Metaphysician/Karpin 001 Proposal - The Stillborn City

After nearly a year of drafting and re-drafting, here is the strange odyssey of Agent Kennedy as she learns everything one could hope to learn about the Sarkic world. And then more.

Originally a draft by Meta for the 3000 contest, it was never finished. Now, after a year of our collaborating, it is in a new form, almost completely rewritten and yet intended to preserve his original vision.

It's about 15k words, and is one of the most ambitious things I have ever been involved in writing.

i think people should tie in humorism which is kind of a core part of the original 2264 article more i think its such a cool concept that is so often overlooked and it makes me sadddddd :-(((((

tying into the first point i think i really like metaphysicians idea that alagadda's culture is more dependant on the perception of the people who enter it rather it being a fixated culture (italian/renaissance/venetian cultures). i feel like its easier to write alagadda like that though and i think people just like how unique and macabre venetian culture is . but . i also think itd be cool to see the lords bearing masks that resemble the cultures that we'd see them in (like that one brazillian miku trend but evil and fucked up) hawk tuit fellas cheerio okkkk hc time 😛 GET READY ITS ALOT time to rock Your world Alagaddatumblr

i know the "Nevermeant" is just a fun little reference to mr. physicians sideblog but i think in 2264 it's referenced as an actual place. thus i've decided in alagaddan terms the Nevermeant is an ocean that surrounds alagadda

alagadda is an island in an ocean of black water. its kind of like the river styx except its the ocean. traversing it is basically impossible and the ashes and souls of half eaten gods/reality benders live in them so really only the ambassador goes across there.

scp 012 was composed for him by his counterparts/patrons but he hated it so much he throwed it away and made carlo gesualdo make a machine to make music for him (scp 6624 but i might have this hc mixed up its been a while since i put thought into it)

in relation to that; music in alagadda is reaaallyyy weird and fucked up and incomprehensible and citrinitipiss is the only one who really appreciates music as is (he finds human music the most appealing and actiiiivellyyy seeks it out / to recreate it to the best of ability)

in my hc pretty much all the lords have an identity crisis that is either ongoing or is beyond repair.

for albedo, in relation to jungian ideas of ego, dreams,and the process of building ideas of self. theres the 2nd stage of individuation, “the marriage between male and female", albedo teeters the options of loyalty and their own individuality. Albedo chooses loyalty, thus erasing any and all individuality they once had. So maybe it’s more of a divorce lmfao.

nigredos anguish is hardly even his own. In reference to Jung’s interpretation of Nigredo- “We realize in sorrow that what we thought were truths were illusory”. At some point or another, Nigredo witnesses the truth of how terrible Alagadda’s ruling system works (cough the Ambassador cough) and the true misery of his own state of being. i think he secretly (or not so secretly idk i haven’t written it out yet), wants to reinstate Alagadda to its former, proper glory. or wants it for himself like in 6500. fuck if i know i just work here.

i highkey hate rubedo and i think his joviality is what makes him scary. imo hes the worst. im talking straight fucking evil. he mingles with the citizens of alagadda and has his own shitty fucking bar but its all fake as fuck. he hates his life. he hates himself. he hates the king. but he goes along with it anyway because tf else is he gonna do?? that one story of him trying to become charlie Fucking chaplain is just one of his many attempts to become someone else.

Another big attempt is when he tried to take nigredos Face. i think this page from my document that i had to reread sums it up uh pretty good

the ambassador is a reality bending god who likes to Eat other gods!

nigredo gets banished and its all rubedos fault. rubedo wants to Be nigredo and tries to have him killed to have his mask but oops nigredo escapes...

citrinitas is probably the most normal one out of all of them in my hc.

tldr i like alagadda a normal amount. its 3 am im going to bed byeeee

just wanted to come and say hi! im alive! ive been out of comission for a hot minute because of ... 1.) university sure is a bitch and 2.) i kinda fell out of all my hobbies for a second because of reason 1.

but i am in fact working on things! i know i have a bad habit of losing motivation on projects, or fall out of love with them but i really do want to keep at it with the things ive already put so much love and effort into. if not for my friends then... for myself!

soo some updates for my friends

1. im rewriting agonaeum, or what i have already. i privated the story on ao3 because i just dont really feel like its ready, and i feel like the dialogue is clunky and after sitting on the overall story i had, i feel like the first few chapters i had out just dont reflect the direction i want the story to head into.

because im rewriting it, im also planning to rewrite some of the characters? not sure yet we'll see how i feel about it.

2. i feel like my art isnt where i want it to be at. but im going to try to practice now that i have (some) more free time, in the small moments i can. ill try to be more active on here since twitter is a shithole now.

speaking of twitter.. im STILL INCREDIBLY ACTIVE ON TWITTER and although for a few months it became more of a personal account to document the transition to college, ive been back and if i can i would like to post more wips, doodles, and other scp jokes and shitposts etc on there. of course i will (try) to do that on here but i want this blog to be more finished pieces + additions to lore i have for agonaeum.
