with them and see what they want to do. But for now? Yeah hell yeah that’s some good shit and I want that good shit in my life.
Wong, his dearest, closest friend and companion since he became Sorcerer Supreme, and honestly keeps him alive. Seriously, Stephen forgets eating and drinking if he’s working on something. If it weren’t for Wong, there’s very little doubt that he wouldn’t be ticking at this point.
These are the two most important people still in his life to some capacity. I’m also very okay with this and it’s also good shit I’d love to have in my life.
For people already in the group, then with Tony it’s obviously quite a bit estranged. I wouldn’t go as far as to say completely negative, though. Stephen still respects him, but there’s a strong sense of disappointment there; whether that’s more towards himself or not is up in the air.
With Bruce… No. :( I refUSE.
Most people that know about him probably see Stephen as the go-to guy for paranormal bullshit which is fine by him tbh, whether it’s more than kooky to just crazy varies across the spectrum.
Really, though, it depends on chemistry; I’m open to about anything – I just have a very strong Clea bias. |’: Srs they’re the cutest marvel couple and I cry every time tbh.
Para sample:
The wild goose chase had all came down to this – all that stood between the universe as everyone knew it, or utter and complete chaos. This parasitic creature leered down at him as if it had already won. Stephen and Shuma-Gorath were within his master’s mind itself, waging a battle between the two like no other Stephen had ever faced before - nor could ever imagine. The God that was prophesied to rule Earth once more, and would spread itself out to rule countless dimensions, worlds, and galaxies if Stephen lost or if his master died. This knowledge was a difficult one to carry on his shoulders. He couldn’t possibly win against this thing, even with all of his progress or power. And a creeping realization hit him as his thought double began to crack under the constrictions of Shuma-Gorath’s limbs. He received nothing in his attempt to search within this perception of himself that ideally would have had some clue as to what the Ancient One had in mind for stopping the celestial being, and certainly nothing of use.
“Your struggle is futile, Strange! You are only giving me more power,” And worst of all, he knew then that the creature was telling the truth. He hadn’t been buying either of them any amount of time - he was doing the opposite, in fact. His mind went into overdrive as his struggles only seemed to make it more gleeful. It continued, “So struggle! You are only hastening you and your Ancient One’s demise!” Shuma-Gorath cackled as the bones of his double cracked under the god’s tentacles.
That left… No. He couldn’t do that. He didn’t want to do that - but he had to do something no doctor would ever want to do, much less to someone he trusted intimately. It would be the only way to stop Shuma-Gorath from draining the Ancient One’s might completely and keep countless worlds and dimensions safe from its grasp, but it would still spell the end for his beloved master. He would be breaking an oath he held above all else in the process, before those he gave to Hoggoth, Agamotto, and Oshtur… but there was no choice in the matter. Maybe this will buy me some time… Stephen parted with the thought body double and attempted to slip away under an invisibility spell, but Shuma-Gorath was on to his trick in a matter of seconds and was hot on Stephen’s trail.
“You will not escape me, little speck!” Shuma-Gorath snarled as it dove after Stephen. And on he spiraled down, further into his master’s mind, weaving through neurons and nerves with his foe’s tendrils just barely missing him on more than a handful of occasions. Far too close for comfort, he flew in and out of the Ancient One’s mental defenses until he found what he was looking for, with Shuma-Gorath not far behind him. Once it seemed to figure out Stephen’s idea, it seemed shocked, for the lack of a better word or phrase, and the young magician quickly became an afterthought. “If you destroy him, you will die with us,” the god threatened even as it shuddered visibly, and Stephen understood the risks before it even spoke. Briefly, Stephen thought of Lu, of Illyana, and even Mordo and Dormammu (and of his niece–), and so many others that likely had no idea about this battle that was taking place.
“This speck is fully prepared to make that decision.” Stephen spat back as he approached the bright vessel before Shuma Gorath could follow him or react, even if it wanted to. He would have to destroy his master’s ego - his master’s very self - in order to keep Shuma-Gorath from escaping and wreaking havoc on Earth or anywhere else. Stephen breached the cell, and was shrouded in darkness almost immediately. A small flicker of panic rose in Stephen’s chest as Stephen turned this way and that in an attempt to find whatever was left from the ticking clock in Stephen’s mind. But this darkness did not bode well at all. Am I too late – No, I see it! A small spark that continued to flicker in the relative darkness, and as Stephen drew closer, the dread and relief grew. He wasn’t too late after all, and he thanked the Vishanti for that favor. His beloved master seemed to be in a state of serenity - one that Stephen had seen many, many times before, and Stephen’s gut told him that what he was about to do was wrong. But what other choice did he have to make? “I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry,” He apologized softly even though he was doubtful that his master could even hear Stephen in this state, or this far down in his mind, but Stephen… Stephen knew what had to be done, and he had to do it now.
What was the life of one man (ready to die and had been preparing for it for the majority of the week before this very moment) to several billions? Or entire worlds and realities? Stephen lifted his hands and readied his spell, and whispered a silent prayer that this decision was the right one - that it would not damn him for what happened next.
Anything else?

Would you be open to accepting a Kurt Wagner?

We would love to have a Kurt! By the sheer amount of mutants we got, I’m pretty sure the X-Men would throw a damn party.
