Wilkins and Wontkins

okay, so, I know about these violent coffee commercials of Jim Henson for years now, but I'm reading his biography and it finally motivated me to watch them and...Wilkins has issues and poor, poor Wontkins. And then my little write brain starting going and...
In a few commercials, Wilkins plays as a 'love interest', like in soggy romance and that sleeping beauty one. And those sruck with me. Now here me out.
What if Wilkins and Wontkins are a couple, daring or married, that is about to break up. Wontkins is always just about to bring it up, but Wilkins stops him by violently attacking his caffeine chooses. Now why would Wilkins be so harmful to his other half like this?
Wilkins is a yandere and would rather kill Wontkins than let him leave him.
I'm sorry, I had to share it, let the idea haunt your minds now instead of mine.
And maybe go out for some Wilkins coffee. Or else.

#Its the writer's curse guys#I don't know why my mind works like this#Wilkins and Wontkins#Jim henson#Muppets#Coffee

Underrated Eldest Siblings pt 4
Savage Opress--I know, he killed his brother, but here me out.
Maul gets to be the golden-boy favorite of their mother, the one she fights for, brings back from the grips of madness for, and eventually dies for. Savage is never acknowledged as her son, as she turns him into a monster and a puppet, makes him kill his youngest brother, and she never shows any emotions for him. Savage Opress is not given any life of his own outside of those he serves. Everything he is—his muscles, his powers, his hate—is forced upon him by others. But his love for his brothers is all his own.
And then he is forced to kill his youngest brother. This is the one act I will never forgive Asajj Ventress for—but she will later learn what it is like to lose her sisters. And I like to think she feels bad for it now. But I know for a fact ‘Mother’ Talzin does not. I wonder if Savage was ever able to break free of the spell enough, sometime later, to realize what he had been forced to do to Feral. This is such an underrated tradegy in Star Wars--everyone focuses on the Skywalker family, and Luke saving his father from the dark side. But no one ever did that for Savage. And not could save Feral.
Did he ever think of the childhood Maul lost, ignoring the one that he lost. Did he ever bury his own dreams and aspirations, so that he wouldn’t have to leave his brother (Does Savage ever even say Maul’s name in Clone Wars? Does he ever see the ghost of Feral in the corner of his eyes? I can only ever remember him calling the red zabrak brother).
Growing up, I remember seeing him as nothing but Maul’s tortured muscle. But rewatching his episodes now, all I can feel is pity (okay, I laugh when he bonks hits head off a lighting fixture). And do you want to know my favorite part? When Savage dies. Why? Because Maul cared. In that one moment, we saw beyond the broken, revenge seeker, dark side user. We saw someone who desperately wanted his brother. We saw that Savage mattered to someone, 2 someones in fact—his brothers, Maul and Feral, the Opressed brothers. In death and life, they are always reaching out for him.
Savage Opress was always needed by his brothers. And he always needed them—but he should not have been forced to only live for them. That’s the worst part—he couldn’t be his own character. Everything he was, was dedicated to his brothers.

As an aroace person, I have very complicated feelings regarding Pavlova cookie.
On one hand, he loves to force everyone into romantic relationships and thinks that is the only way to be happy.
On the other hand, he loves dramatizing these relationships as if they were stories (crush-to loves, etc) and he enjoys them ending tragically. I actually do this all the time (I laugh when reading wuthering heights and and judge most real romantic relationships). Also, despite their push on romance, he doesn't seem that concerned with it (I think he's a kid though, so that might have something to do with it).
He's also a huge shipper and has semi-canonized Wildchip so I've got to love him for that.
Am I headcannoning him as aro, who may have internalized arophobia? Yes, yes I am.

Underrated Eldest Siblings Pt 3
Little Mermaid would have been far more enjoyable to me if they focused more on the individual sisters. So I loved getting to know White Pearl’s Cookie large family—and of course, Crimson Coral Cookie was my favorite.
She’s every oldest sibling’s dream—a queen whose siblings ACTUALLY listen to her, she has a mystical bond with animals, and powers! But all that comes with a cost—the heavy weight of the crown is just an extra burden to protecting and raising her sisters. (it's even mentioned she’s seen other gem mermaids come and go, so she might have watched her own older sisters/mentors die).
This could explain why she’s so protective of her super-powered sisters, always been the one to jump into danger, even as the others try to pick up the load for her. And that’s the part that hurts the most about Crimson Coral—her sisters are well aware she puts too much on herself, and they actively try to help her lose the load. But she’ll still take too much, even if it means babying her sisters, specifically White Pearl Cookie.
When White Pearl Cookie teases her sister about being the youngest, I actually feel a bit resentful on Crimson’s behalf. WP joked about being the youngest and how she will always push to do her own thing (in this case, help protect their kingdom). As the oldest, Crimson does not get that choose—not that she doesn’t enjoy the time she has with her siblings. Its just the lack of choose in going beyond her role of leader and oldest. But that isn’t to say the White Pearl, as the youngest, doesn’t suffer from her own uncontroable birth oder in the family.
One of the biggest struggles about being an eldest sibling is letting your siblings make their own mistakes—because its so ingrained in you to save them before they can grow. It hurts both siblings, with the younger feeling like no one believes in them, and possibly start to believe it. We see this happen with White Pearl.
But above all, Crimson is a Queen, and she knows her sisters can handle themselves, even if she needs a remainder sometimes. And when a pirate army is at her door, she knows she can’t protect everyone. But together, her sisters can, even if that means she has to let them go, unprotected.
And the one time she does that, she loses one of her siblings forever. Loosing her beloved baby sister, Crimson Coral Cookie had to deal with her White Pearl growing up—and having to say goodbye. Its a fact every parentified oldest sibling has to go through—and all she has is cold comfort she tells herself to help sleep at night. But she’s a queen, the oldest of her family, who has to lead her people in the aftermath of a battle that destroyed their home. She just has to keep swimming.
#I also love that fact she’s closest to her sea horse. All eldest sibling deserve an animal bestie.#crk Crimson Coral Cookie#Crimson Coral Cookie#crk#Eldest Siblings#Underrated Eldest Siblings#Eldest Sibling syndrome#Guys I didn't mean for this to get so sad

Does anyone else ever wonder what happened to Liv Amara? I know, dropping side characters is any tv show's bread and butter, but she just woke up, after years of hibernation to find herself running a huge company (and does that fact Di hot support when she couldn't mess with her at all). And of course the backlash after everything is revealed--maybe she'll lose the company that isn't hers. How does that even work, legally, as Di posed as Liv? And how does she live, and rebuild, her life? What do people think of her? How does she live with what her actions caused? And does she feel bad for Di? (She just left Di alone with a single mission without any guidance. Yes, she's evil, but I actually felt a stab of pity for that clone).

Underrated Eldest Siblings Pt 2
Continuing my underrated Eldest posts...
Taylor
Taylor has one of the hardest to live with qualities of an oldest sibling; being the most mature person in the room--she has a little sibling to care for all while intensely practicing to be a pitcher next year, battling with her own nerves and Yuwen's insecurities (no hate to Yuwen, but I notice a lot of people hate on Taylor for no reason, and those haters are most likely incels).
We see her mom works as a nurse and most likely has long hours, and while both her parents are obviously protective, supportive, and want the best for their children, but Taylor still spends the most time taking care of Ira (the boy basically been adopted by the entire team). And we can see, despite all she juggles, Ira still sees her as his cool big sis (wish my brothers saw me that way).
A thing I really respect about Taylor--she's an eldest sibling who has her own life. Fiction (or parents) often pigeonholes older siblings to be the unfun ones, the ones who give up everything all so the youngers can go on some grand adventure, especially in stories like Win or Lose. But she's out there, perusing her goals, protecting her brother, having relationships, and having fun. And she also knows when to walk away from a relationship.
We also see she's not afraid to be vulnerable, or the emotionally connect with others--whether its bonding with Yuwen over insecurities or checking in with Tom as he is obviously going through a hard time, Taylor is always there to support her team.
I really wish she had gotten her own episode. But even when seen through the lenses of Ira and Yuwen, we can she is an amazing sibling and person, who doesn't baby others but is always there for them (or to destroy some nuts bleachers kids). Win or lose, Taylor is always up to pitch.
#win or lose#win or lose taylor#win or lose Ira#win or lose Yuwen#Taylor haters please leave the chat#you all wish you had a sister/friend/partner like her#Give her an episode!#Also want to see her and Rochelle hang out--both oldest siblings and pitchers with a lot on their plates#Eldest Siblings#Eldest Sibling Syndrome#Underrated Eldest Siblings

I'm a big reader and you want to know something I find hilarious (and sometimes gross) in romances?
The author has the main couple dress up as charcters for halloween and they choose like the grossest or most unhealthiest duo.
Like, Nothing like the movies had the MCs dressing up as Batman and Batgirl (this is one of those gross examples. Lydia Painter WHAT were you thinking).
And in the seris The Daughters, in the 1st book of the same name (which I love, BTW), the MCs dress up as Daisy and Gatsby from the Great Gatsby, a love which is more about control and money and nostalgia than love. (Yet they act like they are the golden pair or ramntic standards, though I respect the author for doing the instead of the classic Romeo and Juliet cause those two get way too (mistress) overdone).
Like, guys, just why?
#the great gatsby#Lydia painter#The Daughters#Nothing like the movies#I didn't much like that book#They should have stayed broken up#Also--do people really like La La Land?#Also--worse couples costume in history#Did anyone get that shakesphere joke?#Or is Pompey better at jokes then me

Underrated Eldest Siblings pt 1
Hey guys! I was just gonna start posting about the underrated, overworked, and undepreciated eldest fiction siblings. And I am gonna start that with...
Kordi Freemaker of Lego Star Wars!
Fun fact; Did you know Kordi is not the oldest? Zander is. But due to his irresponsibility and obsession with spaceships, Kordi had to take over their family business. This is not a hate on Xander, but I can't imagine what their early life what like without their parents if Xander was in charge. When did Kordi realize her brother couldn't handle it, they she had to step up? SHe had to be the adult. (But to his credit, Xander doesn't try to take any authority away from Kordi, understanding that despite his love of ships, she is doing what is best).
She is the Freemaker that makes good decisions for her family, but slowly learns to take care of the rest of the galaxy (More weight on her back), working with space mom Hera Syndulla and sister herself Leia.
She's an amazing sister who can come off as bossy and greedy because she is trying so hard to keep her family afloat! Without her, there wouldn't be a place for the Freemakers to call home. Before there was the force or alliance, there was Kordi Freemaker, saving her brothers and Ro-GR on a daily basis.

One of Jay's most underated quotes to me
"If you don't like sneaking around, why become a ninja?"--said when they are breaking into Ronin's shop into Possesion in a whispery voice which makes it even funnier

Its even funnier because Jay was totally right, what did they think being a ninja would entail. And in later seasons they don't even hesitate to steal from the greater good (unless you're Wu in Crystalized)

Rewatching Ninjago Hunted and...

I feel so bad for Lloyd. Specifically, how everyone was like 'You have to be the leader'. I get it, he is the face of the ninja, and we could tell from radio coty ninjago and the live fight from the previous season that the people really connected with him. But the boy just been beat up by his dad, lost his powers, and all his friends excluding Pixal and Nya were gone. And those 2 should not be forced into leadership either because they just went through the same thing (only Nya also lost her brother, which is worse). Not saying Dareth or Misako should have led, but Skylor was right there and all the elemental masters obviously trusted her (ironically enough). Like, Lloyd could have still been the face, but didn't have EVERYTHING PUT ON HIM. hm, the FSM seems to like doing that to his family.
#Ninjago#ninjago hunted#Ninjago Lloyd#Ninjago Skylor#Ninjago Nya#Ninjago P.I.X.A.L#No offense to the writers I get why Lloyd had to be the leader#If you can't tell I don't like the first spinjitzu master

Okay, so I LOVE Viziepop's Zoophobia and while I respect how she worked on her more passionate projects, I am said it never got an ending or questions answered. So I just wanted to put some of my favorite plot points here and see what you guys think could have been and what you think of my ideas.
1. Cameron's love interests

So I read aomewhere that this girl was gonna have multiple love i terests introduced throughout the story (and this queen deserves all the love). I am pretty sure none had been i troduced in the short beginning we got so--what do you think love interests for Cameron could be like?
2. Mackenzie and Addison

I refuse Gustav being Addison's endgame. I also know there's this whole sleepr agent Addison story line but I am ignoring that for this since the story never even got to the hints of that. Not that I wand Mackenzie dating Addison--I just wanted them to become friends. They are actually really similar, and I think, if they worked through their issues, they could be good friends. (Mac obviously has good taste, as she did not like Gustav either).
3. Jack's family

How did Narissa meet the devil? Literally, that is all I want to know? Why is Jack's mom so cool with this? Also want to know more about Jack's mom.
4. Reuben and Autumn
Date. Please. Also, Autumn being an eldest sibling really connected for me, so I would have liked to see that more.
5. Other characters
I loved the main 5, and along with the characters I have already mentioned, I would have loved to learn more about Sahara, who was one of my favs. Like, why is she one of the only himans here? Has she always lived in the heaven?

AND WHAT WAS GOING ON BETWEEN SIMON AND FABIAN?

Simon called him pretty boy. Guys I need answers.
Also Ink. She's great. And maybe Jack and Damian getting along? I'm sorry, but as an eldest sibling I feel a need to end conflict.
I know there was a lot of other stuff going on and Vizie had way huger plans than this little points--but I really love these little points. Also, I really liked Jack talking to Cameron about struggling when friends start dating--i feel like no one talk about that. Its just 'they are a couple. Be happy for them.' And ignore how friendships are just as important and need time too. Plus, society puts too much pressure on romantic reltionships to consume all one's time and space (my roommate and her boyfriend will not separate, and it creep everyone out guys, I'm not joking)
Anyway, I love Zoophobia. ❤️
#Zoophobia#zoophobia Cameron#if this is anyone's art then please tell me#it was hard to tell what was V's and not#zoophobia MacKenzie#Zoophobia Addison#Zoophobia Jack

Juno's family
You guys ever think about all those scientists stuck on Mars? How they all have lives and people they love back home, but when it came down to it, they all cared more that Juno got a chance at that life? No arguing, no fighting--they looked at this young woman they had all raised and decided she deserved a chance at a real life. They choose slow starvation so Juno could live a full life and they think that's it for them and I think about this far too much.

Overwatch Extended Family
Okay, so is anyone else obsessed with the Overwatch characters extended families?
Like Sojourn's sister Valentine and niece Bonnie, that latter of whom had to get cybernetic implants. Like, what happened to them after the 1st crisis, and now. How are they living their lives?
And for some reason, I am very interested in Efi's aunt Yewande--I know, she's that relative we all love to hate but--I love her being this proud person whose found her family broken, with her son wanting to make another war like the one she was so scarred by (She knows this cool fighting move that Efi wanted to learn, but Yewande doesn't like talking about the crisis).
Then we have Reaper's wife Martina and his son. As far as I know, neither know Reyes is still alive. But still--when they hear about Overwatch, do they think of this heroic man and miss him? Not knowing what he has become. Martina had to have grieved for him. And that dialogue between Reaper--how would she react to learning the truth, and seeing Reaper?
What the Junk happened to Genji's and Hanzo's mom (I want her to be a villain so bad for no reason guys. I have a story written out). Mei's family--what did they think happened to her in those 9 years? What happened when she rejoined the world? Pharah's dad Sam--what is life like for him? Has he learned about Ana being alive? What were Junker Queen's siblings like (I'm an oldest sibling, so the angst of losing them connects me to her so much). And I want to know about Reinhardt reading Marta's (Lindholm's grandaughter) stories so bad.
There is so much story potential there--like who does Bonnie want to be? Does she want to be like her aunt? Or does she feel she has to, because that's the only place she sees people with cybernetics like her? How are Efi's cousins doing (And we should have more Efi in general)?
#overwatch#overwatch efi#efi#Reaper#Martina Reyes#Also want more of Emily#I love her so much guys#I am convinced Genji's mom is a bad person#I love Reinhardt reading Marta's books
