If I had a nickel for every time I read a series of text posts about the gay relationship between Dr. Doofenshmirtz and  Agent Perry the Platypus, I’d have two nickels. That’s not a lot...but it’s still pretty fucking weird that it happened twice actually.

the dynamic between heinz doofenschmirtz and perry the platypus would probably come off as v romantic and gay if they were two people in a similar age range rather than a dude and a platypus. no i dont ship them but think about it. villainous monologues are already a very romantic and gay thing in itself (don’t question me on this you know im right). listening to somebody ramble excitedly about something they’re proud of is even more romantic and cute af. also doofensmirtz is already gay anyway. the only thing preventing this from becoming Peak Gay is the fact that perry is strictly professional and also a platypus. thanks for coming to my ted talk

Jealousy and possession in the romances of Star Wars

I’ve seen a lot of concern recently about Rose acting jealous of Rey in the novelization. I get it.. no one wants to see a Rey-Rose cat fight.

But guys, I’m convinced that it won’t happen, and that we Reylos and FinnRosers shouldn’t be worried in the slightest. Why?

Jealousy, or its darker twin, possessiveness, are hallmarks of Star Wars romances. They’ve always been there. Further, although possessiveness is bad for relationships, a little jealousy can actually be a good thing.

Before we get started, some warnings: A) this meta is heavily Reylo focused, because of course, and B) it discusses Kylo’s jealousy and possession as the direct result of his primal drive and desire to have sex with Rey. 

Look away if you’re uncomfortable with aggressive / primal sexual themes, or if you’re underage.
