New Complementary VoxBox from Influenster and DoveMenCare!

So I received this lovely little collection of Dove products from Influenster and this came in the Clean Comfort scent. I’ve used these products before only in a different scent, which I believe is called Extra Fresh. I received the Extra Fresh collection complementary through Influenster as well to testing purposes and I will say one of these three products has totally been my go-to since I first tried it out so, I’m pretty happy they sent me this new collection.

I’m going to start out with the product on the far left, which is the Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort 2-in-1 Dandruff Defense Shampoo and Conditioner, talk about a mouthful.

Anyway, I will start with saying I don’t have dandruff and haven’t suffered from it in the past so I don’t know how well this product works for that issue, but I’m not all that impressed or pleased with it. I’ve never been a fan of 2-in-1 shampoos, they always leave my hair feeling dry and unconditioned and this product is no different. The scent is very nice, more on the masculine side if you ask me, but still has a clean, fresh laundry kind of scent to it that’s very pleasing, though the scent consistency between these three product does vary quite a bit. This product being the most masculine smelling. The consistency of this shampoo was nice, not extremely running and lathered quite well, rinsed out easily enough too. The only real issue I had was afterwards, again, other than leaving my hair feeling dry/unconditioned and I noticed it seem to give my dandruff. My scalp was very dry afterwards and seemed somewhat flaky. So, of course I disconnected use, but maybe this would work better for someone who currently had dandruff.

Moving on, the next product we have is the Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Dry Spray Antiperspirant! Okay! So, this is the product that has become my main go-to item when it comes to deodorants, life changing even! Cute little bottle that holds quite a bit and is powerful enough to last all day! The scent isn’t my favorite, but is definitely growing on me. It’s got this clean smell, but a bit more on the baby powder side and not as musky or masculine smelling as the shampoo does. I normally don’t like antiperspirants as they tend to irritate my skin, but this product is different! As I said previously, I’ve used this product before as I have received a similar box just in a different scent. So, I’ve been using this spray deodorant for over a month or so now and I’ve had no issues with skin irritation, which has made this my go to in deodorants!

Last, but not really least is the Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body And Face Wash. Now this product is pretty good and I actually quite liked it. Like I’ve said previously I have use this product before in the Extra Fresh scent and this one was surprisingly different. The consistency was improved, previously it was more of a gel and very runny, but this one is creamy and easily to handle and lathers really well. The scent was nice too, like I said the scent seems to vary between the products in this collection and I found this one to also have that clean scent, slightly more musky/floral, but still a bit masculine smelly, but not as masculine as the shampoo. I did quite like this scent and really found no issues with using it. I did try using it as a face wash as well and it wasn’t bad at all, though I do moisturizer right after showering, so not too sure how it will leave your skin without moisturizing.

Overall, I can say I’m very pleased with the complementary gift from Influenster and Dove Men+Care, these products work pretty well and of course I do have my favorite out of the group and I look forward to trying out more products. I’d definitely recommend the deodorant spray and the body wash, shampoo not so much, but hey, give it a shot if you have dandruff, it may actually help!

Influenster VoxBox!

I just received a new complementary VoxBox from Influenster and this time inside was a Barbasol Ultra 6 Plus Razor and shaving cream!

Being that I shave made this the perfect VoxBox for me. I was surprised to see it was an actual razor and cartridge replacement, these are always better than disposable razors in my opinion. The quality of the razor was really nice, had a great feel while holding it and with a pivoting head and 6 blades, shaving was quick and easy! I didn’t have to go back and re-razor for a closer cut, the 6 blades made one pass all you need. I’m not too sure on the cost as this was complementary for testing purposes, but it’s definitely something I will look into for replacement cartridges. I’ve used other multiple blade razors before and having 6 plus the way the razor is designed makes it so much easier to use. I would definitely recommend this product to someone looking for a new razor.

The shaving cream also wasn’t that bad, it was super foamy and kind of thick, but lathered really well (a little goes a long way) and rinsed off easily. The only think I wasn’t too keen on was the scent, it’s very manly I would say, reminds me of something my dad or granddad would use. Overall though, it’s a good shaving cream and does the job just fine.
