Okay, I’m committing myself to using tumblr again! I really want to use this platform to give regular story updates without clogging up the AO3 end notes and to explain random hiatuses.

So, if anyone at all is here from Ruthless, hello, I am alive 😃

I have edited every single chapter (there are guaranteed to still be SPAG mistakes but oh well) and now the plot inconsistencies and discontinuities have finally been sorted, and some important scenes have been slightly adjusted. I’m not expecting long-time readers to reread, so I’m sorry for any future confusion!

I also decided to remove all the pre-tagging because I don’t want to spoil anything. Therefore, reader discretion is advised (but content warnings will be in top notes).

The last few months I wanted nothing more than to write, but things have been so genuinely busy and stressful that I’ve been unable to. I’m manifesting a much better year for 2025, even though it’s already looking to be a hard one :’)

I’m soooo excited to continue Alexander and Byron’s story! I’m so thankful for my readers. See you guys soon with another update!

A Hannibal AU where Hannibal finds a beautiful merman on the beach and instantly becomes enthralled. The merman is equally curious about Hannibal, and slowly, Hannibal gains the trust of the strangely beautiful yet vicious creature. Overtime, their bond strengthens and they even figure out a way to communicate with one another. Hannibal slowly becomes obsessed until finally he takes the creature against its will, having built an aquarium in his house just to keep the creature contained. The creature loses all the trust it had of Hannibal, but Hannibal is certain he can make the creature fall in love with him with time.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Honestly though - it’s so refreshing seeing a plot involving two same sex love interests that actually goes somewhere. The whole ‘two guys who feel things for one another but are constantly lost in miscommunication arcs and gags’ is so tiring (yes, looking at you, what we do in the shadows). I know Neil gaiman already said they’re in love, but it’s so nice to have it shown explicitly rather than just word of mouth.

Now I can procrastinate my exam by reading fanfics 👍
