Natsuo Fuji has a serious crush on one of his teachers, Hina Tachibana, but since he knows he has zero chance of ever being in a relationship with her, he lets his friends talk him into going to a party where he meets Rui. One thing leads to another and then, well, neither of them is a virgin anymore. Unfortunately, it wasn't what they expected, but that's fine. They're just ships passing in the night and they'll never have to see each other again, right? Except when Natsuo's father announces that he's getting married again, Natsuo discovers that he's getting two new step-sisters as well. Now there's a problem, because one is his teacher, Hina, and the other is Rui. (Source: Sentai Filmworks)

!!!!SPOILERS!!!!

~ I made myself sit through the entirety of this anime. The whole concept of step-siblings falling in love is so bad. It’s bad now and has always been. I have soooo many issues with this anime. First of all, the pedophilic behavior of Hina-Sensei just rubs me the wrong way. Not to mention her home-wrecking behavior. Which really comes in clutch throughout this whole series. Rui seemed to be a relatively normal girl until she also started having relations with her step-brother. I understand that her and Natsuo had met previously and had relations so it would make sense that it’d be difficult to put that aside when suddenly being introduced as siblings. Though that is certainly no excuse for her actions afterward. Plus don’t even get me started on Natsuo. The indecisiveness of this boy to not only make moves on a teacher who is now his sister, but to ALSO allow him and Rui to continue their relationship as siblings as well. This whole show made me mad and Rui deserved better. She was treated so poorly this whole show and should have just found someone else who would have loved her.
Rated this show a 3/10 because 1 point for Kobayashi, Reiji, and Fumiya. Best characters for real. Wouldn’t recommend this show to anyone unless they like step-sibling love triangles. Then this show was made for you. (OP goes hard though).

As a first-year student of the renowned Hyakkaou Private Academy, Mary Saotome knows her future is set for a one-way cruise to the top... That is, until an encounter with an old-classmate-turned-housepet throws the newbie princess into the world of gambling! Can a normal girl like Mary make friends and survive debtless through only wit and luck? Find out in this prequel to the mega-popular Kakegurui! (Source: Yen Press)

~Finally the sequel to Kakegurui is out!!! Let me just start by saying that I’ve been reading the manga since last year and have been waiting so patiently for this masterpiece to come out! I’m a little ashamed to admit that I still haven’t finished the manga yet (>w<). BUT! Just so all of you know, this show is no where near being over!! Currently at the time of writing this there are 10 available volumes for people overseas, but 20 otherwise (Source: thesportsgrail.com). I am currently on volume 5 of 10 and the show leaves off at the end of volume 3. Meaning there is so many more episodes to come in the near future!! I absolutely cannot wait as this story was, in my opinion, a much needed backstory of the amazing character that Mary Saotome is. When we are introduced to Mary in Kakegurui we are immediately aware that she’s comfortable to the school and has been through so much to show her incredible strength. I love getting deeper into her story and it’s really important to see where she came from. I will be doing a review of the manga as soon as I finish, but as far as the 6 episodes aired as of right now, I have mixed feelings. In my opinion, the anime did an ok job of representing the manga. There are slight differences that stuck out to me, but as most book-to-show adaptations go, they can’t add every single detail. I especially appreciate the descriptions of the games because, although they are long, they were to the point. The manga had an issue of explaining the games that made it long and confusing. I do wish that Netflix had finished at least a 12 episode season and released them weekly. The quick release of 6 episodes felt rushed and didn’t end in a place that felt comfortable. It also misses the rush that Kakegurui had. The introduction to new characters overtime that each gave a new suspense is what’s especially missing in this series. The format feels too similar and simplified to Kakegurui. Also I really disliked how the first episode began. We’re immediately introduced to a new character who is giving us a backstory of Mary’s first day there and it’s not similar to the manga at all. Overall I think that this adaptation was not what I expected and I hope to see how Netflix does with the next episodes. One thing I did love was the amazing Kakegurui style OP and beautiful ED.
6.8/10 I would recommend to anyone who liked Kakegurui to watch this and follow along Mary’s story if you haven’t read the manga. As it stands now, I definitely prefer the manga.

A secret life is the one thing they have in common. At school, Hori is a prim and perfect social butterfly, but the truth is she's a brash homebody. Meanwhile, under a gloomy facade, Miyamura hides a gentle heart, along with piercings and tattoos. In a chance meeting, they both reveal a side they've never shown. Could this blossom into something new? (Source: Funimation)

~*Breathes in* Ahhhhh. Finally a realistic high school love story. Well, if it were totally realistic we’d all have found our soulmates by now. A lovable cast that all has their own quirks. Making them widen the story into something that isn’t always focused on the main characters. Giving us a fresh air of that classic high school, slice of life story that we all appreciate from time to time. Horimiya will stay in my top 5 romance animes forever, as it depicts the sweet story of two teens falling in love after spending innocent time together and learning that they’ve met their other half. It’s a heartwarming story that will make you laugh, cry, and feel all the emotions and thoughts running through you. So adorably wholesome and definitely a comfort show!
This show gets a 10/10 from me and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wholesome comedy/romance anime to binge watch in one day!
