3 ways to improve your “Social Game”
Is it just me, or is it tiring being told to become a “YES” person just to improve your mood, or help you socialise? - Annoying right!Â
Being a yes person, saying yes to every event or social occasion is not only going to take up too much time in your calender, but it will also put you in a position that you most likely don’t want to be in.
You have to live by your own comfort zone - the number one cliche rules to motivate you is “fake it, till you make it” - no thank you. Faking emotions displaying a fake happiness is something that can be seen on your face by the masses, if you’re not genuinely happy.. trust me, people can tell. Why live by someone else's social game? Its time to live by your own.Â
I too read numerous of books to help me overcome my lack of motivation to participate in events, and put myself in uncomfortable situations just to get me “out there”. However, one day I just thought sod it! - ill try something different, I will only live for me, my benefit and my own emotions, and these are the questions I asked myself before saying yes to the Social Game.Â
1) Write a list of all the places you genuinely ENJOY going to and spending time with peopleÂ
2) Write a list of all the places you DISLIKE going to and spending time with people
3) Write a list of all the places you DONT MIND going to and spending time with people.Â
These 3 lists will identify how you should live in by the social game. There is no reason to go to events with people, where you will feel uncomfortable and forced to “fake it”. You are your own person, you don’t need to follow the social rules of attending every pool party; wedding; christening; taking that phone call or video call ect.Â
Life is short, and you deserve to be happy.Â
I tried this months ago - and now, I decline those invitations were I feel it doesn’t benefit myself. I have never felt better in myself or my life. It is now fully time to understand yourself as a person, taking your likes and dislikes into full consideration.Â
its time to captivate your life.

Hypnosis apps!
I did hypnosis for a month, this is how it changed my life.
Did I believe in hypnosis? Not really, but at that time in my life I was ready to try anything.
I tried a couple of different apps, but found these the best;
- Relieve depression hypnosis - anxiety and mood - by Calm
- Self-Esteem hypnosis - positive daily affirmations.
The interface is clean and works well, when you open it, the listening screen comes up. This app is free of charge to use but has in app purchases - don't they all!
I used each one every night, it found the voices soothing and quickly fell into a trance. My whole body felt at peace, relaxed and my body just fell into my mattress.
The hypnosis lasts for around 30 minutes and has an introduction, the hypnosis and then the end. The free of charge part allows it to bring you back round, calm relaxed and ready for sleep or the day. I must admit, I fell asleep during them! Which I believe works on a subconscious level, if you're willing to pay for the extras, you can change the settings to cut off the introduction and drift off to sleep after the hypnosis has finished.
I liked that part.
It took around the 3 week mark when I really started to notice the difference. I felt calmer and more peaceful, my brain had become less foggy and I was able to concentrate more.
Overall, I really appreciate this app, it recommends after 3 weeks, to listen at least once a week. I totally recommend!
Pros: Free App; Beneficial to the brain; helps with both depression and Anxiety; Many types of apps surrounding different problems (smoking - wealth - love ect).
Cons: introduction everytime, better features are only available due to in app purchases.
