  MAX GOLDSTEIN ANNOUNCES RETURN OF RENOWNED MAXSHH BLOG

    POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – March 27, 2013 – Vassar College sophomore Max Goldstein announced today that Maxshh, the widely celebrated Tumblr music blog, will be making its highly anticipated return today with postings of both My Bloody Valentine and Pavement.  This follows a roughly two month hiatus during which postings had ceased due to “unspecified circumstances.”

It was also announced today that Tumblr, the micro-blogging platform and social networking website founded in 2007, has repealed its longstanding tyrannous policy limiting users to just one uploaded song every 24 hours, thereby allowing Goldstein’s re-launch to include the esteemed double bill.

  “We're very excited to have Max Goldstein back on the site,” said David Karp, Tumblr CEO and Founder.  “His Blog has consistently posted among the most interesting, diverse, and entertaining music choices available anywhere on the internet.  Since the unfortunate hiatus, we’ve received numerous complaints to our customer service center, and our web traffic has seen significant decreases overall.”

  "I am thrilled to return to Tumblr through my Maxshh blog,” said Goldstein.  “I have a lot of great choices stored up, many more exciting ones to come, and have greatly missed the opportunity to interact with my many loyal followers and the music community at large.”

  Maxshh was established in the Fall of 2011, initially showing artistic doodles, odd charts and quotes, and miscellaneous pictures, including the infamous ‘pancakes cheeseburger’, before evolving to full-time music posts.  The first artist featured was Omar Rodriguez Lopez on September 26, 2011, who has been honored five subsequent times.  Maxshh has since expanded to include 190 artists and 475 total song posts to date, including today’s dual entries.  The Beatles, with 14 postings, are the blog’s all-time most frequent choice, followed closely by Yo La Tengo with 13, and Hella and Don Caballero tied with 12.   A list of single artist posts covers an eclectic array including The Bottle Rockets, Charles Mingus, Dead Kennedys, Frank Zappa, Sebadoh, Simon & Garfunkel and Arthur Rubenstein.  Goldstein’s selections have also included the unfortunate Death Grips post of November 13, 2012, which caused the temporary shut-down of all Tumblr service.
