So I have a question in the district au since Lenore dove probably didn’t die what is her and Haymitchs kids name if they had kids, I named mine Ophelia may (yes may is a color of green).

And also do you think Lenore dove would take in Katniss so she would be more happy and covey girl like?

Her name is Molly Iris, named after both the flower and the color, a simple yet meaningful name that fits seamlessly into District life. It’s short, soft, and strong all at once. She’s an only child, not by choice but by circumstance. Lenore Dove faced serious complications during Molly’s birth, and the risk of another pregnancy was too high to try again. So all of Lenore’s Dove hopes, love, and quiet dreams are poured into Molly Iris, her one and only.

I don’t have a design of her yet, wasn’t able to think of anything yet

Molly Iris was originally named Molly Lavender but I scrapped that as it didn’t sound as good

She would definitely be better nourished living with Haymitch and Lenore Dove in the Victor’s Village, healthier, safer, with more consistent care. Life wise, the odds would certainly be more in her favor. But happiness? That’s harder to say. Her mother is still wrapped in grief, her father still gone, and the Victor’s Village remains what we’ve seen before: cold, quiet, and isolating. It might be the best place for the sisters to be raised secure, protected but that doesn’t guarantee joy. The story still carries its weight. Safety is one thing; healing is another.

They would, however, feel more genuinely loved by what remains of the Covey. In my AU, that includes a circle of distant cousins, Molly Iris, and Lucy Gray herself. That doesn’t make everything that happened less tragic or traumatic.

Very belated mothers day artwork of Janus taking his first step on that very special day ✨

Lucy Gray was overjoyed her little boy wasn’t just crawling anymore; he was walking. Step by unsteady step, Janus made his way across the room, his tiny arms outstretched, his eyes locked on hers. Her heart swelled with pride and wonder. She dropped to her knees, arms open wide, a laugh bubbling through the livingroom.

Coriolanus saw it too. He stood at a distance, careful not to intrude on the moment. There was a gentleness in his restraint quiet, respectful, and deeply aware of what this meant to her. He didn’t speak, didn’t move, just watched. But when Janus finally stumbled into Lucy Gray’s embrace, Coriolanus clapped. Softly, but sincerely. A private applause for a milestone that felt like a small miracle.

She talked about it all the way until bedtime, reliving every little step with sparkling eyes and animated gestures. Coriolanus listened patiently, Lucy Gray giggled in excitement.

District AU: Lenore Dove Baird

Lenore Dove got a slight redesign!

I thought it’d be a good idea to finally make a reference sheet for my designs and honestly, I’m considering doing the same for all of my AU characters, or at least the main ones. It’s so much easier to create art when there’s an actual ref sheet to work from.

That said, this one took me ages to finish ^^’

I’ll probably end up changing her outfit in every artwork, just like I do with Lucy Gray, I can never seem to settle on just one look. Still, she will be returning to her old simple dress from time to time. I absolutely fell in love with it XD

Mayfair passed away just days after Billy Taupe was struck by a truck, an …’unfortunate’ accident that led to his untimely death but nonetheless self inflicted by his pride. The event left behind three little goslings who had witnessed everything right up to their mother’s final breath.

Though Mayfair hadn’t been the most attentive mother, the goslings had nonetheless imprinted on her. Her loss left them confused and heartbroken, their tiny hearts heavy with grief.

Soon after, Foxy Gray returned, hoping to snatch the now-orphaned goslings for herself. But she was met by the fierce and unwavering presence of Barb Azure and her mate, Emily—two guardians who were woken by the event and had already taken the young ones under their wings. With their protective instincts in full force, they made it clear: if Foxy Gray so much as looked at the goslings the wrong way, she’d have a fight on her paws.

So capital au how would Haymitch react to Lucy gray would he like call her a traitor and murder or would he feel sympathetic to her?

That’s a great question, and honestly, it’s layered. Based on what I’ve developed so far, I think Haymitch would react harshly when he first learns who Lucy Gray really is — not as a victor, but as a Covey. He might call her cruel names or lash out verbally, but not out of true malice. Rather, it would come from the emotional chaos of an irrational, grieving teenager who’s just lost almost everything.

How he finds out:

As far as its thought through, still a wip

Their first meeting takes place at Haymitch’s bird cage. Lucy treats Gray him with unexpected kindness offering him food and water, showing him respect and decency, which stands in stark contrast to how others treat him. In their conversation, she tries to comfort him by asking about his loved ones and what he plans to do now. He talks about Ma and Sid, the place they live in like seeing the bright side of it to cope better with the guilt and nightmares that will linger That’s when the emotional bomb drops: Haymitch tells her about Lenore Dove and his personal connection with the covey. The love he has for his girl and her family.

Realizing the gravity of the situation and overwhelmed by guilt and sadness, Lucy Gray quietly excuses herself. She leaves him behind confused.

At this point, Lucy Gray doesn’t explain her side or reveal her full identity. Instead, it feels more powerful and more haunting to have Tam Amber and CC be the ones who step in. Later, in a quiet moment, Haymitch casually mentions Lucy Gray to Lenore Dove, not knowing her name or true background. The older Covey members overhear the conversation and immediately recognize who he’s talking about. That’s when the truth begins to unravel for Haymitch. He starts piecing together who Lucy Gray really was and perhaps, more importantly, why Lenore Dove never wanted to speak about the first victor.

As the Victors’ Tour comes to a close, Haymitch confronts Lucy Gray during the grand party privately, because doing it publicly, especially in front of Snow, would be dangerous for everyone involved. He lashes out, accusing her of abandoning her people and her past, and living in luxury beside the man who destroyed his family. His words are raw, emotional, and unfair especially since he knows nothing about what really happened to her, or the circumstances that forced her away.

But Lucy Gray doesn’t respond with anger. She sees the pain behind his words and understands that, as cruel as he may sound, he’s still just a grieving, broken kid. She listens, lets him vent, and eventually, they manage to talk things through even if it’s tense, even if it’s far from perfect. It’s not about resolving everything, but beginning to understand each other.

By the end of their conversation, Lucy Gray quietly asks to meet Lenore Dove.

Meet the Covey flock ✨🪿

Tam Amber, the gentle and quiet giant, is one of the least likely Canada geese to attack anyone. Alongside Barb Azure and her mate Emily, Tam Amber leads the flock south each migration season.

Maude Ivory, the youngest member with CC, has just discovered her honk and she makes sure everyone knows it! In contrast to Clerk Carmine who hasnt found his honk yet, is more irritable and annoyed than anyone else, a bit embarrassed even. He inst mute, just his peeps are not something he can be proud of yet.

Then there’s Billy Taupe CCs older brother and Mayfair. Mayfair joined the flock roughly a year ago just because she found interest in Billy and has been a constant source of trouble for Goosey Gray, Billy Tapes soon to be mate ever since — responsible for Goosey’s broken wing, leaving her behind to die and even managing to get in between her and Billy Taupe (which, in hindsight was for the best)

Billy Taupe on the other hand, ever reckless, frequently puts himself and the flock in danger. Tam Amber has grown frustrated with his antics, being challenged for leadership whenever Billy Taupe feels like it. Simply Grown annoyed of it that he completely avoids him by now. Fortunately for all of them, Covey sticks together, no matter what 🪿✨ …except u mayfair ur days are counted 🪿🦊

Hi I have another question but who is president in the other universe where Coriolanus stayed with Lucy gray in district 12, and if snows a peacekeeper in this au dose that mean Lenore dove gets into more trouble cause her uncle busts her out.

Hi welcome back!

1. I never really thought about who would have become president if Coriolanus had stayed in District 12 with Lucy Gray. One thing’s for sure: I wouldn’t pick any of the characters we already know, or even one of his classmates. Snow was uniquely sharp, but not uniquely evil, in my opinion. Anyone could have been just as cruel and power-hungry if given the chance. Maybe Dr. Gaul would have found another protégé after Coriolanus failed his little district test and never returned to the Capitol. The new president would likely be someone we don’t know, just as ruthless toward the districts, but without Snow’s sharp mind.

2. By the time Lenore Dove is born and raised by the remnants of the Covey, Coriolanus isn’t just a Peacekeeper anymore, he’s the commander of District 12. And Lenore Dove? She’s a constant headache. She always manages to get herself into trouble, because really, what’s he going to do? Scold her? Put her in time-out? He tries, lecturing her endlessly and keeping her stuck in his office for hours, forcing her to listen to another one of his “valuable life lessons” about freedom, discipline, and responsibility.

But deep down, he’s exhausted. Lenore Dove reminds him so much of Clementine Auburn, wild and stubborn, and he had been genuinely relieved when his own daughter eventually grew out of that rebellious phase. Now it’s happening all over again, and Coriolanus knows he’s far too old and tired for this kind of nonsense. Half the Peacekeeper unit probably knows Lenore Dove by name and exactly where to find her when she’s once again caused some kind of chaos. Some of them have even made a game of it, betting on how long she can stay out of trouble before someone has to drag her back to the commander’s office.

Coriolanus: Tell me, Lenore Dove, what great threat to district society did you commit this time?

Lenore Dove: I sang a song. Technically, that’s called culture. Covey culture.

Coriolanus: You sang The Hanging Tree in front of the mayor. During the remembrance ceremony. In front of children. I thought we talked about this-

Lenore Dove: Children singing! Oh no! Next thing you know, they’ll be thinking too.

Coriolanus: Freedom without order leads to chaos. Chaos leads to rebellion…

Lenore Dove: here we go again…

Coriolanus: …Rebellion leads to ruin. I was there, You know this. We have spent decades building a fragile peace on the ashes of war… and you choose to sing it anyaway?

Lenore Dove: hmm It’s a good song. Catchy. Real earworm.

Coriolanus: The foundations of civilization are built on respect. Discipline. Stability. Not nostalgia for anarchy and bloodshed!

Lenore Dove: … we had a hanging last week… Sooo… no requests for The Hanging Tree at the Hob? Got it.

Coriolanus: This is not a joke!

Lenore Dove: you’re right, it’s a balled.

Coriolanus: I’ll inform your aunt-

Lenore Dove: so she can rip u a new one? Like last time?

Coriolanus: oh yes, perhaps I’m really into that-

Lenore Dove: whoah! to many information, I’m not trying to mentally picture something…

Coriolanus: *sigh* …One day. Just one day without paperwork because of you. That’s all I ask-

Lenore Dove: …admit it I keep u young, and in that case I’m here all week!’Commander’

Later that night he’s ranting and venting to Lucy Gray about everything while Lenore dove is sleeping safe and sound in her bed 🪿

No, in the CapitolAU Lucy Gray doesn’t know of Lenore Dove’s existence as she lost contact with the covey.

I’m still figuring out exactly how I want to approach writing the Capitol AU, especially with sotr as a major influence. Right now, I’m torn between two main directions. The first option is to stick closely to canon and let her die, preserving the original trajectory of her story. The second option is more speculative: what if Lucy Gray discovers that Lenore Dove exists and decides she wants to meet her?

In my opinion both directions have strong potential, especially in terms of character development and deepening emotional relationships. Letting her die could reinforce the themes of loss, resistance, and sacrifice that are core to both the AU and sotr. On the other hand, having Lucy Gray seek out Lenore Dove could open up a new narrative, allowing for unexpected alliances, conflict, and personal growth on both sides. Maybe, maybe.

Either way, I think both routes could add meaningful depth to the characters and their dynamics. I just need to figure out which one fits the tone and emotional arc I’m aiming for qwq’

Lore time!

Even though the Capitol is endlessly obsessed with the idea of pure bloodlines and impeccable pedigrees, the exact dog breed isn’t always what matters most. What truly counts is that you come from a long, traceable line of Capitol-bred stock. Capitol breeds with Capitol—that’s the unspoken rule. While it’s especially prized (and earns you a certain reverence) if you’re of the same breed as your lineage, it’s not absolutely necessary. As long as your ancestry is pure and untouched by district blood, you’re considered acceptable—though the more uniform your breed, the more you’re admired, almost idolized.

Not everyone fits neatly into that ideal. Coriolanus for instance is not purely bred. He is a blend: his mother was a Sylkie and his father a Borzoi. Though he takes after his father in appearance, the mix in his bloodline set him apart. To the untrained eye, he passes for a Borzoi, but to Capitol society—so sharp in its scrutiny, he’s flawed. To look the part, he’d need to trim his coat down, refine it to match the sleek standards of the Borzoi elite. He never did tho.

But no grooming could hide the truth from those who cared to look. In his childhood Livia bullied him for not being a “real” Borzoi. His mixed heritage became something to mock, which fueled his insecurity even if he doesn’t let it show. Livia is just a spiteful bitch, quite literally-

Meanwhile Sejanus faced a different kind of exclusion. Though part purebred on his fathers side, the other half of him is what the Capitol dismissively labels as wild—something untamed, closer to an animal than a refined breed. His outsider status is rooted not just in his origin, but in his convictions. He knows he doesn’t belong in the Capitol and what’s more, he doesn’t want to. He refuses to play the game or mask who he is.

His tall, wolfish build only adds to the unease others feel around him. People aren’t quite sure what he is, and that uncertainty breeds fear. His presence demands attention, but never comfort. What he doesn’t realize is that even in District 12 that feeling of not belonging won’t disappear. If anything it will follow him, echo louder. There too, he’s neither fully wolf nor dog, neither Capitol nor District. Just a peacekeeper—hovering in the in-between, always marked as other.

Mutts are more common in the districts between canines, doesn’t mean they don’t fear or beware of ‘wild animals’ like coyotes, wolves and foxes 🦊

Hey there! Just a heads-up—this is my AU and my take on the story, so things are a bit different around here. I’ve loved the idea of Maude Ivory being Katniss’s grandma for ages, (5 years to be exact) and that’s not changing because of sotr.

Featuring Lucy Gray really big Family line in the District AU! Coriolanus get off of her

Ive only did the Capitol AU before and a few things changed with the new book so let’s dip in!

A few side facts

Olive Pine (15) was the middle child of the three Baird siblings and definitely the more mature one, you couldn't leave Brody green (17) alone especially not with two apple tall Lucy Gray

Munchkin Lucy Gray was a runner and possibly the first official member to wear a rope as kiddy leash

Adelynn Blue was the stricter parent, capable of instilling fear in her two children with just a single glare-except for little Lucy Gray, who seemed immune to it. Some might argue that she inherited that trait later on for her own fledglings. On the other hand, Vincent Yale was a more relaxed father, keeping an eye on the kids being was always ready to step in when necessary.

While inheriting her mothers dresses, the guitar came from her daddy

Lucy Grays Aunt Lorelei Maroon was not married at the time and kept the family name Baird. Her soon to be husband was killed by peacekeepers when she was pregnant with Maude Ivory. She lost her life shortly after Maude Ivory was born due to sickness and infection.

Clementine Auburn inherited Lorelei Maroons Banjo as a gift from Maude Ivory

Maude Ivory also named Clementine after ‘my darling clementine’ the ballads she loved so dearly

Auburn is a tribute to the month she was born in, as the leaves glowed in the early autumn sun that October morning

Barb Azure ‘married’ her Gal down the road, and together they raised a daughter who tragically lost her parents at the tender age of three:

Unfortunately, both Barb Azure and her partner passed away prematurely.

Barb Azure and Emily were not officially married, the last name Baird was symbolic

Emily passed away at 30 from a lung disease

She was not buried on the Covey Graveyard

Barb Azure is Lenore Doves Mother, to be able to pay for Josie Minks doctor visits. She got sick after the same time Emily did, not wanting to loose her daughter as well she did everything that was necessary to secure money.

Josie Mink still passed away, however he did had more time with her mother than expected.

Lenore Doves father is a mystery as Barb Azure genuinely doesn’t know who he is, nor does she care.

Barb Azure (45) gave Birth to Lenore Dove in December and got to spend an hour with her lil girl before she passed away from complications and blood loss.

She was burried next to her lover like in the ballad she was named after ‘Barbara Allen’.

Lenore Dove was raised by Lucy Gray, Coriolanus, CC and Tam Amber

Lucy Gray and Coriolanus have an open secret relationship, everyone knows even when they think they don’t. With Coriolanus climbing the ranks and becoming Commander of 12 Lucy Gray continued to perform even tho they had the money at some point.

They did not move into victors village, even if their living situation would have even better off that way Lucy Gray felt sick to her stomach living in privilege while others had to die for it.

She was happy in a cabin near the forest Coriolanus arranged with his peacekeeper squad

Coriolanus likes to build things

Lucy Gray did loose both of her cousins, almost loosing her life as well during her last pregnancy with Cedar Fern which scared Coriolanus.

Her first bebe (clementine Auburn) was born four years at the age of 20 during Coriolanus last year of officer training, nobody told him for obvious reasons.

The obvious reason: it was out of his control and he would have come back to 12 immediately, nobody wanted that-

Every bebe has its own quirk but only Clementine challenges her father’s authority like there ain’t no one else. (Not only as father but also as commander)

Clementine having a disinterest to each new bebe addition, except for Rosie, she loves Rosie.

The only tributes Lucy Gray mentored and survived the games were family members, which did give her a bad reputation that she wasn’t trying hard enough for their kids.

Lenore Dove survives, however the circumstances Haymitchs family was doomed in both realities.
