Started to draw the meme but it’s been so long since i’ve drawn anything. I really wanted to do the barbie/ken challenge but have no motivation to finish it. Anyone want to take this quick sketch and run with it?

Hey friends, some of you know I am working on a post-Endgame fic. I have been working on art as well for the story but haven’t really felt like doing anything lately. Here is a snippet (I have not edited yet forgive my typos) without giving anything away and a quick shitty sketch to illustrate it. I have some drawings in the vault but probably won’t post them until the story is done. I will post it on AO3 when it’s done under @officialebonymaw

The despair had been eating him alive, gnawing at his bones until they ached. He could feel himself shrinking from deep within. Curdling like sour milk.

He was disappearing from the inside out! Gaunt and neglected. Hideous in his own misery. It was as if winter had swiftly spread throughout his entire body, leaving him ridged and fraught with the certitude of an eternity of suffering.

Tony.

He felt nothing else. Thought of nothing else.

He was too consumed by the frozen bars of his troubled thoughts and the constricted thump thump of his own empty heart.

If he had asked- they would have told him that it had been his choice, but it wasn’t what he wanted.

And to live with this choice was as if he had died too.

He ate little, slept little. His mind occupied with what could be rather than what was.

He thought often of the way Tony’s face had looked after that final battle, listless and empty. It haunted him. He thought of ending his own suffering many times but he’d endured finality long enough and the grandiosity of suicide exhausted him further.

If Stephen were physically drowning then at least there would be a final act to his suffering or his mind would say “you must swim!” He could flap his arms and legs wildly and perhaps he could make it to the surface if he really tried.

But instead, his mind said nothing and so his body remained motionless and still. His sorrow continued to grow.

If he were to express his grief people would smile and nod their heads in agreement and then sigh and say, “yes, what a terrible thing this is. I’m very sorry.” This would do nothing to help him, for they did not truly understand the enormity of his loss or the wretchedness of his decision. And so their placating was without truth and it would not soothe him.

So there the sorcerer sat, alone and in the darkness and he dreamt of Tony and of daylight. He was alone.
