Hey, French Anon! I'm sorry if you had to go through panic attacks, they're no fun at all. You are strong, it will get better.

I think Mason knows sooo many breathing exercices, and would help you through an anxiety attack by having you focusing on your breath. They would hold you if you feel comfortable with it, they definitively express themselves and show empathy with touch a lot. They'd reassure you verbally, and when the crisis over, would try to understand what triggered it so they could avoid it in the future.

Hi again French Anon, and do not apologize! That's what my ask box is open for, haha. Also, I hope your pain will go away, or at least get better soon - do not forget to reach out to a medical professional if it's needed, if it persists or what not - and I wish you the patience, the courage, the self-love needed in such moments.

I think Mason would freak out a bit, to be honest. Being in the caring role can be complicated, especially when one feels they can not help much. But they would try their very best - if not by taking your pain away, by distracting you from it, or at the very least, by staying at your side.

They would cancel their plans, including their work ones, to stay with you. They would remind you to take your meds, and they would curl up in bed with you. If you need darkness and silence, they would just stay around, kissing and hugging. If you would prefer to have distractions, they would show you their favorite movies, and even sing to amuse you.

Of course, they would cook your comfort meal, and fuss over you, maybe a little bit too much - you would have to tell them to relax. x)

About the headcanon, yes, of course. I can elaborate. ^-^ As much as I see them as a loving and caring partner, I also think they aren't afraid of conflict and would not avoid it. They wouldn't give you the "silent treatment", nor would they get into raising their voice... Instead, I imagine their defensive reaction to be b*tchiness. Their words would definitively sting, and they would be unfairly using things against you. Not your identity, or your vulnerabilities, or anything important like that, but more... You know, the little routine things of a daily life. Such as the moments you may have felt embarassed, the mistakes you have made - that one time they took the public blame for something you have done, or that you accidentally shredded a script they should have been learning, or that you were late for a date.... Or what not.

They would never be insulting or turning against you the secrets/vulnerabilities/insecurities you would have confided to them, but the rest? Be ready to hear about that one time you lost their bracelet when they had let you borrowing it.

It would sting, but just for a while. Because once they would have calmed down, well, they would apologize. Kind of. Do not expect grand apologies, they are rather proud and proud persons... Have difficulties apologizing. But you would know the conflict time is over, through cuddles and kisses.

With time, learning to know them, you would also learn not to take those little sharp arguments to much at heart - their b*tchiness would be just that: The heath of the moment and of the emotional, words one doesn't mean, during silly conflicts ending up solved. ^-^

But yeah: They scratch and bite. ;)

Hi again! So, without going into to much detail, at school, I’m being purposely misgendered at deadnamed by both students and teachers + I have gender dysphoria and French is very gendered.

I was wondering how you think Mason would react or help if you had gender dysphoria/were being bullied at school if you were trans.

Hello again, French Anon! I received your second Ask, to confirm if I had received this one, but as you were no longer Anonymous on it, I decided not to publish it. Just in case it would make you uncomfortable. ^-^

First of all: I am sorry you are going through such difficult times. Dysphoria sucks, people being purposely mean sucks, bullying is awful, and I am really sorry. I am sending you all the support, the positivity vibes and the fondness in my heart for you, but I am aware it isn't enough.

There is ressources available all around the world - including in France - to help, better than I ever could. Do not hesitate to reach out: Asking for help is a proof of strenght, not of weakness. There is emergencies numbers, and legal ways, but also many support groups and associations of LGBT+ people. Being in contact, IRL ideally, when our Queer siblings, is often an important part of being Queer. It can help a lot: I hope that your situation will get better soon.

Secondly, and I am talking for myself: I try very hard to force myself to be comfortable with gendered terms, when I can, because yeah. It really sucks to be in a gendered language. So instead of searching for a neutral alternative, I personally chose to go and try to use both gendered terms equally, on a whim if you may. Je suis heureuse, certains jours, et je suis très heureux aujourd'hui.

Sometimes, in french spoken language, there is terms sounding the same whatever gender you have, so I use them: Je suis magnifique. Je suis ravi.e.

It may helps alleviates some dysphoria. To try and remember that it doesn't matter what other people see you as, because you know better than them. A bit of arrogance in your own mind, if you see what I mean. "What, you think I am [AGAB]? ...How stupid you are." It helps me to some extent, to deal with the whole stuff, but some days are harder than others... And that's okay. It's going to be okay.

Please, reach out for help if you need it, and remember better days are coming.

About Mason, they are clearly a Trans-Activist, and they would totally protect you, in the best of their abilities. They would support you through this challenge, either by helping you, cheering you up and being by your side when you are in private - showing to you the greatness of Queerness, through celebrations, meetings with other people in the community, public events... Or they would help you through legal ways, if that's you want and need. They would listen to you. They would remind you of how great, how amazing and unique, and important you are.
